I haven't RP'd in years, but I must say...this highly thought out plot and detail almost makes me want to take it back up.

Salone 07-08-2011 06:10 PM

Might as well. It's great fun, and we're not bad people. I'll try not to eat you.

I mean that.

CupcakeDolly 07-08-2011 06:26 PM

Um yeah... I would stay away from Lev's teeth. =P

And if you want to join, you'll have to ask Suzerain. He only wanted a certain amount of members for this one, and last I heard there was a spot reserved for someone else who was interested, should they ever choose to join.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-08-2011 11:48 PM

Sigh, of all the days to miss...

Kasi'l, I'd love to had another interested player, but... the way this is going, I can barely keep up with the 7 characters we have, especially considering the way the group constantly breaks up. I don't think there's really room for an 8th character at this point. I'm sorry.

And, everyone else, I have a lot of catching up to do....

Espy 07-09-2011 12:02 AM

....Lots of stuff to read through again, I assume? ALSO. SUZE. I bought Salvatore's trilogy (the one that starts with Orc King)....and it had better be good >.> Of course, I read through the first book a bit, and kinda laughed. If I ever equip Dante with dual swords, it won't be because of his similarity to Drizzt.

And then I also bought the Black Prism (Brent Weeks) and the UNIVERSE book + DVD.

Salone 07-09-2011 12:04 AM

Ever read the Wheel of Time series Espy?

Espy 07-09-2011 12:05 AM

But but but....(I've just read the OOC posts)....Dante does very much like Rue >.> Although he and Lev will probably always be fighting like two male lions.

...No pun intended.

And....no. But I've heard of it. And I got a few looks today, hahaha...(was reading Vagabond...which IS a mature-rated manga. And I'm tiny.)

Salone 07-09-2011 12:07 AM

That pun was intended and you know it. Besides, Lev is the mane attraction between the two.

Sorry...I had to paws and consider if I wanted to use that one. But I'd be lion if I said I didn't enjoy me some gawdawful puns.

Espy 07-09-2011 12:16 AM

-headdeskx3- No really, I hadn't thought of Lev as a lion when I started to type.

Salone 07-09-2011 12:18 AM

Naw, it's fine. And two male lions is better than two mail lions. You should see those guys fight over delivery routes.

Anyway, so who all is on tonight? Espy, I see you. I know Dolly is lurking around somewhere.

Salone 07-09-2011 12:27 AM

Sigh. We need to all use MSN or AIM or something. So we don't clutter things up when we're just chit chatting.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 12:38 AM

Blah, I'm totally exhausted. Sorry, my post is going to have to wait for tomorrow. I've had a really long day.

And... Espy... um... uh... I wouldn't recommend that trilogy to anyone. Like, not at all. Did I say something to indicate otherwise somewhere?

Espy 07-09-2011 12:40 AM

Nah, it's just because it's Salvatore, haha. (But really, I think it's decent. But extremely dense x_____X I've low expectations of books, sometimes.)

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 12:43 AM

Oh, you already read Salvatore? I thought this was your first foray into him, which would be... not a very good place to start. :p

And, the Pirate King is easily the worst of the lot. It's a stagnant mess of a side-story that barely even features Drizzt. I ended up skipping half the scenes out of sheer boredom.

Espy 07-09-2011 12:46 AM

Unfortunately, this IS my first foray into Salvatore's works. -sigh- Out of all the books there....

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 12:49 AM

Oh, wow, um... yeah, that's really not a good idea. Probably the worst place you could possibly start. :p

You can't return it by any chance, can you?

Espy 07-09-2011 12:51 AM

Nah, the $24 doesn't really bother me. Yet. (The lack of booksshelf space does, though...) But who knows, I get the feeling I'll be buying more Salvatore soon. Even though....let's just say my dad wasn't too happy about them being of the fantasy genre. Haha....

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 12:54 AM

I kind of worry reading those 3 will spoil all the others for you, both in terms of plot events, and in how different the characters are in this trilogy than previously. It isn't called Transitions for nothing. :p

And why wasn't your dad happy about that?

Espy 07-09-2011 12:55 AM

Because he wants me to read something more....LITERATURE-Y. Like...famous stuff. Think, Great Expectations and Huck Finn.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 12:56 AM

Oh, those. *yawn*

/wants to be an English Ph. D. :p

Espy 07-09-2011 01:03 AM

-raises eyebrow-

Oh, before I make another trip to the bookstore (probably next week), what's your rec for Salvatore? Because, at my fastest, I'll probably have only gotten halfway through Weeks's Black Prism by then.

Serra Britt 07-09-2011 02:45 AM

Salone, I love what you wrote ;) It's so true too...Feenai just doesn't belong in a way... :p

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 09:53 AM

@Espy, start with The Dark Elf Trilogy. It's not only his best work, but the chronological beginning of the story. :p

Salone 07-09-2011 12:52 PM

Aww. Wasn't meant to be insulting to her. Just was trying to say there was nothing wrong with him at the time. He's just not that eloquent.

Serra Britt 07-09-2011 12:56 PM

I know you weren't Salone. Feenai is very innocent and naive and the way you wrote that fit very well.

Speaking of MSN, feel free to add me. That goes for any of you who want to also. I have the details on my profile or you can PM me yours and I will add you ;)

Suzerain of Sheol 07-09-2011 01:00 PM

So... what are you guys planning to do next? Are we still going to break into an armory? It seems like Lev is already all set, but I'm sure the others could benefit.

Serra Britt 07-09-2011 01:11 PM

I'm more of a tagalong to the group, but I'm sure outfitting everyone else would do wonders. Feenai can find an armory and probably a way in if she put her mind to it.

Espy 07-09-2011 03:08 PM

Yeah, I think I'll do that next wesk.

Funkduder 07-10-2011 01:31 AM

This was probably one of the worst days to miss out on. XD *Goes to play 'catch-up'*

Salone 07-10-2011 01:37 AM

Lev wants an Ordinance Transmitter. Would that be in an armory? And his weapons can deffo help get in to one. He's also kind of wondering if he would survive a Transmitter.

Espy 07-10-2011 02:09 AM

Sooner or later, that alcohol is gonna catch up to Dante...-starts planning something mischievous to do to her character-

(Dante: Hey! Stop hurting me D:<)

Serra Britt 07-10-2011 02:48 AM

I think the alcohol did something to Feenai. But I don't think of her as lightweight.

Funkduder 07-10-2011 03:36 AM

Mega post for the F-ing win. Make what you'd like of it. I'm probably going to be on for smaller periods of time tomorrow.

Espy 07-10-2011 03:49 AM

gotta be up at 6:30 tomorrow, so i gtg sleep x___X;

Salone 07-10-2011 03:33 PM

Oh Suuuuz. What are the rules, regulations, and policies regarding possession by demons/angels/higher spiritual beings?

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 04:06 PM

They can do it, the ease of which depends on the host's spiritual potency (i.e. good luck possessing Shealtiel.) They can be exorcised by Theurges or Servants of Sheol (obviously, one will have an easier time with demons instead of undead and vice versa). Psychic powers won't really work for exorcising, though other things like tapping into the host's actual mind beneath the possession ought to be possible.

Oh, and the difficulty of an exorcism is obviously based on how powerful the possessing spirit is.

Serra Britt 07-10-2011 06:25 PM

Aww, how much longer will Fee survive with Rue hating her and Lev unknowingly wanting to eat her XP

Salone 07-10-2011 07:02 PM

Okay, was just curious. Might use that to explain Lev's...urges. And of course, various plot devices, character traits, and other things.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-10-2011 07:07 PM

Oh, you mentioned an Ordinance Transmitter above. Forgot to address that.

Those are rare on the level of "likely to only show up once in this RP". Corinth is too small of a city to have one. I wouldn't be surprised if there was one on hand somewhere in the Seven Churches, though it would certainly be highly prized.

I kind of shudder to imagine what use Lev would have for a nuclear launch code. :p
