You Me At Six's cover of Starry Eyed by Ellie Goulding. It's the only way I can listen to the song.

Peponi by the Piano Guys is a cover of Paradise by Coldplay.

I could listen to Peponi on loop for hours.

but I'm really more of a fan of rock than rap any day so that's probably my big reason why. I'm also a huge fan of this video.

"The Maple Leaf Forever" by Buble. :D.

I'm not all that fond of the guy, but I thought he did a pretty good job with that song. Was a national anthem contender from one of the World Wars, I think.

Apparenlty the closing ceremony for the 2010 Olympics didn't go over as well as it could because people apparently weren't sure if they were supposed to laugh or not. Floating moose!

Like what songs in your opinion?

Mastodon's cover of ZZ Top's "Just Got Paid" is beyond amazing to me.

I very seldom like the covers more than the originals, but I definitely liked Amy Winehouse's version of 'Valerie' (originally by The Zutons) so much better than the original...and Florence + The Machine's covers of Beyonce's 'Halo' and of Robert Palmer's 'Addicted to Love'

Originals! And I'd have to listen to the covers on a case by case.

Yes and no, I suppose. I listen to A LOT of covers and original songs. There's no black and white in this area though. There's a ton of grey. For instance, I first heard the Alien Antfarm version of Smooth Criminal before the original Michael Jackson one. Both are good in their own right, but I prefer the Alien Antfarm one. And I think it's probably because I heard it first. Kinda like reading a book before watching the movie of that book. the movie is going to blow. Always.

However, there ARE some like what you mentioned. An example is Lolipop by Framing Hanley. (cover) Rock = Good. Rap = bad. The cover is far superior to the original.
