I wish I were taking an art course of any kind. =/ I'm an amature artist. I'm teaching myself, and it's going alright. I just think I would do a lot better if I were taking courses.

Edit: I figured as much. ^^ It's good! I was able to recognize it, I'm sure a lot of other people can too!

Jubeii 07-17-2011 05:57 PM

@Lady: Oh XD you plan on donating?

@Athilea: Well if you take an arts course they tend to have figure drawing courses which involve nude models. So if you can't handle that...just be prepaired XD

nyreen 07-17-2011 05:58 PM

Thank you!
I did like her character. <3
I had an avatar earlier and someone said it looked similar to Ivy. I made everything green instead of black pretty much, and yeah!

OongaChaka 07-17-2011 05:58 PM

@Jubeii: Oooh, Illustration. I've been wanting to take a class on that but it gets full really fast. ;[

Woah, this page is full of awesome avatars. o 3o''

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 05:59 PM

I always loved Ivy to!

Yeah, I know. I don't mind nudity. I just want to be able to take something to help improve my skills.

Yoko 07-17-2011 06:03 PM

Hmmmm...
I haven't buy any yearlies yet...oups ^^;

And...I missed a lot again apparently...shoot...

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:05 PM

@Chaka: Well like I said, I'm not in that course yet unfortunatly >.<

@Ath: Then I'd suggest searching for a place near you that gives Life Drawing/Figure Drawing classes. That will greatly help you with proportions and drawing in general.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:05 PM

I would love to get the yearlies, but I don't think that's going to happen.

Edit: Yeah, I've thought about that Jubeii. It's just a matter of money really.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:10 PM

well Ath, the figure drawing/life drawing classes shouldn't be all that much per month really as long as its one where they get a model to come in and you just draw them for a few hours 2-3 times a week. The one I went to was less than $50 a month I think.

OongaChaka 07-17-2011 06:15 PM

I'm taking Human Figure Painting class, and we recently lost out model thanks to the government cutting funds. :'D
Now we paint the air.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:17 PM

Oh, that's not bad at all. I may consider that. Something else I've thought of is doing stock photos with my husband and myself once we get fit. We are currently doing P90X, for anyone who knows what that is, and we should get fit fairly fast.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:20 PM

@Chaka: That sucks >.< But the one I go to is run by a teacher that teaches at the college I go to XD It was so funny when I saw him while hanging out in the art hall in my school XD

@Ath: Well I'd say fit or not you can always draw yourself since the models you get won't always be fit. They can be old, young, fit, not fit, chubby, etc... you need to be able to draw ALL KINDS of people.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:21 PM

Yeah, but my hubby wont do it unless he's fit....

I also kinda have...umm...excess skin from my pregnancy so I'm not really comfortable having pictures taken of me until after I can get the surgery to have that removed.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:24 PM

Ah I see XD Then I can understand why you want to get fit and stuff first.

*Zane 07-17-2011 06:26 PM

/wanders in/ ello everyone

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:30 PM

welcome back Zane ^_^

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:31 PM

Yeah. It's not horrible, but it's enough that it really bothers me.

On another note, do you know of good maniken type models that would be good? I hate the wooden ones. I cannot pose them worth a darn.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:36 PM

Er... I know there's a plastic one that looks more like an actual human but i don't really know where you can get it aside from Curry's Art store...or however you spell it >.<

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:37 PM

Thank you. I will check it out. Have you tried to use it yourself?

Yoko 07-17-2011 06:39 PM

Greetings Super-Zane!
*has once again miss too much, oh for the love of...*

*Zane 07-17-2011 06:42 PM

xDDD hullo Nef, whats up?

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:46 PM

@Ath: I have it XD It's sitting on a shelf right now since I don't really need it anymore. Though it's there if I ever want to use it again. I thought it was fine. Btw if you need help with drawing hands the big wooden hand is really good since you can move all the fingers and such. Curry's might have that too. My friend in highschool bought that one.

@Nefer: lol don't sweat it, your busy right?

Angel Spirit Girl 07-17-2011 06:47 PM

I thought the yearlies left at the beginning or end of September.

I'll get them next month just to be safe.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:48 PM

I bet that would be good. I checked out their website, but all that I see are the wooden models. Are these the ones that you have?

Jubeii 07-17-2011 06:53 PM

@Ath: Yeah, those are the ones I'm talking about. I got a male one since it's easier to change a guy into a girl XD Or at least in my oppinion its easier to change a guy to a girl.

Yoko 07-17-2011 06:54 PM

@Zane: Nothing much, talking to people on msn mostly, and seeing random videos they send me @_@ You?

@Jubeii: Kinda ya ^^;

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 06:55 PM

I'm thinking of grabbing both of them so that I can do couple pictures of mine and my hubbies characters more easily. >.>

Are they easy to pose and do they hold the pose well?

*Zane 07-17-2011 06:58 PM

Nef;; eh not much, doing a commish and listenin to music. thats about it xD
i got no one really to bother on msn. lol.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 07:02 PM

I think they were easy enough to pose and stay in that pose. I can't really recall since it's been a long time since I last used them >.<

Yoko 07-17-2011 07:07 PM

@Zane: Lol, personally it's more like people bother ME on msn right now xD

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 07:08 PM

I've seen mixed reviews on them, though most of them were positive. I just like to hear something from someone who has used them when I can ask questions.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 07:10 PM

@Ath: Sorry I coulnd't be of much help >.<

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 07:13 PM

No, you were more help then you think. The fact that you have the male that I was looking at is helpful. If they had been particularly bad to use, you would have remembered. Just Like I remember how much I hate the wooden ones.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 07:22 PM

that's true XD If it sucked I probably would have remembered.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 07:30 PM

Hehe. So I think that I'm going to get them in a couple of weeks. Thank you.

Shadow Mask 07-17-2011 07:31 PM

-wanders in, again- Blah. Sadrain forced me to watch cheesy wolf animation movie. I feel like I need to wash my brain.

Athilea Majiri 07-17-2011 07:35 PM

Aww. It's okay Shadow. ^^

Shadow Mask 07-17-2011 07:37 PM

-stares at her title- Now I definitely need to post more. >_>

And no, it is NOT okay. -rages inside-

But now I bid you good night. >3>

P. S. Sadrain said I must tell you you have interesting avatar in a lovely way.

Jubeii 07-17-2011 07:39 PM

@Ath: well i hope it helps you ^_^

@Mask: Welcome back ^_^

Yoko 07-17-2011 07:40 PM

Hmmm...Good night then Shadow?
