I just see better art and think I suck...and then go wallow in misery cause my tablet is broken and i CANT attempt to do better without getting a horrid headache

-Pinches Duchess- seriously, you're overreacting. That's stuff almost nobody can ever perfectionize. Even pro's have that list.
And with the emotion thing, just do weird stuff :P Like I drew today, a little bit 'mad' looking girl.

Duchess, I think the same thing about my art, but Kami gave me really good advice, to work at 1 certain part of my art until I'm happy with it, then move to another thing. Trying to improve everything at once is just too much. C: ...and your tablet broke?! D8 THAT'S HORRIBLE. My tablet is getting there... ;o; it turns off randomly sometimes and the cord has to be just right for it to work.

But I agree with Ashy that you criticize yourself too harshly. I wish I was even as good as you are!

@ Silver, yeah I drew a bunch of pages of weird and crazy expressions. xD It was fun to see what I could come up with. Then I went to a few webcomics where the artist draws expressions too extreme and tried some of those too. owo I also love your new avi btw.

but but but. I did the art trade with this girl you see... and i liked the pose I did and shiz... and she liked it tooooooo and feat'd it on her website.

Then like a week later, I see her draw something in the SAME POSE ;A; And she made it look like it had SOOOO MUCH MORE personality than my art work. It's like rubbing in my face.. "ohohoho you did gooood. but THIS IS HOW YOU DO IT! >O BAM!"

I feel like sooo. Much. Fail atm. OTL

That's what I do too, Taiki. Next on my list are hands. I got tons of manga's and I'll trade and try to copy as many hands as I can until I 'understand' how it works. Cause I already read great tutorials about hands and the bones and muscles, but I still can't pull it off well.
Yeah it's so much fun to draw all kinds of emotions. The expression is really important to me.

You do a great job and you should feel great about it! :]
All artists have to improve and can never be perfect, but that's what it's all about. The quest for improvement and becoming as good as you can be. But you have to feel like you have good art to get there, so feel some confidence about your stuff! ;3
I know I love your art and plenty of other people do as well. ^^ <3

I think its the lack of tablet functionality thats driving me more crazy than my lack of improvement.

I'd feel happier if I could at least -try- to improve...but.. i..can't..

Whut? I'm surrounded by amazing artists ;_; Don't think I don't ever feel down about my art D: Even with my last piece I'm not so sure if I'm happy with it. Like, half half... I'm happy with it cause I drew it in 2 hours (which is damn quick) but her eye is off, lol.
I am in contact with amazing artists like Brexx, MoonlightSpectre and Prodigy Bombay @_@ (Moon is my inspiration at this moment, actually). They're sooooooooo much further ahead of me! And I saw Brexx improve from an artist around my level till a true professional. And I'm still on the same spot ._.;

just throwing out there that silvers sig is one of the awesomest art pieces ive ever seen
