I have a thing called "social fixer" on facebook for things like the elections - if it has the words "Trump", "Hillary", or "politics/politician" in it, I don't see it.

oh that's clever, Law. i just stick to my notifications, and skim my feed, really.

i'm not cool/popular enough to ever have more then like 2 notifications on facebook xD

i get notifications from family and friends that i tell facebook to notify me when they post.

It's not even the politics.
I have people getting mad at me for not using the messenger app, or people sending me TEXTS asking me if I checked their profile for such and such announcement, and just nonsense scrolling. I uninstalled it in august and only re-downloaded it so I could keep people updated on my surgery progress, and instantly people thought that meant they could just call and message and try to video call nonstop (when I was supposed to be sleeping and resting up) and I'm just fed up with it.
After I took it off my phone I watched how everyone around me was constantly in their phone.
I'm still using things like instagram, snapchat and tumblr, but I find these things take less then 2 hours out of my day WHEN I decide to actually get on them(mainly scrolling through food blogs is what kills time the most XD), which I don't always do either.
-throws hands in the air- just minuscule shenanigans.

when i was in college, i wrote op-ed for our campus paper. i thought what i wrote was awesome, so on the days the paper came out, everyone i'd meet, i'd ask if they read my article. 'didja read my article??'

at some point, someone (i don't remember who now) said that maybe everyone didn't really like me all up in their face, asking if they read what i wrote. so i thought about it - and stopped.

and then i had a few people here and there come up to me and tell me that they did read my article and this is what they thought of it.

as a result, when i post things, i don't go around texting or messaging everyone 'didja read my post?!?' cause... no. just no.

i'm more on instagram than facebook too, actually. XD

When I do actually get curious I check em...but mostly its just REALLY stupid stuff.
When I say I used to be into social media....
My old facebook has 2800+ friends, 300 or so whom I had met in person at festivals or concerts and the rest just adding me for idk why .-. my body paint? -shrugs- that one got reported for a false name (because of course I didn't want anyone creeping on the real me) and after that I started slowly hating facebook and what it had turned me into, and as time goes on I hate it more and more.
I used to sit up till 3 am talking to random people just because they messaged me .-. Now I would really rather if people just left me alone....

and we hired another new girl so even though I'm not managing the 2 people, I still have to make sure their on task and provide them with the materials to do their job?
