lol, I think Aron from gamegrumps did that. XD
I didn't last long enough to get coins T-T
Also, where are stats? The best I can do is appraisal which really tells me nothing. |
That's stats for you. You can look up what your team leader's... What means what of what they tell you.
Winter has made me lazy. Its too cold to go out n hatch anything so I don't know if I'll ever get the baby pokemon.
as soon as you put the pokemon in the gym you go get your coins =) no waiting needed
I want to walk to the pokestops.....but I don't XD
It wouldn't let me get coins....from what I understand you have to last 21 hours. |
nope, i always put my pokemon in the gym, go to the shop and click the button at the top and get my coins right after adding it to the gym o3o
then you wait 24 hours for the next collecting if you last that long in the gym =o= |
I need to start battling. I think I have at least three good Pokemon... I had a team of 6 with over 2000 CP, but then I found out about stats... Oy vey.
I should probably look up what the things are for my team, and get more magikarp candies. .-. As it is I just use whatever I have as the strongest...
My strongest is 900 and something cp
I have a couple that's broken 1k, but apparently there is a society of secret gamers or something here. o.o; I live in the hicks but in a game called Let it Die my state is one of the strongest in the world. o.o;
My friend played a bit of let it die....but Time Warner sucks on internet....so...there's a bit of a problem with lag? Which makes no sense since he was playing single player.
Actually it does because it still need net to access account information for all the games.
So? It shouldn't be enough to lag battles in game. That's a problem. You don't need account information to punch an AI enemy in the face.
i have 4 thats over 1k ovo
Let me borrow one?
I wish they had breeding....and more egg slots. I want ALL THE EGGS! And all my eggs are 5km eggs >_< |

We weren't talking about Pokemon Go for a moment. We were talking about Let it Die.
The same would still apply to Let it Die either way. *shrugs*
I mean its not like Xenoverse where character data is saved on the system and people can hack their characters and give themselves max stats. They save character information live on a server, that's why it lags like it does. |
It was also a reasonable complaint about Pokemon Go because it has that problem. ^^; Sorry, I've been... very tired today. Brain isn't functioning anywhere close to 100%.
So how would you like it if you were playing...say Dragon Age and the game lagged in the middle of a battle? Because it is the same thing....still fighting again AI created by the game that has been downloaded onto your console....when you are playing against the computer. Now, arena battles or whatever when you are going against someone else? Perfectly fine.
But, essentially, Let it Die and games like it are saying screw you not well to do people.....and people who only have one choice on internet and it's a crappy one. We have the best tier internet, paying for 50mbps....sometimes we don't even get 1mbps. It would be different if there was actually something that needed the internet to check at the moment, but there isn't. Pokemon Go is a different story, from the get go, you know it depends on 24/7 internet...and it's geared towards phones which means not as much data needed. Let it Die? The only thing I can really find that it should need internet for is using avatars of dead characters for skins for enemies for other people...which should be a split second download as enemies appear, nothing to lag a fight. @Coda....just letting you know XD Cause Pokemon Go is upfront on the internet requirement...I hate the games that are in the section of not needing internet to play so you get it installed and everything, go to it...oh you don't have internet? No play for you! >_< -mostly unrelated- |
Obviously it's not an ideal user experience, but for F2P games cheating -- even in singleplayer -- has a direct impact on revenue.
No, because its not just pulling data on just that one enemy, but on everything. And I have had issues like that with pokemon go where its not correctly registering my gps location because I'll be parked right next to the water tower at the end of my street, but the game registers me further down the road by where I live even when using a 4g speed dataplan. And this is because I live in the hicks.
Well, apparently they'd rather lose more revenue from people leaving the game because lag kills them....when there's no reason for it to be pulling internet.
It is the same thing. What does it need the internet for? You downloaded the game, it loaded it from the game you downloaded. He only lags during battles against the computer. Apparently whoever made Let it Die does not care about money or making a good product. Because this is not too many people on a server lag or it would all lag. And Pokemon Go's GPS is never accurate...it can be kind of accurate, but I've had it send my character running down the street and back and then gave me the pop up about pokemon go and driving when I'm walking up the street. But I also had to turn off wifi and bluetooth gps stuff just to get the game to work. |
That's just GPS in general. Not all GPS locks are of equal quality. I have that problem from time to time even using Google Maps for driving; if the drift isn't too bad, Maps can compensate, but it's not that rare for it to suddenly think I'm on a different road and give me instructions to get back to where I actually really am.
As for revenue... Actually, yes, that IS the tradeoff being made, and usually it's the right choice. The people who are most likely to spend money on IAPs are the ones who will put up with the occasional lag spike, because they're already invested in the game. (And odds are they're also enough stronger than a non-IAP player that the lag spike is less likely to be fatal.) EDIT: That is, it's usually the right choice in terms of money. It's not the right choice in terms of making an actual good game, but that's usually a secondary consideration when it comes to mobile software. |
-watches character walk around in circle while i just sit here in mah chair-
"You are going too fast! are you a passenger?" .. =w= yes.. in mah chair at home i'm still a passenger... my character isn't even moving fast... |
But when you literally just started the game, are still in the tutorial, and lags so bad you die? They're making a bad choice because they're not giving players a chance to get invested to where they'll ignore lag (I watched him start the game and complain about lag and all immediately XD)
My character walks in circles too, within a three house radius....never asks if I'm a passenger though, thank god XD |
I ran out of balls, and I don't feel like going outside... Is this one of those first world problems I hear about? I mean, I could get my mother to drive around town slowly...
I have never ran out of balls.
I run out ALL the time =w=
I never see enough pokemon to run out....and I go by the pokestop enough....every few days, I go down there and wait for like 30 mins, getting the stops each time I can.
My neighbourhood is too much walking for too few stops. Probably a few kilometres for 5 stops.
There's like 4 stops within a mile, the fifth is about 3 miles away
As of today, I'm only lacking two Pokemon to fill out my Pokedex (not going to count legendaries, region-exclusives and others that Niantic has a shady policy about); Snorlax and Porygon.
Congrats Lavender! I'm not too far off either now ^_^ Just need to get hold of a Chansey, evolve my Dragonair & Togepi and hatch Smoochum & Elekid ^_^ I'm hoping at least one of my 10k eggs will hatch into something I actually need! ^_^;;
Oh, thank you. I didn't count the babies, so that means Igglybuff, Smoochum, Elekid and Magby, too. I got a Chansey randomly by walking by a Pokestop, and it didn't say it was there. I guess they were working out bugs out of Nearby back then.
That was lucky then! I've now got 4 Snorlax as they seem to like me ^_^;; If only they'd hurry up and implement trading as I'd happily send you one of my spares ^_^ One of my 10k eggs hatched into another Magby as they also seem to like me, which is kind of annoying as the nest near where I live has just become a Magmar nest...
I see a lot of Magmars, Scythers, Pinsirs... Hm, what else is rare that I see? Onixes. Where I live, Magmars are like Pidgeys.
Our nest changed to them on new years day, it was a Mankey nest before that but we've only recently found this place ^_^;; We don't get many rares around here but I've caught a few wild Porygon, Electabuzz and Lapras from our house. We don't get much else that's decent around here though or those few all that often (I don't count Mr Mime as they are everywhere) ^_^;; We live in the middle of around 10 spawn points but it's nearly always Spearow, Pidgey, Rattata and Weedle that we get from them when events aren't happening...
Those are still some of the rarest Pokemon. So jealous of your Porygons and Snorlaxes. I get a lot of Jinxes, too. Mr. Mime horrifies me... It's fat, but has thin limbs, and it's also a mime... I've been trying to find out if I have any nests near me.
