america killed torchwood

The American version of Shameless looks surprisingly more rubbish than our version and I didn't think Shameless could get more crap.

AcidDrop 07-21-2011 05:10 PM

america RUINED faulty towers by making there own(called Amanda's).. get your own damn ideas!!

I enjoy television programs from both the states and the UK. It all depends on the show.
More of the animated shows I watch are made in the US (Adventure Time, Regular Show, etc) where as more of the live action/not animation shows are make in the UK.

I also don't really mind remakes all that much if I've never gotten the chance to watch the original. I will, however, be very peeved if the US ever tried to make their own version of Doctor Who. :I

My nephew watches Kipper the Dog (which is a British Kids show) and it's so funny and cute hearing British accents

I like British shows.
Absolutely Fabulous, Keeping Up Appearances, Fawlty Towers.
I love them <3

Tv Types

I prefer more of British TV but there are a few American shows I make an exception for. Though if is going to be translated to another language to English I going to watch the British version, American versions have a tendance to butcher names and omit important details.

Hey, I'm actually enjoying the American Torchwood, Zane.
DON'T HATE.

Kylie 09-01-2011 03:14 PM

Honestly I think there's some shows that are better in America and then some that are better in the UK.

Nothing else matters when Keeping Up Appearances comes on. <3 I started to watch The F Word and Kitchen Nightmares before I left home (where the on demand is !). They were both awesome. T^T

☪ஐﻬ☽ I like british tv. I don't watch the original
british shows of shows that are in the
states but I watch original shows like
Absoultely Fabulous, The worse 7 days
of my life (I think that is the name),
and of course The IT Crowd. That show
rocks, I wished they made more episodes
of it, I guess I have to suffer with
watching the entire series all over
again... LOL

I've recently been obsessed with Misfits. xD
It's brilliant, but I held off watching it for the longest time. ;~;

@Saiyouri: There's gonna be one more series, at least. I think Graham Linehan is in the process of writing it. 8D

I like both American and British television. It all depends on what it is and what you are looking for. British humor is definitely different from what most Americans are used to, and as such may seem weird or very dry in comparison. Personally, the only BBC show that I watch is Doctor Who, although Top Gear is interesting as well. Otherwise I prefer the American versions of shows, such as Torchwood and Being Human.
