i have definitely been getting enough damn sleep.

Merskelly Metalien 09-23-2019 09:56 PM

Try sleeping in a healing tank.
Like in Dragon Ball Z. <x}
Gosh I wish those were a real thing.. >w>

Ava 09-24-2019 02:01 PM

I've recently been told that I've been sleeping too much,
At least 14+ hours a night...

But now I am on a schedule where I go to sleep at 10pm and wake up at (At most) 9am

I was doing pretty well for a few weeks...
But something happened and I ended up staying in bed for like three days

:(

Merskelly Metalien 09-24-2019 03:15 PM

<:] Honestly that used to be me a few years ago..
I used to stay in bed 'til almost noon every day,
and go to bed around midnight. >->; not sure if it was a depressive symptom or not, but I was pretty low back then..
Now I get adequate sleep, but I'm not sleeping when I'm supposed to. <~<; Because I struggle with my own established schedule..
<x} Go figure...I always want to do what I want to do, except when I don't.

Sticking to a sleeping schedule is hard tho. I keep telling myself I will go to bed at a reasonable time--- then next thing I know an event happens here on Tris and suddenly I'm wide awake again at 4am.

Ava 09-24-2019 04:33 PM

I was doing pretty well at sticking to my sleep schedule...

Something happened, though, which I won't go into detail. But I guess I just felt really sad and hopeless and was in pain, so I literally just laid in bed for a few days. I only got up to use the bathroom.

That totally ruined my sleep schedule too.
I felt like shit, I was doing so well with my sleep, but then that happened and now it's all messed up again.

Merskelly Metalien 09-24-2019 07:16 PM

<:{ Man that sucks. That kept happening to me too!
<x{ Mostly after my break-up, but,
I eventually got over it. >->
Sorry it's all messed up again. <:/ But I hope you get it back on track. It's a struggle..
Also I kinda relied on tea more to help me relax and help me wake up. :] Tea is nice.
Would you like some tea Ava? I got teas n' stuff here. *pulls fish out of pond* :[ oh, not that,
*tosses it back and pulls up a tea cup* this! :]

Ava 09-24-2019 11:01 PM

Oo! I love tea :D
I used to drink chamomile with honey before bed. It was really, really relaxing. I think I still have loads of loose leaf chamomile tea.

What's your favorite kind of tea?

I personally love PG Tips :d

Merskelly Metalien 09-25-2019 01:50 AM

:] Chamomile is a very relaxing herbal tea used to help with stress, sickness, sleep and anxiety. It's also good for digestion. ^-^
I have a special loose-leaf native American medicine tea that helps with sleep and relaxation too. :] I drink it when I'm very sick or in pain and/or am unable to sleep at night. Turmeric tea is good for pain and stomach aches too. :]

I'm into more herbal teas, but I enjoy a good flavored tea too now and then. ^-^
I have a blood-orange smoothie tea which smells and tastes very good.
But my favorite teas have lemon or citrus in them. :]
With tea season coming around the bend, I'm excited to have a cup in the morning, and the evening to help warm me up and relax me when it gets stressful and chilly. ^-^ <3

if you're unable to keep much down, i hear those sports drinks (gatorade / isotonic) help with hydration and electrolytes.

Merskelly Metalien 09-25-2019 11:45 AM

:] That's true. Very good for low appetite and energy when you've got a fever or are sick.
Or like,
doing athletic activity. x}

Stabbsworth 09-25-2019 01:38 PM

ye. they're designed to hydrate you.

Ava 09-26-2019 12:33 AM

It's been a struggle for me to hydrate myself. >:(
I think it's just because I don't like the feeling of liquid swishing around in my tummy
>n<

Stabbsworth 09-26-2019 09:12 AM

hrnghghghghghghgh motivation centers in my brain pls activate

Merskelly Metalien 09-26-2019 11:52 AM

X} I'm just the opposite, I love the feeling of liquids swishing around, hehehe.
A lot of people don't like the taste of water because it tastes like nothing...because, it's kinda supposed to? <x} It's liquid air. Contains oxygen. :] Good for your blood n' stuff.
So there's like, flavored or sparkling or mineral water. >w> but I don't trust any of those.
I drink about 4-5 16oz bottles a day. :/ Double that if I'm sick.
Which I hope I don't get! >~>; *quarantines own mother in her bedroom*

@Barker: ono Get motivated get motivated get motivated get motivated get motivated I like the avi ace colors get motivated get motivated get motivated get motivated get motivated! x} Is it working??
