Amakai I hear you, Japanese is a complex language, I looked at learning it once, idly. I didn't go to college right out of HS, I waited and worked for a while. Are you working? As for Hindi language which I am studying I do that on my own with a tutor I hired. Sometimes we just watch films and she tells me about the culture and why they do what they do (which was somewhat incomprehensible to me).
Kilala, very nice to meet you! I am Uma. I like your color choice, I actually like black avatars with pops of color too, but I am not good at making them. About the avi contest I understand. What can you do if you don't have the items and there is no dream avatar creator. It's hard to enter a contest. Still I like what you have done with the resources at hand. You made a pretty avatar with not much. The only places I am are Gaia and Zantarni. How did you hear about Tris? |
No not working...can't really find a job OTL and add that to my depression issues makes it hard to be motivated a lot of the time but yea the language is killer. My sister was taking it but she's stopping after this year

Also if you are questing anything there let me know. Well it is really good to see new faces here despite that you don't have much. But if you hang out here you will find people are very generous. Also the commons here are really nice. I have made all or near all common avatars and been pretty satisfied. |
@Uma - I'm not sure. I don't really know any of the items or what they're called so I'm just gonna save up gold or whatever it's called here and slowly buy commons as I go xD since I really don't have anything except token items, crane game items, some special items that must have been given to me cuz I had an account and some of the "free" stuff to make a basic avi xD

@Uma: I have a tendency to like the punk-ish, lollita, gothic-y type avatars. My gaian avatar is typically decked out in Nitemare items. It's rare that you see me outside of the Nitemare Bustier. It's the one item I always use (with the exception of right now... >.>). But on here, I still haven't learned the items by name so I'm not sure what all items I'm lookin' for. I liked the fish item that was in Archaic Antiquities, but by the time I saved up the 2,500 au to get it, they removed it from the shop. And I like the Cholmus Item. I've seen some bustiers and corsets that I've liked as well as some wings and hair items. I absolutely LOVE being able to create my own unique hairstyle.

Amakai I think that is a good idea, to go for some commons, they are really pretty. Actually I am happy to contribute a little so you can get more. Once you have some nice commons you can decide which monthlies you want to quest for. Some of them are rather inexpensive and look awesome. Also the RIG items are not too costly.
Same with you Kilala, I will help get you going a little. I only joined in May and left for 6 months, I think I said that above, so I don't have a ton of things but I do have some you might like. I have a nightmare bustier at Gaia but I never wear it. That is because I simply and totally adore the Les Freaks corset. It's not on my avi right now but usually it is. I love the way it cinches in the waist unlike any other corset I have found. I like the corsets they have here there is a huge variety and all so cute and flattering. Otherwise, how are you guys doing, and anyone else who passes by? It is snowing here in Maryland we must have 5" already and it's still going. Really pretty out. We have not had a good snow all winter. |

Hi! I'm doing ok, I worked all day and then we had some dinner and have been blathering on. You are very welcome for the stuff, looks great! I liked that skirt just I never wore it. Wow dentist, well, I have dentist issues. I used to not go. Now I go since I really have to and have no choice but I don't like them. I don't blame you for being nervous. I have to go to a new dentist because I am not that fond of my current one and I am nervous about it too. Not sure when I am going to go. Well it won't be as bad as you think it will, it's never that bad. Even the drilling will be over quickly if they need to do it. Can you watch TV (dentist's face always gets in the way though) or have headphones for music there? Do they have nitrous? I am grateful for nitrous, wow!

Thank you! I have to say I've been scouring the shops to find the one missing piece to the outfit I'm wearing right now, I feel like I need something to maybe cover my shoulders. But I really like how it's turned out. I'm gonna give it a couple of days and then I'm gonna use some of the other items to do another outfit. *nod* You made me one happy camper. :D
Oh how I wish I could have nitrous... I'm pregnant right now, so I can only have local anesthetics, and I don't know if I'll be able to keep my insurance after I have my daughter to get the dental work done... But, I definitely need this one tooth gone as soon as possible. It broke when I was pregnant with my son back in 2010, and it's been abscessed a few times this pregnancy... Otherwise, I'd totally put it off until after the baby gets here. And I'm like you, I didn't used to go to the dentist. I wound up on medicaid when I was in high school and had to have 3 root canals one of which took 3 rounds of anesthetics to deaden, so that's my biggest worry, that they won't be able to get me numb before they start working. 'Cause man, that ish hurts soooo much. >_<' Although, thanks for reminding me about my mp3 player. ^_^ I've gotta find it and charge it, but I'll definitely take it with me. *nod* |

Wow I am so glad, see I had this feeling about those items that they would be useful for you. However, if you find there is something you don't use then feel free to sell it or to pass it on to someone else, I wont be offended. Also, yeah I know this place is kind of slow isn't it, but on some level I think that is ok by me. I know what Gaia is like and I feel like a stranger there even though I go every day. But here I feel like over time people have come to know me and I am generally familiar with someone on the who's online. I can come here and peacefully mess with my avatar, post a bit, take off, come back later. I like it. But it's not for everyone.

That is a good idea about a mule for those items. I never made a mule for this place, just never saw the need for one. But I guess I could maybe get more Crane items but is that allowed...no idea. I looked at the Crane game earlier but did not play as the prizes were not great. It's nice the way they change them out every hour. I will try to come by your thread but I am notorious for forgetting where I have been. In which case I beg you to prod me and get me to go back there. *grins*

Yes, you're allowed to have a mule to play the crane game a few extra times. I have mules but I don't use them a whole lot. Sometimes it's nice to have an account where nobody recognizes me or something, but I haven't really found it necessary. I keep some old event items on it though, and I use it for the few trades I need to do right now because my inventory is too large and breaks the system. If I had seen it coming, I would have put even more items into my mules. >.>

I made mine for the button items too. :3 They're so cute! I've also wanted to use Bubblegum Sei Jacket for a really long time but never had the inspiration to make anything good. The button items were what I was missing!
