A lot of the personalities clash, to be honest. But we might still work together towards what we thought was a common goal, even if the actual goals were different.
Edit: Oooo, I think Fee's going to find a way to be useful finally. |
...There's a common goal?
|
Funkie should check this thread. INSTEAD OF WAGING WAR AGAINST ME IN THE BvsG THREAD.
|
@Salone, Feenai is a very idealistic woman, who's current life goal was met the moment she left her parents and stopped feeling their fear every day. So she's easy to please and is a follower. Everyone else, however, has some overarching goal that they might be able to reach more easily by working together, even if the final goals aren't the same.
|
Fair enough. One of my 'characters' is only using the rest for a means for his food, and eventually the corpse of God himself so he can consume it in a bid for power. Which would be rather hard on his lonesome. The other is just trying to survive.
Suz, my knowledge of demons is about as expansive as my knowledge of hockey. How many liberties are we able to take with how demons come to be/what happens to them when they die/what types there are/Do the seven deadly sins actually matter/things like that? |
@Salone, like I said, I'm no expert on demons. Run what you want by me and I'll let you know.
And... Shealtiel is pretty "meh" as far as goals go. :p |
Like I said before, Rue's ultimate goal - whether it's possible or not - is to take over Hell, so she might be at odds with Lev later on.
|
Well, this is what I've came up with so far...
The demon that possesses Lev was a lower demon, perhaps one of gluttony if anything. It came in to being over the hundreds of years that Tsavo has suffered. Tsavo literally means 'A place of slaughter', and has been an area heavy with slave trade, genocide, and flat out murder. Death was so common there that bodies were just cast aside and left to rot, hence lions acquiring a taste for human flesh. With as much hate and violence seeping in to the soil, it seems like it would be quite easy for all that to manifest in to an actual being. His first victims were the slavers themselves. Then he took the form of lions. After being put down by a Mr. Patterson in the early 1900's, he has resurfaced after taking Lev's dying body for himself. Of course, his own power has been enough to keep Lev alive. Being a bit of a lesser demon, he desires his own personal gain. However, since he isn't exactly of Hell itself, he's still driven by the things that created him: hunger and death. That's the rough draft of it anyway. I'll probably spend hours with it in notepad and try to make it sound a bit better. Or more believable. |
It sounds good to me. Believable, given what we've seen so far.
What are your thoughts on exorcism? I'm thinking that, given the way the world's overlap, and exorcism would only drive the demon into the physical world, in its own flesh, which would likely be extremely dangerous. Or maybe it's so melded with Lev's soul that Lev's body is its body now. |
I personally like the second option. It's been with Lev for a few years now. Due to it's nature, he rarely ever remembers it. It's screams and needs are whisperings that he can't quite here, or feelings that he can't explain. Almost like an alternate personality at this point. I'd like to say that he has unfortunately melded in to Lev's very soul. Cause I sure as hell would hate to lose him this early.
|
I wonder what would happen if another demon tried to possess Lev? That might be interesting.
*totally does not chuckle malignly behind his DM screen* |
Torture Lev as much as you please. After his last twelve murders, he probably deserves it. Karma is one fanged boomerang. And honestly, I just enjoy seeing the character in pain.
|
Well, there aren't any demons around here, but if we head south.... *rubs hands together* *resists urge to cackle*
Edit: That was post 6,666 in this subforum. Epic. |
1.) That is freaking epic.
2.) (Dante: ....I hate you, woman.) |
I have a feeling Feenai is going to get some abuse on her too >.>;
|
-whistles innocently-
Dante: ...Damn you, woman! I don't exist for the sole purpose of being beat up mentally! Sure you don't, Dante. |
Espy...do you really have to be so mean to Dante? >.> Then again look at what Salone is doing to Lev XD
|
I'm mean to most of my OCs, really. (But, come on, I give him his due for...stuff.)
|
I had no idea half our cast was from Babylon. We should probably go there at some point. :p
I think I'll move our group into the armory, now. Edit: Nope, let's come up with a plan first. :p Edit 2: Good work on continuing that scene Espy, way better than I could have handled it. |
I put Babylon in there for certain...reasons. (Ahem, Dolly.) I might have to change the "Meggido" I put in previous posts...Didn't realize that it's probably the worst place for Dante to be.
|
Hmm... yeah, Megiddo is not a place very conducive to human life. :p
|
Question: What's the guard situation like outside the armory? Any external defenses?
|
Nope, apparently not. :p
I assume they're all inside getting geared up and/or glowering menacingly at Dante whilst fingering triggers. :D |
Whee then! Time to destroy! If only I wasn't already roped in to seeing a movie...ah well. Lev might do a few things, but he's been hogging all the action. So like I said, probably backseat time for him.
|
I'm wondering if we should wait for Sage to post, as we haven't got Jeanne's reaction to what's gone on. I can't imagine she's happy about it. I'm thinking there's almost no way we're ever going to be a cohesive party at this point. Talk about clashing personalities. :p
Maybe some of us will end up at odds with each other. We'll see how it plays out. |
Rue actually isn't as much of a bitch as she lets on, she's just extremely guarded because of who she was raised by. I plan for her character to develop into someone more trusting and caring. Even her motives now have good intentions behind them.
And yeah, Sage has been MIA for quite some time... Is Jeanne still following along with Fee and the rest of them, or what? |
I think she's still with us, but... after what just happened, I wouldn't be surprised if she ran off to the Saint, honestly. I'm not even sure which one of us between Shealtiel and Levl would be more disgusting to Jeanne.
Oh, and in case it isn't obvious, there's a real possibility of Shealtiel becoming consumed by his own magicks. What happens then, who knows. |
Quote:
@sheol You'd probably turn into one of the creatures mentioned on the list of monsters if you got consumed. |
Hmm... yeah, maybe something like an Emim, but without the psychic effects.
|
I've been getting really good at that going MIA thing recently. xP I'll post ASAP.
|
Whoo-hoo! Looks like we all need to combine our willpower to get Sage back. =P
|
*anticipates a confrontation.*
This should be fun. :D |
Apparently I just got 49.99 aurum for that post. xD I am amused.
|
Quick, go edit it and get the Megapost achievement. :D (If you don't have it already)
|
Suuuuuuuuuze! Look what I got!
http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/t...x/snapshot.png Yeah, a whole post for the sake of bragging rights. Ok, now to actually catch up. |
Awww Jeanne still wants to protect Feenai ♥ Though I'm not sure if Fee should have a near death experience or not...she might need it.
|
Haha, I hope you enjoy it. It's by far my favorite trilogy of his (the only one I actually like anymore, honestly.) He more or less invented the drow to write that book. They were just a footnote in DnD manuals up until that point.
|
Serra, Jeanne is probably always going to be protective towards Fee. xD If I get the chance I'll expand on her brother's backstory to explain exactly why, since it's not vital (though, should Jeanne die I'll probably shift my control to one of her siblings, so eventually at least a little in-character info on them would be good).
|
Alright...catch up time. *goes to the rp thread*
Edit: Sheol...I don't think Michael likes this situation...not one bit, and in order to remain in good fortune with the rest of the world, he would have to take action against the party. |
Gooood evening everyone! See we haven't moved too far. So depending on how this armory job goes, what are our options? I figure we're still headed to the seven churches, right?
