Wow, Lucid is quite like me, I could have typed the above. Except I dislike grocery shopping so much that my husband does that chore. Instead I clean the kitchen, usually. But I do not like doing chores. I am a do what I want to do kinda girl. And that means being mostly lazy. Except when I get my momentary passions (BJDs, photography, etc). I put out a lot of energy for those things. But it is intermittent.

Ari are you not lazy at all? XD

Sorry Ari. :P Wake up at 7, go to work at 8, get home at 2:45, and EAT. And then probably do laundry. Clean undies is more important than getting more food at the moment. Seriously, we have plenty of long-lasting foods like potatoes, rice, and noodles. We also have a bag and a half of frozen veggies and a bag of hash browns. We're not starving, I promise. We're just out of perishables like milk. And you really don't NEED milk to make a meal.

I don't hate grocery shopping, but sometimes it's a pain because it just takes so dang long! My husband really hates it though so I do the shopping. In fact I do most of the house chores, but he's really good about doing dishes. Aside from the general "whoever cooks the food doesn't have to do the dishes" courtesy, we don't have a dishwasher and scrubbing dishes for too long can irritate my skin.

I have to wear gloves to do the dishes, though we do have a dishwasher. But I wash stuff by hand like the cat dishes. I have "dyshidrosis", is that what you have? My fingers and fingertips get irritated and get small blisters too. I have to lightly use a steroid cream on them. So I avoid getting my hands wet and wear gloves a lot.

My goals for today are an hour of Hindi study which I think I will do now. One hour of sewing. 1/2 hour of exercise. And then maybe tidy up on the 2nd floor which has the bedrooms. But not sure I will get to that.

I have eczema, and my wrists are one of my trouble spots. They get all red and rashy. I never really liked gloves because they tend to get moist on the inside which is even worse than no gloves at all.

Even if I did have a dishwasher, I still insist on cleaning all pots/pans/large dishes by hand, especially if I use them a lot. Can't have a pan sitting in the dishwasher if I need to use it again! Only the plates/bowls/utensils end up in the dishwasher if I have anything to say about it.

Oh, I can be lazy, trust me. Though, I do feel like it's not so much as being lazy as my being very distracted. And I can get REALLY distracted; my easily distracted-ness is oft more heightened thanks to my learning disabilities. :| But I love my learning disabilities, well one of them anyways, so I won't be mean to them. XD

Even if my husband wanted to go grocery shopping, I would still have to go with him because I don't think I can trust him to only buy what's on the list, and not tons of snacks. xD

Grocery shopping is more fun when he does come along. Usually that's only when we need to fill the car up with gas though. He drives me to the store, uses the gas station across the street, then parks and helps me finish up the shopping. :3

Well then, I hope you guys need to fill up gas more often whenever ya go grocery shopping. >:3

Ginger that is a good idea, I should be more systematic when I go through my items. I forget what I have.

I should try that method that you are using Lucid. I bet he would go for that, fill up the car while I get started on shopping. The next time I have to go I am going to suggest that. Efficient.

Well it's a very dull Saturday that I have to liven up with laundry, sewing, Hindi, exercise, comic book sorting and make the bed up with fresh sheets. How many will I get done? It's almost 1. Time for lunch too.

What are you guys up to? Making any new avatars with a special item maybe? How is the event going? I should pop my nose in there.

Ari, we rarely have to fill up the car just because we don't drive outside of the city very often. A tank of gas should last us a good 2 months or more, while we have to go shopping probably every 2 weeks.
I bought a package of chocolate almond pocky at the store yesterday, though! It was very yummy. I like getting a treat every time I go shopping.

Lucid I find it hard not to get goodies when I go to the store. My husband went out shopping today. I am doing the laundry now and picking up chores and will do the bed later. I tried sewing but it's just not working for me right now. I will do that tomorrow. Hindi is next.

I usually have really good willpower for not buying stuff I don't need. But then I get sad that I never ever have treats. So lately, I have been letting myself get only one treat every time I go to the store. It's been working out really well so far.

I can totally understand wanting treats. I don't even need an excuse to want a treat. But unfortunately I have to watch my weight. I am really lax about exercising, I just hate it, so essentially I have to defer treats (which is easier said than done).

I hope everyone is doing well today. I have a huge list of "to do" things which will not get done. Today I have a 3 hour sewing lesson so that should be very fun. The laundry is done, the bed got made up, the living room is clean. Got to do the kitchen/dining room before my lesson since we work in there. Otherwise, that is about it.

I hate working out so much. :I I just make sure I eat healthy so I don't have to worry about it as much, but I still feel super out of shape whenever I have to do something remotely physical. My husband and I like taking walks, but it's been too cold until pretty recently. Now that the weather's warming up a bit we're going out a little more often.

Exercise is my bane, I have to admit. I live a very sedentary life and all my good intentions to walk or even ride the stationary bike are for naught. Sometimes I go through a little tizzy of exercise but then it slowly fades away. So anyhow, that is going to change as I am tired of being lazy. I was very busy today at least, I had my sewing lesson and we sewed for 3 hours so my tunic will be done next Sunday, he thinks. And I was busy around the house. But tomorrow I plan on riding the bike, that's a promise to myself. ;)

I don't usually say that to people avatar lol but it is so good that I have to say something. My avatar is alright, I'm just making it just to have something. :3

I love the Japanese theme that you have going there. You must have been here on Tris from the very beginning? The only thing that I miss from the beginning is the Anka the Phoenix item set. I know I can never get it, that is fine, but it would be nice to have. Otherwise, I have a couple of those older items. But not much in that way. Right now I am collecting more commons. I have found that they are very pretty and there is a great variety of them.

I'm sure you can get it :) Yes, I joined since the beta testing stage and I had a few Anka sets but I end up selling them to a friend because she really want a lot of them.

Oh look at your avi now I love the colors! I want to take inspiration from that and do something in those colors, we'll see if I get around to doing that. Again, I really like the fish accent. And I have never seen anyone use the Pollen Prince hat, nice!

:D Thanks! I love these colours, though I wish the green of the Fenrir skirt would better match the redone green shades, but meh. Close enough. :)

Singular to me, Panda, means that you have created something I have never seen before. All of the avatars here are different and striking, but I have never seen anyone use those wings and smoke like you have done. And the moon and the gold, it's just nicely done.

Ari that green...I would never have noticed that it was different if you had not said anything, it is rather subtle. It's just the shading, right?

Ahhh thanks :3 I like my avatar cute and simple. A lot of people tend to use a lot of accessories and a lot of layers, I like to keep mine nice and simple and I hardly use little accessories.

Yeah, the highlights are more accentuated. :) I notice these tiny things now that I help with recolouring and previewing. o3o

Panda I cannot imagine your avi with a bunch of accessories. What makes it are the blocks of color, so yeah, it's really perfect without any extra stuff on it.

Ari I confess that unless told I would never even have noticed. But you all are doing a great job, I like the newer green, looks great.

I think it's the old pixeling style rather than the new gradients that makes it look that way. Did we even redo the green gradients? I just know that Fen's pixeling has improved a lot since the site opened and we have more/better artists than we used to.

Wow Lucid look at your avi, how inspiring! I love the purple, I guess that is violet? Very nice with the shadow hanging over it and the hood etc.

Thanks Uma, yeah it's violet and dust. :3 I really wanted to make an avi with violet and purple dust so here it is. I never really thought I would ever use this hood because I don't like hiding my avatar's eyes, but I think it adds a lot to this avi. There's a first time for everything!

Ari, I believe we only redid about half of the gradients. I'm pretty sure some of the more basic ones like brown, green, basic, red, etcetera were kept the same. When you pixel an item, though, you can tell a huge difference in how your shading affects the look of the gradient on an item.

I like how some people always have color-block avis, some have bits of colors everywhere, and some go by a theme more than a color scheme.

As for me...I always try to put in some personality into my avi's, so the colors might get a bit messed up in the process.

Espy, I always think your avatars could be some kind of character. I have a hard time telling when you're cosplaying and when you're not because I don't recognize most cosplay characters, and I can't tell with your regular avatars because they do feel like they have a backstory. It's cool.

I like your avi Espy, it's strong in the force. ^_^ I mean that you are wearing solid items and each has a function, like the beautiful jacket and the really cool buckled top...overall the impression is one of attractive and clean lines with an energetic effect.

Lucid I love the dust color and for some reason I initially focused on the violet I am not sure why, I guess I was looking at the dark items. I really want to make a dust avatar. Hmmmm.... *ponders*

I hope everyone is doing well. It is a gloomy rainy day here in Northern Maryland, chilly and with a cutting wind too that just bit through my jeans and my coat when I was out earlier. I had my nails done in shellac which is great because it lasts for 2 weeks. I got a very dynamic Hollywood red color. Otherwise, I am in for the day, I have sewing to do and Hindi to study. What are your plans?
