Shit I'm torn. I really wanna watch the Taiwan version of Hana Kimi (and then the Japanese again at some point cause I am in love with Oguri Shun thank you very much) but I also started another show that I'm in the middle of that I wanna watch too ;-;

@Fey:
Mm, I decided to come on out and check out this Masquerade that I heard about. OOC: @Fish: Sure! Let me see. O: |

:: sigh::
okay, how one works themself out of a job. I used to work so hard I did about three peoples worth of work in a shift. the crew I worked with would keep pace with me, but not overtake me, after all I was doing a shit ton more. they later changed what I was allowed to do on a shift, so the crew would have to miraculously do all the work I had been doing. this obviously wasn't going to happen. so they saw that we were falling behind, not because my 'allowed' duties had changed but because I wasn't doing a 'good' job. So, in the end I got written up and fired because we weren't doing as well as we had been in the past. Ironically, the new duties I was suppsoed to do were my immediate manager's job. So, I was doing his job, no one was doing 'my' job and so I got fired for 'my' job not getting done while I was doing his. |
... what the fuck? ugh x.x' That's completely ridiculous... And makes no sense. I don't get how managers can be like that sometimes, and how companies work. It makes no sense to me...
And Dude, I was so happy with our assistant manager today. I actually was given shit to do. Unfortunately, being positioned in the copy center, -_- If someone needed help I had to drop what I was doing and run up there, even when another girl was up there and perfectly capable of doing those ridiculously simple jobs. Anyway... are there any places that A) you would suggest absolutely NOT working and B) Places that you hear are good/okay? I know it depends on the manager, but company policy also plays a lot with it... |
Pfffft. Let's just say I was...bored in class >.> Yeah, I messed up on the skirting thing.
|
Awe, thank you Espy! ~tackle hugs~ It looks really great <3 Although his toes actually aren't clawed >_> But I still luff iiit <3
I rarely get free art, nonetheless randomly O.O Such a surpriiise |
oooooooo, pretty espy
Uhm, lesse...since you're already doing the job, NOT Best Buy, they're just a generation removed from what you're already doing. PetSmart is the place I got canned from, I like th company, but I hate the management style(at least at the last store). Really, most retail jobs are going to be similar, so talk to the employees at places you think you might like to work. Tell them you're just wanting to get a feel for things and usually if you're nice enough they'll be as honest as they can be. |

Ah, thank you <3 That sounds like a good idea ^_^
And haha, my mom actually worked at Petsmart in the pet hotel... and I have a friend working there now. She kinda had the same issue with management. They had a ton of managers while she was there ._.' |

yeeeeeeah, they've usually got more managers than employees. I should have been smart and stayed at the one I worked at previously and took the petshotel position...but I thought i was being smart.....
|
XD No, she just went through a lot of managers. Either they got moved to another store or quit or something. She had like four in her two years working there.
|
On a side note: I'm pretty sure this is the biggest thread I've ever had ._.'
|
\o/
yay, big thread! ugh, so tired all of a sudden ::curls up on a pretty clamshell:: well, I think I'm off, y brain suddenly shut off methinks. have a good night :) |
Well damn, now I'm alone x.x' ~dies~
|
is not alone, just is not with peoples...it's complicated....ooooooo, sleep posting.......
|
o.o You're weird.
Woot, 60 pearls about. >=O 300 to go |
Good afternoon everyone.
Or anyone thats on |
Good afternoon. How are you?
Personally I am glad I don't hvae to work today. 100ºF+? Not for me, thank you. |
>3< I unfortunately do have to work, but I'm dreading it more because of my boss than anything... =P
|
At least you have a job, I'm trying to find one, even Wally world doesn't want me
|
\O/
I survived work! well, really, today was the easy day, I didn't have to deal with anyone but the trainee...tomorrow...tomorrow I might go off on the boss-man. Ugh, day three of 13, why oh whyyyyyyyy do I do these things to myself? |
Aww.
Only a few posts today. D: |
I know one must do what one must, but I would not want to work at Wal-Mart, especially after that big suit and that court decision... asdfsakdjfasl.
|
Hello there.
:] |
I have a seasonal job at a cookie factory now.
It has been going well. :) |
waits, wally world got sued? you'd think my friends who work there would have informed me...so we could chorttle
|
They get sued for anything from discrimination to stealing money from their workers. And the Supreme court was for Wal-mart
http://www.slate.com/id/2297364/ |
well duh, if they ruled against 'em they might raise their prices! and then where woudl you buy your crap for cheap?
|
The same places I buy my crap for cheap now. But I don't like that anyway. Ugh. Sexist companies < dirt.
|
I tend to not buy from them just cause they never have what I want/need. Or I just buy stuff I need as disposables. LIght bulbs, glue...uhm...yeah, that's all I've bought from 'em in a while.
|
I haven't even set foot inside one in probably five years... that isn't to say that I haven't bought things from similar stores, but just not Wal-Mart in particular.
|
there's one down across from my joanns, and well, sometimes I'm just too lazy to go down the block to the target
|
Across the freeway from me is a Target and in another complex on the same hill is a Meijer. The nearest Wal-Mart would take driving, but I can walk up onto the hill XD.
|
Meijer? I've not heard of this, but I'll assume it's in the same family of stores. Ironically, the target is both uphill and downhill, so I'm just really lazy. wasn't so bad when I worke din the same complex, now it's just like 'meh I'll wait'
|
Haha, I see. Well Meijer is a similar type of store, but it is based in Michigan and I don't think there are many outside of Michigan. The positive result of this is that it is not quite so massive a company, and that a portion of its produce is in fact local... I cannot however speak for the job quality but I can't imagine it is worse than Wal-Mart.
|
I can't imagine much is worse than walmart...but as I'v enot personally worked with them, just heard stories, I'll reserve judgement. Oh, wait, I take that back, a friend had a job that was worse...and more sexist...
|
Well the sexism was a class action case, based on amny individual stories...
But what job was that? |
she worked at local anime store...her boss was a prev
