Yeah. I'll be honest, most of the time I lose interest WAY before ours kinda dropped off. Like, way WAY before. I flick from obsession to obsession on a weekly basis, more or less. But I tend to circle back round eventually. If we're being really, REALLY honest, I would have normally lost interest in Tris by now, too.

Even without the issues, really. I HAVE to keep my mind working. Once I learn more or less all there is to know about something for the time being, I drift away from it, because there's just the same conversations to be had, over and over and over.
That's also part of why I'm not good at talking like you and Ren can sometimes. I just can't do it. So I circle round different interests, and by the time I get back to it, there's new ideas and thoughts to be had! |
Honestly i hate talking like that but ren never carries his part of the convo. So it stays mundane and topicless.. which makes me sad but whatever ya know.

It was a pony character. The earth pony son of a unicorn couple. His entire thing was trying to do what unicorns could do with their magic, but with his own inventions. His dream was to be able to fly like a pegasus, but one of his early tries went wrong and he lost an eye because of it. He was smart as anything, but weak compared to other earth stallions... Strong compared to unicorn stallions, but again, no magic.
He was very... Well, dedicated, brash, hard headed, passionate. He was fabulous. |

Yeah.
He was paired up with my, you guessed it, pegasus stallion. So there was a bit of jealousy going on. My Plum was more mature and level headed than Pixel, but Pixel was the one that wanted to stay in his comfort zone, whereas Plum wanted to continue to be part of the world, and eventually succeed in his dream of being a member of the royal guard. |

I tend to have terrible luck finding people with the same passion for characters as I do. It's always about some great epic story, with the characters just being filler. Bah. I spent 3 days going through my oh so lovely tetragametic chimera's battle with drugs... Dilaudid was his flavor. Got hooked in a hospital.
... I work well with vague plots and filling out the details as we go. My partner and I were planning the transition from my little fella being watched all the time to being legit functional again, while the character helping to take care of him is dealing with his recent breakup. Poor thing got cheated on. ... My headaches have been murdering any and all attempts at rping again, though. -sigh- Also, wb Sami. |
I'm not judging. I have met several good Rpers and stuff, I is just that I've met more sub par or horrid rpers then good ones.
See, I love my characters to death but I also try not to lose focaus of what their doing and most people won't play with me because sometimes my characters will make a 'non-human' choice. Even if the action isn't out of character since it is one no sane human would make most people ask me to edit it to more human. I haven't rped in a while because either my rp fell through, my partner stopped playing and didn't say why, or the rp wasn't going anywhere. |

At the point that we left off, things are getting better, but there's still the key issue of what made him go that route to begin with left to take care of. Poor boo. That is the thing with non-human ones, they either function or they don't. The other characters have to be the human type or able to provide some sort of moral compass for the non-humans to funtion or they end up dead rather quickly. If you have two non-humans that don't complete the others short fallings your Rp will be rather boring or all action and no plot.

This is very true. But it can make such a wonderful challenge, I can't help but have a couple ready, should the chance ever come to use them.

And as for ready characters I always try to have alot ready to use and have who they are all planned out even if they only get a line or two. |
I. Would not say that I have a lot. 20 maybe? ... Which is not a lot when you consider that not all would work in the same types of settings... Then I have another... 4 currently in their development phases.

In my free time I create characters so I say I'm verging on about 200 right now. Of course the specifics aren't there as I don't know what kind of world will be their sand box but I have an outline that is very easy to flesh out. Like/dislikes, temperament, emotional range, eye color, age,and approximate intelligence are usually what the outlines consist of.

I'm uncomfortable playing them without the specifics there. You could ask Sami, I get a little crazy with my characters, lol. I'm not sure my character rants are for the faint of heart.

Once I get the world I'm playing for I fill them out. It is easier to do that when I have a general idea of what they are like and who they want to be. And if I have a thing on their sheet that doesn't exist in the realm they now reside in it gets a little editing to make sense.

I tend to just do mass editing to take care of everything, lol. The only real limits are whether or not their species is plausible. The rest is pretty easy for me to pull a little butterfly effect magic.

I don't often do mass editing unless I need another species as most of my characters are created as a human. I have a few faries/faes/warlocks thrown in but those where usually created for a specific purpose or requested. I have vampires too, but those where all created for the Rp "The Thirteenth Season" and are not used elsewhere.

I have... Hm. Humans, of course. Aliens, robots, androids, demons, angels, mythical based stuff, some magic folk, grim reaper... And a couple animal based critters in there. Cow and jellyfish. Oh, and ponies. I'm still developing my vampire.

If I were to play in a realms that required another type of being I would have to do a mass edit as to make a human type into another type of creature. Humans and vapires are the easiest being to create and also the easiest ones to turn into another species. (Vampire Ponies! Vampire Jellyfish~) Vampires are easy to create but hard to play and so I only have one vampire RP which has kind of died.

My favorite is in making my characters deformed or disabled or plain useless in one way or another... That, or them having some prejudice against them.
I have great fun with the doctor/nurse/medic types, if you couldn't tell. Pretty sure you could though. |
I like it when my characters cannot communicate with the others. Whether by a deformity or by choice. I once tried having a character with predejuice but that kind of fell flat because of my own brain chemistry in which predejuice doesn't make sense. Facial/physical deformities are another favorite of mine and short people make the list to. I don't think I've ever played anyone taller then 5' 7' even though I have character sheets for taller people. Smart people are another thing I'm always playing along with riddle makers because it just adds another level to social seperation.
Morals are fun to play with too, my normally have strong ones (sometimes in the 'correct' dirrect sometimes not) or none at all. Dark histories and bad blood run amok. And I had absolutely no idea that you liked nurse types~ ;) |
