It would've been even more pretty if I had more commons. The majority of my inventory is made of Event and Donation items.
you still have time to go buy more commons. ;D
This is true, but I don't have the funds! I just bought that Brave Victory from Night (totally worth it) and 2 new hair items I'd been missing from my little collection. I do love having lots of hair items. Hair is sexy, and having lots of it is even sexier.
hair is very lovely. you have lots of pretty hair.
I guess commons can get really expensive if you just buy them all willy-nilly. but if you have an idea of what items and colors you need, then it's not too hard to build up the funds for that. |
I try to buy in the same colors usually, like Red, Green, Blue, Basic, and Special. I tend to buy some of the more expensive items, too, like the Belts Corsets and the Elven Cloaks.
I think I only have, like four of the belts corsets. XD I gave up on getting most of the belts items because they were expensive and only had one shade. I like having lots of shades. :<
That's been bothering me for a while; why do they come in only one shade?
I'm really not sure. could be because there's more than one color on the item. the belts have little silvery buckles, the hats have the white feather and blue gem, et cetera. it's a lot harder to recolor items that have details in a different color. granted, Taiki is a magical amazing being and recolored all the converse shoes, but Taiki wasn't on the pixel team way back when the belts items were made.
The blue gem on the hats bothers me. Why not just have it in the color of the item? For the cross belts... do the buckles really make that much of a difference in the coloring? *is ignorant to the ways of pixeling*
I always cover up the blue gem with a hairbow. :3 they're in the perfect spot for blocking the gem and still looking awesome.
if the buckles are going to be silver, it makes a huge difference. we recolor with gradient maps, so the whole item is pixeled in grey and recolored with a program that does all the colors at once. but that only works if the item is all one shade. it's awesome when the item is all supposed to be one color. but it has to be recolored by hand if it's not all one color. If I were doing it, I would make all the buckles just a lighter or darker shade of the same color. but that's because I'm lazy and I don't want to do recolors by hand. XD |
Why not do the recolors and then add the buckles? Wouldn't it be just a simple copy/paste thing if you added the buckles afterwards?
the buckles would be done on a separate layer, so the item can still be recolored with the gradient maps, but it can't be put through the recolor program. so it takes a lot longer. I actually haven't learned exactly how to recolor by hand yet. but I kinda understand a little bit how it works from watching Fen pixel monthlies.
I like your idea about just having the buckles in a lighter version of the same color.
The blue gem on the hats still bothers me, though. I'd love to use those hats, but that one little gem just bugs the ever-loving crap out of me. |
**buries Reyo in hair bows** 8D These things are SUPAH AWESOME, yah.
I have a question, are the Peacock items considered commons?
I am thinking not, event items, but want to double check. :3 |
I THINK they'd be considered commons... since they aren't event items, and the tokens you get to buy the items are made from posting.
