...Looking at that yarn gives me flashbacks to when I was a new knitter and bought "eyelash" and another novelty-type yarn. I quickly learned I couldn't really work with it (Mostly visual knitter here. I can't just zone out and mindlessly knit while watching TV or CritRole, unfortunately), and I banished it to the darkest corners of my stash.

make a pom-pom scarf with that yarn?
i have some yarn i still have to make into socks.... i'm finishing up my final crochet hollyday gift, then back to stuffs for me. :) |
I have to put off craft spending for a bit so I can get proper snow tires. Being a responsible adult sucks.
|
yeah, adulting isn't fun sometimes
|
Sliding off the road into the river or off a cliff isn't fun either though, so alas.
I shall scope out the yarn section of the walmart tomorrow. We have to go to town to get the tires. |
there ya go.... buying tires and a recon mission :)
|
On the plus side, this is a once in 3-5 year purchase.
Does cooking count as a craft? i have to make taco pie tomorrow. |
that's true.
sure, cooking can be a craft - that sounds yummy! |
I want to make a cream cheese pumpking roll too, but I have never made a swiss roll before and I am scared of screwing it up.
|
i'm sure you'll be fine. :)
|
Well if the highest level string witch says I'll be fine, I have no choice but to believe it.
|
that's string witchery... not all that much with the baking.
but - sometimes the dish comes out looking different/messier than intended, and it still tastes awesome, so there is that. :) |
So long as it is cooked all the way through, it will taste good. I hope.
So if you could have any yarn in the world to work with, price irrelevant, what would you choose? |
ooooh, i think a nice soft madeline tosh.... you?
|
I really wanna try working with the wool from icelandic sheep. Preferably I would like the roving so I could spin it instead of the finished yarn.
|
ooh that sounds cool too
