It really annoys me that people can publish those pieces of crap... >.<

I'm not at my desk at the moment, butt basically I bring my drawing stuff in a backpack, I made my own sketchbook out of a binder and a 3 hole puncher.

But basically my desk/workspace is just a printer, keyboard, mouse, and my monitor and that's about it. It's nothing specails my deak only has 4 draws no shelves and it's below a picture of Miku I got for free and a flag of France.

yea. It was no help what so ever to me and a waste of money =(

Poggio 08-21-2011 04:30 PM

It annoys me, that he thinks he can make money off those books when his art sucks monkey ass. I mean most people grow out of the phase where the head is too big for the body in a matter of years but not him. And it stylistically urks me that hes getting an entire generation of people to draw that way. ><

-Chases after Dk- Give me back my sharpie woman!

Alexander Linden 08-21-2011 04:32 PM

Yeah. His art really does suck, I don't know why he'd publish a book to help other artists when those using it probably draw better than he does.

Demonskid 08-21-2011 04:37 PM

I think it was that book that made me worse xD I tried some things from there and it was all Ugh.

I like the one how to draw anime & game characters by Tadashi Ozawa. Its one of the things I downloaded :3

Alexander Linden 08-21-2011 04:46 PM

The downloaded books that I have are all from an old pencil artist that shows how to draw folds and shadow on cloth. Otherwise... I don't find many how-to-draws useful. xD

It's not anime or manga related at all. I tend to not go for ones anime or manga related (unless they have really cool art in them!), because I want to develop my own style and want it to look... not completely influenced by Japanese-style art. I don't think I've completely gotten away from it, but I'm happy with where my pencil art has gotten so far.

Demonskid 08-21-2011 05:00 PM

I like the anime style type of drawing and I tend to adapt my own style when I do draw. x3

Alexander Linden 08-21-2011 05:03 PM

My art teachers used to scold me for it in High School. xD

Poggio 08-21-2011 05:07 PM

I can't draw anime to save my life. I've been realistically trained.

Demonskid 08-21-2011 05:08 PM

my art teacher made no sense D8 she said every ones head was the same shape... but I always seen all sort of shapes and stuff.. =(

like a friend of mine had a round face where my ex's face was skinny and long

Alexander Linden 08-21-2011 05:09 PM

Poggio - Realistically trained?

DK - Seriously? Then why do people at salons learn about different face/head shapes and sizes when deciding what sort of hair cut would look nice with their shape?

Demonskid 08-21-2011 05:12 PM

Its probably the reason I prefer learning anime like styles instead of realistic xD

though if someone stayed still long enough I could draw them pretty well. I can draw stuff I see. But if it's in my mind with out a physical image i have a pretty hard time.

Poggio 08-21-2011 05:12 PM

yeah, I've been taught to draw from life and to render realistically, ( Example ) its hard. And then to try to make something graphic and simplistic takes me a while.

Alexander Linden 08-21-2011 05:26 PM

Charcoal? I still have charcoal and charcoal pencils. Haven't really used them in a while though.

Poggio 08-21-2011 05:29 PM

Si, its fun. XD this thread is making me want to clean my desk and go draw. I might do that later. I haven't made a pattern in a while.
