Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 02:21 AM

Death is such a strong word... I prefer "corporeally dislocated".

Espy 11-25-2013 02:22 AM

-raises an eyebrow- That's not much different, old man.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 02:25 AM

He should totally have a conversation with Shealtiel in the 10 seconds he's dead. :D

Espy 11-25-2013 02:31 AM

"Oh, hi, how...erm...nice to see y--"

-yanked back to his corporeal form-

Lawtan 11-25-2013 02:33 AM

-is lost towards that character in death thing-
I thought it was clear...if a fast acting venom causes you to pass out quickly...your chances of survival are slim unless you are Thomas-like.
Umm...as a note, there may still be venom in Dante's blood...as a warning to restoring him to life...

Muahahaha! The ideas of blood! *Goes on a routine Jason-esq Murder Spree*
Speaking of psychos...look up "Take This Lollipop"

Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 02:33 AM

Obviously time flows differently in post-mortal shock. :P

And, oh don't worry, Lawtan, he's got the blood covered. ;)

Also, Shealtiel, was my necromancer in the previous Esch roleplay. He, um, liked to harass Dante. :P

Espy 11-25-2013 02:34 AM

...Law, you're not helping Suze get out of the mindset that you're a serial killer >.>

Lawtan 11-25-2013 02:37 AM

...
*Refuses to comment on such a possibility*

Is your address 2345 Dudley Ln.? Next to Potter Street.

Espy 11-25-2013 02:39 AM

But then again, leaving him in debilitating pain until Gall's healerboy rolls along would be amusing.

Oh, Tarja can do that one already. ;). Well, perhaps not *pure* fire but when you're burning to death from the inside out, is there really any appreciable difference?

Still at a loss for what to post. -.-

Lawtan 11-25-2013 02:43 AM

Tanja + Unnamed person interaction?
I was meaning that the enzymes from the venom get into the bloodstream, making havoc, and it likely feels like fire running with each heartbeat across your body...
...I may have had nightmares about snake venom before due to copperheads in my home for a few years...

Espy 11-25-2013 02:47 AM

IN your home? Holy fucking hell.

Nah, I don't need my piss to feel like fire; heartburns are bad enough.

Lawtan 11-25-2013 02:55 AM

Well, under/in the garage. Clay+Stone = very little "basement" space...but it is "cubby" enough to lay eggs in.
Black snakes (Rat Snakes) chase copperheads out, btw. Not knowing this, my parents killed a few...and I got to walk within ~1 meter of one as a kid as a result, saying "I won't bother you, if you don't bother me..."
It worked...until I told everyone else there was a snake...then it met Mr. Shovel.
I've also seen a black widow and her young meet their end in a cup of bleach. It left the exoskeleton of the spider...and her babies in their eggs...you could make out the forms...

Espy 11-25-2013 02:57 AM

Yeah, if you have to kill something, at least make the death quick and relatively painless. Bleach is not a good way to go.

Lawtan 11-25-2013 03:00 AM

*Shrugs* That was when I still hadn't quite learned that bugs were more than toys for me to play with, and my parents have few qualms about sending hundreds of invasive beetles to drown for eating the raspberry and blackberry bushes.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 03:02 AM

The unclean spirits came out and entered into the pigs.
The herd of about two thousand rushed down the steep bank into the sea,
and they were drowned in the sea.

Espy 11-25-2013 03:04 AM

...I get really twitchy when there's meaningless bloodshed and suffering. Probably being a bit too empathetic.

?

I was referring to turning blood to pure fire, since the comment was floating around.

As to noticing little things, you might be surprised what people notice, or don't notice, when reading. A lot of it has to do with what people are familiar with. An IV doesn't necessarily use a syringe, hence why I was confused. I can understand the pump, but the two together seems odd. I'm not totally sure though. It's getting a little out of my area.

Lawtan 11-25-2013 03:24 AM

*Knows, but it was either let an invasive species of insects kill the crops, or kill them. And it was either let the spiders threaten myself as a kid, or kill them. Oddly, after I was older, I started to feel bad about stepping on snails and other creatures. Heck, my parents think me to sentimental for saving beetles from drowning nowdays.*

Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 03:26 AM

If it wasn't clear, my previous post had the invisible prefix: "WWJD?" :|

Espy 11-25-2013 03:28 AM

-snorts in amusement-

Espy 11-25-2013 11:55 AM

Suze should post refs for Thomas. Art needs to be a thing.

Lawtan 11-25-2013 12:12 PM

Actually, could I try to draw the different Eschaton characters?

Espy 11-25-2013 12:14 PM

Nothing preventing you from doing that. But I know you're a bit protective of your own characters -- may I draw her?

Lawtan 11-25-2013 12:33 PM

If you do, mind if I watch? (I know you don't really like that, but I think I may be able to do better if I see it in practice)

Espy 11-25-2013 12:38 PM

Unless you are somehow able to watch me draw in class, no.

Lawtan 11-25-2013 12:41 PM

Nuts...
I admit I am more twitchy on Kadia than on my other characters...mainly because I drew her so poorly a while back and haven't corrected that yet...
Go ahead and draw her, but could you hold off a day or so on posting her...
I know that is asking a ton.

Espy 11-25-2013 12:44 PM

-shrug- I can just not draw her, like I didn't with Calli.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-25-2013 02:17 PM

I've never really actually given much thought to how Thomas looks before, but I suppose: Middling height, shaven head and beard grown to noticeable stubble in the time we've been here, wears a beige full-length robe set with ceramic plates like a medieval Jack of Plates, obviously his right hand has been burned down to titanium at this point, carries that massive rifle slung across his back (it's 5 ft. long, weighs 30 pounds), sawn-off shotgun holstered on his hip, SMG in the breast of his robe. Deep-set eyes (has weird augmented reality lenses, not sure what they look like) --alternatively his eyes are on fire while he's wielding his theurgy..., either wears a mantle the same color as his robe or has the electro-tentacles visible. Has his wrist-blades, 18". Has a white leather glove on his non-burned hand, dirty white white leather high combat boots. Belt is also white leather (because cyborgs have fashion sense!), thick with a large bronze buckle.

I think that's about it.

A really terrible mock-up: :X

Espy 11-25-2013 10:28 PM

....He looks like a gun-toting Jedi.

Gallagher 11-25-2013 10:34 PM

ELL. OH. ELL.

omg espy.

Espy 11-25-2013 10:57 PM

What?! He does! Even before Suze posted a pic.

Gallagher 11-25-2013 10:58 PM

I keep accidentally imagining him without his fake skin because it's so useless and unneeded.

Espy 11-25-2013 10:59 PM

But maybe "I don't want to look like a ghastly abomination"?

Gallagher 11-25-2013 11:11 PM

Nah. He doesn't even care. It's just for the benefit of the likes of our charries.

Espy 11-26-2013 01:18 AM

....Welp, I was going to draw, and then my mental state went nope, and theeennnn I realized tomorrow's the last day of class before TG and my parents are coming and oh god I don't know if that's a good thing or not.

Espy 11-26-2013 04:44 AM

So I did a scribbly thing because physics got boring. Just a quick ref for Dante if anyone needs it/shameless art plug. Don't worry about the stuff on the right. Was doing face comparisons.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-26-2013 05:35 AM

That looks really good, Espy. :)

I'm currently in the process of trying to figure out just what sort of deer skull Tarja has on her head. I need to find a deer with a skull big enough to rest on top of a human skull, but with small enough antlers that can still fit through doorways. I'd go with white tail but there don't appear to be any of those outside of North America.

Espy 11-26-2013 05:50 AM

Hm...Muntjac have pretty small horns, but they're not as...pretty...as the deer we usually think of.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-26-2013 06:42 AM

Not as impressive, true, but infinitely more practical. If they're the same guys I saw all over the walls of a German pub, then they might not be big enough. Of course, could always just say that one of them *was* big enough.

Or maybe her parents took a hunting trip to North America and brought home a trophy, pre-end of the world.
