Aces! I have the perfect plan!

Lee 12-17-2017 10:03 PM

I'm all ears. Or is this a secret evil plan?

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2017 10:58 PM

The most evil plan the world has ever known! Bwahahahaha!

But seriously. I want to buy some blank cards, make something fun/silly and give them to: a) My local friend and b) my out of state friends that I have addresses for...which is not many, but enough to complete my challenge. And possibly leave any other spares, if I have any, at checkout stands or on restaurant tables for the cashiers and wait staff.

Lee 12-17-2017 10:59 PM

Absolutely brilliant! Go forth and spread joy!

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2017 11:01 PM

Gotra wait until Tuesday to even get the supplies....and also need to remember to biy paint. And a couple small paint brushes. And a tiny easel and a few miniature canvasses...
For, uh...other stuff...

Ms Triste is a sneaky-sneak.

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2017 11:05 PM

Sneaky sneak is right!
Unfortunately, my sneaky sneak plans almost never work out due to lack of addresses to actually send sneaky sneak items to, I end up with a box of stuff taking up room in my closet for years...

Lee 12-17-2017 11:07 PM

I'm certain toys for tots or soldier care package places would appreciate.

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2017 11:12 PM

Toys for tots, definitely not. My plan is a lot of making stuff, and they kind of require (if I recall correctly) brand new toys with reciept? Soldier care stuff is a maybe, but I don't know if there's a place in town to drop off stuff though and I don't know what the restrictions are for that...

Lee 12-17-2017 11:22 PM

Salvation army doesn't require a receipt, and they usually have a dropoff box.

You might want to consider donating to Goodwill, Save The Children, No Kid Hungry, Doctors Without Borders, or Unicef instead of this place. They've been in the news recently for less-than-charitable practices.

That is one the most creative ways of requesting a number ON this thread. Congratulations for making my eyebrows go in different directions. >>

"Not everything for the Holidays has to deal with face-to-face meetings, greetings, and parties. There are quieter moments, times to think, reflect, and create. For this task, you are to make something representing the holidays. Could be a reindeer, could be a scarf, could be a dreidel, or even a holiday TARDIS if you like. You can use any medium you wish, so long as it's cheery and festive, and has something to do with the holidays!"

Kaderin Triste 12-17-2017 11:34 PM

Yeah, I definitely don't really support Salvation Army for a variety of reasons. While, often times, groups start controversy over nothing, the controversies surrounding S.A. are based on a lot of true things.

Rainbowfox Ari 12-17-2017 11:37 PM

I don't want to start any fights, it's just what I heard about, that's all.

Lee 12-17-2017 11:39 PM

No fights from my corner.
