Well the only ideas I could come up with were kinda epic and cliche like the kid and the fairy working together to break his contract and turn the fairy human XD. It started to sound a little like spirited away.

Something like this unless you want to change it. As for the pixie I am not sure, I guess he would just want to be human or some type of power like the ability to grow bigger xD.

So he gives away his first child, and in order to get it back he has to help the pixi become human?

I was thinking it was just the kid trying to escape his fathers folly but either works.

So basically the boy seeks help from a pixi to escape slavery in the kingdom maybe, and the piki was originally human, so they're both trying to help one another escape because as soon as the piki sets foot outside the kingdom the spell is broken and it becomes a human?
and then they're hunted down?
