Foxxy needles in the hospital aren't like tattooing needles. Go to a shop and look at the gun, the needle looks more like a sewing needle.

It's the fact that it's a needle. The only needle I'm not afraid of are sewing needles because I KNOW they aren't going in my skin at all. I'm afraid of sewing machine needles because I'm a klutz who could easily get my finger in the way of that fast moving SOB and stab my finger/hand half to death.
