@Quiet Man Cometh; Hehe, those kind of choices drive me nuts. xD
I'm like "Oh god what if I mess something up!? DDDD: THERE'S NO GOING BAAAAACK!" xD
I'm always like, intensely weighing the pros and cons of each choice and then I'm like, "Wait, I'm basically role-playing. What would my CHARACTER do?"

Quiet Man Cometh 07-16-2011 02:13 AM

You sure that was Dragon Age?

Dweller; I used to do that in school when writing papers I didn't want to write. If I didn't like this political party what would I think? Made it a lot easier. :)

Dweller 07-16-2011 02:17 AM

@Quiet Man Cometh; Heheh, I'll keep that in mind during my last years of High School. xD
I think "role playing" would be a good way to survive during High-School... So I think we learn more from video games than some people beg to differ. xD

Suzerain of Sheol 07-16-2011 12:19 PM

I don't know, I can't think of what else it would have been. I really recall you telling me that you'd got to the part I told you about with the possessed child that's just a hellishly ambiguous moral dilemma. I must have imagined it, though.

Dweller 07-16-2011 03:11 PM

Oh god, I remember that part. Pain in the butt!
I hate going into the fade, is like my least favorite part of the game. Dx

Quiet Man Cometh 07-17-2011 01:39 AM

I recall that conversation, and was one of the game changing morally rediculous choices I was referring too, but I hadn't played Dragon Age yet. I know there was a game that fit what you are talking about but it just wasn't Dragon Age.

Suzerain of Sheol 07-17-2011 03:25 PM

Hmm, okay. That makes more sense than me just imagining the entire conversation. :p

Dweller 07-23-2011 11:16 PM

Has anyone here played Jade Empire?

Suzerain of Sheol 07-23-2011 11:49 PM

I did. Twice, I believe. Interesting game. Very unique flavor to the world. My only problem with it was that I didn't really like any of the companions.

Dweller 07-23-2011 11:58 PM

I've played it about twice too. I really love the concept of the ancient Chinese world, and the storyline was fun to play.
And I agree about the companions, they weren't really relatable. Although I like Black Whirlwind and one other dude, but I can't remember his name. o u o

Suzerain of Sheol 07-24-2011 12:25 AM

That about says it all, I think. :p Their personalities just weren't really memorable, not like most of Bioware's other NPCs.

Quiet Man Cometh 07-24-2011 01:01 AM

What's Jade Empire? Heard of it. Strategy or Third person RPG?

Taki 07-24-2011 06:23 AM

I've played Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age II, loved them so much~ I recently got my hand on Mass Effect, the first and second, due to the Steam summer same. *o* I played a bit of the first one, and quite like it so far, so I hope to complete it sooooon.

I'm still upset about the battles with the mages at the end of Dragon Age II, though. *snort* D;

Suzerain of Sheol 07-24-2011 09:18 AM

Quiet, Jade Empire is a third-person RPG with a wuxia martial arts theme. Very creative and original, with a highly immersive setting. I dare say you might like it. It's even on the PC. :p

Dweller 07-24-2011 02:09 PM

@Suzerain of Sheol; I agree completely! xD I really loved it though, and it inspired me to write a story, so I'm happy. xD

@Taki; I love all of those games! You won't be disappointed with Mass Effect, I promise. xD And I know right? I'm still upset about that battle.. And losing Orsino. Dx Meredith was way creepy, man...

Suzerain of Sheol 07-24-2011 02:15 PM

I keep trying to get myself to start playing Mass Effect 2 today. Haven't managed it yet, 'tis a lot of effort to dig it out of my game drawer, and all. :p

Perhaps after lunch....
