Followers do not die...sort of. When they lose all health, they crouch for a while to rest up before rejoining the fight.
However... Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT ever ever hit a follower if they are low on health or resting. Your damage can kill them. So be mindful with those flamethrower hands of death. Also, watch where you shout. I have knocked her off a few cliffs with Unrelenting Force. There's one Follower who is not as fragile though. If you want it spoiled, highlight the empty spot below. Lucien Lechance is an obtainable follower. The one follower is actually a summon who stays permanently. Once he takes fatal damage (You murdering him, or certain other conditions), they can be summoned again without penalty. The Summon power only works once a day, but they will last forever until murdered. |
Oh okay. Thank you for explaining that. Next time I play I shall add her to my team~ Cx

I killed Lydia by accident. :(

Don't you guys ever save? :C
|
The game autosaves every time you zone, which is pretty often, so I tend not to save that much. And, at that point, I didn't know followers could permanently die, so I just went along with it. She wasn't all that useful, anyway, since I fight in-close and she would get in my way a lot. I imagine she works better for mages, though I did get some use out of her as an archer.
Oh, well. There are other companions. :p |
I'm glad they added companions to Skyrim ^^
|
She...has saved me a few times. As cheesy as this is going to sound, I did have a moment where I was about to die, and she literally came back from death to leap in front, take the hit, and deliver the killing blow to a frost troll. So I pretty much owe her a blood debt.

That's pretty epic, Salone.
Also, I'm just going to note, I find the hostility of some NPC's immersion-breaking. Sneaking around in the sewers beneath Riften, I come upon a "Lowlife", sneak up right behind him with an arrow nocked and trained on him, then I try to talk to him... and he starts flailing at me with his fists. If he would have just been civilized, he'd still be alive. >_> |
ROFL Suzerain xD That is hilarious
|
I wanna get this game obscenely bad. I'll get it for Christmas if not sooner, but that's so long for Skyrim. :c
|
I swear if i get this game i will love in it so hard.
|
However good you think this game is... it's better, trust me. :p
I was absolutely blown away when I first got it. Hell, I'm still blown away every time I load it up. Ironically, the opening sequence was actually the worst for me -- don't judge it on that. The game improves about 1000% as soon as you get to go off and do whatever you want. |
Oh yeah, those lowlifes are kinda...erratic.
Oh, never ever attack a chicken in town ever. If you thought murdering someone was bad, wait until you kill someone's livestock. And yeah, the opening sequence took way too long. Not to mention at no point does it give you the ability to finally confirm your starting choices. That irked me. I don't want to do all that again every time I make a new character. But honestly, my current should be juuuust fine. I like the guys who become your best friends after you challenge them to a fistfight, beat them down, and then take 100 of their gold. They make terrible decisions, and I appreciate them for it. |
I so wanted to kill that anti-Dunmet racist in Candlehearth Hall. He's a disgrace to all Nords. Had to settle for brawling with him...
Come to think of it, I might go hunt him down when I'm next in that area. |
I just got this game, I'm so lost but it's so fun hahaha I just became part of the Dark Brotherhood.
|
I should be getting Skyrim today after work- or tomorrow. ^^ I'm excited~
