No. xD Nothing like that. My mom and I bought a new froggie for her tank, and it turns out the type we bought isn't natural at ALL. We thought he was supposed to be that green. But as it turns out, he was injected with dye to LOOK like that.

I KNOW. Basically, he's an albino african claw footed frog... labeled as a "Candy Frog". Which we didn't find out until ohh, I got home and grabbed online to see how to take care of him.

... NOTHING turned up. Which was strange as hell. My search led me to a forum, where someone was asking the exact same question. Some people have pink, orange, and purple frogs. I was like.. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? My mom doesn't want to return him though, because she feels horrible about what he had to go through. I'm thinking of contacting PETA and having them take care of it. Because from what I understand, petstores having been getting shipments of these poor guys for ages.

I got her a bunch of aquatic ones for Christmas, and they kinda went into shock and all but one died, because of this nasty cold front we got awhile back. =[

yeah we have a couple of green tree frogs at our place and theyre pretty awesome, live for like 20 years and are pretty good at adaptive tempertures which is good for here ><
