The restaurant chef cooks the stir-fry at the table with part of the table being the stove-top.

I'm definitely an experienced thread killer. It tends to be my own threads that I kill by trying to keep them up. Or a thread in which I have invested a lot of energy or interest. Alas. Such is life.
