Vincent 04-26-2014 08:05 PM

xD Hai there Espy~
How's the day been for you so far? x3

Espy 04-26-2014 08:17 PM

Fine, trying to homework and game at the same time.

Vincent 04-26-2014 08:19 PM

Ah. XD I've been there. So conflicting. Normally I ended up doing homework in study hall at the end of the day though, so thankfully I didn't have to do that too often. xD
For what class is it? o:

Horror Babe 04-26-2014 08:28 PM

OH MY FUCKING GOD.
THE BIGGEST FUCKING TWIST OF THIS DAMNED SEASON.

I WAS GOING TO CLEAN BEFORE MY MOM GOT HOME BUT HOLY SHIT THAT TWIST.

Vincent 04-26-2014 08:32 PM

Nature of Language. Rather interesting course.

Vincent 04-26-2014 08:47 PM

So, like the origin of language or just how it's used? o: /guessing XD

Espy 04-26-2014 08:55 PM

Hm. Well, in the beginning, we talked about IPA and such, and we've been talking about how different languages have phonological and morphological changes. Phonological would be like...how we pronounce the "t" in "top" and "stop" differently. Morphological would be, say, adding re- to -ject vs adding -ful to beauti-; in the first case, -ject cannot stand alone as a word, while beauti- can in the form "beauty".

Stuff like that.

Vincent 04-26-2014 08:59 PM

Sounds rather different, and potentially complex if one doesn't pay atttention well enough. (which would be me. xD)
I can't imagine a japanese version of that class. -twitches-

Espy 04-26-2014 09:15 PM

Why not?

Vincent 04-26-2014 09:18 PM

I don't know. xD Just imagining someone trying to learn japanese and do that at the same time.
/random

But I DO guess it's probably a lot harder for an English class, considering the English language. :p

Horror Babe 04-26-2014 09:21 PM

Oh hi Espy.

Vincent.
Im just watching a shoe called The Tribe

Espy 04-26-2014 09:22 PM

Actually, it is really difficult for all Germanic languages. Japanese is not related to any other language, at least not in spoken form. Sure, it draws from Chinese and Korean, but the three aren't in the same group of languages. And it's based purely fixed phonemes (so like, each written character produces one sound), so I think there's a lot less of the, say, t's sounding like d's or flaps, or stops, or such, among other common problems.

Vincent 04-26-2014 09:23 PM

Must be a very unique shoe. o_o /gets shot
XD jk. And never heard of that one o.o Is it good?
What's it like?

Vincent 04-26-2014 09:24 PM

Germanic languages? Why do you say that?
Hm. Well if you put it that way then yeah I guess it wouldn't be too bad.
And if you put it that way, germans words + that = holy hell. XD
