This method picks at my role play sensibilities. Could always retro post something to show how they got there I suppose.

Shall we go with the "here already" option?

I honestly think just having them there all along would be by far the easiest mode of insertion. Short of some weird metaphysical reality-warping, no one got in here ahead of us -- the place was locked from the outside by the abbess and her flock fleeing as the infernal topos took hold over the local materium.

And it just strikes me as too coincidental that all these parties would converge on this remote site at the same time.

And furthermore, no one here is writing their magnum opus if there's a plothole in the beginning so we can get the story moving forward, so be it. I'm not really interested in what's gone before.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 02:57 AM

Umm...sorry for spending so much time doing that, then...

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:08 AM

Nah bro, chillax. Newbiebewbies get a grace period to get into the swing of things. It's probably good for you to get into the feel of your character and how they're sitting in a universe not of your own creation, but Mandude over there isn't a newbiebewbie and should stop picking at things and focus on the game.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 03:09 AM

Can't help it. I'm a nit-picker by nature. I'm okay with going with what we have so far, as in we were all in the party to start. Just coming up with something to post right now.

Suzerain of Sheol 11-08-2013 03:11 AM

Pick those nits!

And I'm sorry if that came across as harsh, Lawtan, I didn't mean it to. Everyone should probably take what I say with a hefty portion of salt for the next forever while I devolve with grief. Not that that's an excuse. Will try not to do so again.

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:13 AM

That's Suze for he's not good at saying things nicelike right now, so pretend he did.

Lawtan 11-08-2013 03:27 AM

As a question: will the battle still be ongoing come 4 pm tomorrow? I know what to write, but tests and all until 12 tomorrow... (Sleep is so for non-demigods XD)

Gallagher 11-08-2013 03:28 AM

God yeah it will, we haven't picked up speed yet, so you'll be safe till then. Suze went to bed himself.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 03:30 AM

Hard to say with roleplays. It depends on how often people post and what they post. We also have yet to hear from Salone, and it's not likely we'll go speeding ahead and leave people behind for the sake of a few hours.

Quiet Man Cometh 11-08-2013 08:25 AM

Well there's something. I'm not sure I'm happy with it but I've been pissed off at everything I've written tonight.

I feel like I should send Dante toppling face-first into the ground again because Tarja's question is /reasonable/. At least more so than blindly hurling towards a thing that happened just as sword-wielding undead rose out of their graves.

I was actually crossing the Twelve Hours of Night through Hermetic meditation, wandering the Waters of Osiris and locked in internecine battle with dread Apophis.

*scribbles "sleepist" down on the list* :D

And oh no, Lawtan, I don't usually move us ahead until everyone's had their turn, and even then, I give a day or two warning in case anyone wants to add anything last minute.

*still totally waiting for Dante to take shelter in the chapel.* The mouse is really quite friendly. His name is Orville.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:13 PM

I assuming wandering into is basically the same as sticking your head under a guillotine with a worn-out rope.

Espy 11-08-2013 01:40 PM

Oh, by the way, my college has a tradition of fence-painting (look up Carnegie Mellon's fence), and this happened today/last night. I mean, we USUALLY don't have such...extreme...things.
