Next's heart broke as he looked up at his best friend - obviously in pain.

"Naveen... Naveen is dead, Mello..." He whispered, softly.

"Huh?" Mello blinked and held his head. "He dead? Naveen...right...what the fuck."

He shook his head and groaned.

"It's all...fucked up." Mello whimpered- holding his head.

Next's mind blurred and for a moment he couldn't focus on anything... all he could hear was a voice in his head repeating the same thing over and over...

I want him back, I want him back...

A sharp pain suddenly shot down his spine and he cried out, stumbling away from Mello. It began to burn and he was just barely aware of a bright light shining on him.

I want him back...

Mello dropped to the floor of the van- holding his head still- the world spinning around him.

Next cried out and his back arched... pain tore through him once more and Mello could have sworn he saw something bright white shoot out from behind the boy before he was blinded.

Mello covered his face and turned away with an alarmed cry.

The light died down and Next dropped to the ground in front of Mello... and on top of another person.

Mello's head swam another moment before he slipped into unconsciousness. It had to be unconsciousness anyway, because the person beneath Next was the spitting image of his first and very much dead lover.

--Scene Change--

Linda jumped in surprise as the door came open, but calmed when she realized it was Matt. "Hey there... did you get some res-"

"Can we see Zero-!?" Trick cried, very much awake now and wanting to hear of his family member.

"K says as long as you two don't do anything drastic." Matt nodded as he finished putting his smokes away.

"What room is he in!?" Trick cried as he and Treat bolted from the room, staying long enough to get the number before they took off down the hall.

Linda watched them go, not bothering to go after them - they were old enough to go down the hallway to visit their 'father' themselves.

"Did you see Mello?" She asked, petting Near's hair softly. "He went looking for y-"

Near let out a cry and shot up in his bed, gripping his heart. The machines shot to life as his heart rate suddenly shot up.

The machines were going crazy and in no time nurses and other attendants were running into the room to find out what was happening.

--Scene Break--

Trick and Treat pushed open the door and came dashing into the room- looking around before spotting Zero on the bed and hurrying over to him.

Zero looked at them in a little bit of alarm, but calmed down after a moment and peered at the twins curiously.

It was like he knew them... they seemed so familiar, but he couldn't place why.

"You're awake!" Treat ran over and climbed onto the bed. "You're awake now! Are you okay!?"

He seemed to be ignoring the fact that Zero was still all hooked up to IV's and machines.

Zero made a small pained noise and motioned to his throat.

"Zero...?" Trick whispered as he came over, whimpering.

The young man looked at both of the twins sadly.

"So its true..." Trick whined, his eyes filling with tears. "You did lose your voice-!"

"You'll be okay!" Treat said immediately- placing his hand on Zero's rising and falling chest. "They have doctors, they'll fix you!"
