Overall this gen has been awful with evolutions... I've seen so much better fan art for the Starter's evolutions, or the other Pokemon's evolutions (the slug dragon for example).
I don't understand how Gamefreak would let some of these designs pass.. I feel as though with a couple of design tweaks and some recolor changes that a lot of these Pokemon would look much better. I feel that Gamefreak must had been extremely rushed or something... I'm sure they have thousands of other Pokemon designs made, and only so few of them get passed. But I still have to question their whole process...

This generation began at a great start, the designs were a fresh reminder of the good ol' gen 1 days, and the Pokemon were truly a hit or miss. But now that we are seeing everything, it seems that the first conception of the designs were an illusion.

But as I said, this game feels like a stepping stone towards something bigger. (And no I don't mean a MMO Ashy D<) The best way I can put it is that Gamefreak is closing a arc, and this game is the prelude to a bigger game or for what's to come. I know for sure it won't be a MMO, the day we see a Pokemon MMORPG, is the day that Pokemon officially stops making new generations and ends. (If that day would ever come.)

They could still make an mmo, but there would be new expansions or update or whatever with every single generation! And it would be awesome...hopefully.

I'm only judging the information that we've been getting so far, and I've been solely judging the design aspect. I still haven't seen much of the gameplay world, but I'm not criticizing the new art style or the new 3D world. I'm pointing out that a lot of the new Pokemon's designs were very favorable but took a different turn where they look (in my opinion) steadily worse, and that some of the Pokemon designs could use a few tweaks.

It's not like I'm calling this game a terrible and worst generation ever... That's 4th gen...

I liked gen 4 .-. Though I have no idea what that thing in the spoilers is .-.

I like gen4. I....disliked the gen5 games.

I've never beat gen 5. I'm still completely stuck after the first...or second gym on one of them...with multiple legendaries that like to sleep during battle lol

Lol, Gamefreak never took time zone differences into account. I don't mind waiting, I still have Wind Waker HD to play. I'm only half way through, and I'm sure that once Pokemon X and Y comes out that all my time will be focused on that.

The store I work at got their copies in yesterday and I can see them but I cannot have them. D8
