I miss when mtv played music and OH GOD I FEEL LIKE I COULD BREATHE FIRE RIGHT NOW!

Daring Scylla 10-19-2011 09:20 PM

Do it. DO IT. Breathe fire! And film it. And send me the film so I can post it on youtube and exploit you for popularity.

I never was a big TV person, except for football of course (soccer to most of you) so when MTV played actual music videos I didn't see em. I may be too young for that, though.

I looked up this extreme couponing show. Maybe I will have to harass my neighbor for use of her TV like I did with the DW finale.

Yokuutsu 10-19-2011 09:30 PM

Well if you start couponing like that....SEND ME SOME FREE STUFF!

Feythfull 10-20-2011 01:33 PM

yeah send me free stuff too lol it's not even possible to coupon like that around here.

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 03:32 PM

/collects ALL the coupons

Ok now I need your addresses.

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 03:52 PM

LOL

I wish I could coupon like on the show, but no doubling up to a dollar or loyalty cards here T-T

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 03:54 PM

I have a loyalty card to the local grocery store, it saves me money on gas at certain service stations as well. Score. SCORE.
Unfortunately, the coupons I'm finding are for a load of processed rubbish, though I'm finding good household item coupons.

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 04:06 PM

All I eat is processed stuff. It's cheap, easy to find, easy to cook, and about the only thing my mother will buy .-.

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 04:18 PM

But it's.....it's so bad for you.
I'm not really a health food nut, though, I just don't like process food. I can taste the difference. In Ireland, most of the food is cooked/sold near to the place where it is grown, with the exception of exotic fruits and other imported materials. There's seriously a taste difference.

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 04:25 PM

And I bet it costs more in American dollars. Just saying.

We don't have family dinners here like you see on tv. Everyone eats on their own so there's no point in buying things you have to cook. It's usually in portions for more than one.

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 04:29 PM

I eat a lot of hummus and bell peppers and easy-to-make food because i just don't have the time to be "LET ME COOK THIS DELICIOUS IRISH DINNER" or "LET ME PREPARE THIS DELICIOUS GERMAN LUNCH"
I used to eat family dinners a lot - my mum would blow her top if we didn't at least have one meal a day together. Now I live on my own, though, but i eat dinner with a group when I visit my brother.
What do you mean by portions? For more than one?

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 04:36 PM

Hummus sounds nasty. I like those frozen stuffed bell peppers from stouffers.

Yeah. You know a box of mac n cheese is meant for more than one person. Which means when I make one....I'm eating an entire box of mac and cheese by myself. Which cuts out many of the chances for the other food groups...like veggies and the like.

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 04:41 PM

UGH mac and cheese. I dunno how you can stand that.
I don't always eat healthy, but I try to at least include a majority of the food groups in my daily eating (excepting fats and oils)
i really don't get fast food at all. it's so unhealthy. and it smells funny.

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 05:22 PM

It's CHEESE! CHEESE AND NOODLES! What isn't good about that?

Fast food is <3 especially things with bacon. And it's cheaper than buying the shit to make food especially since it would be only me and possibly my mother eating it.

Mac n cheese is better than ramen and peanut butter sandwiches which I had to live off of for an entire summer.

Daring Scylla 10-20-2011 05:24 PM

I remember by sandwich days. First year of college. <3
Bacon, as in the very burnt kind that Americans call bacon? Because let me tell you, my bacon is way different that yours ;)

Yokuutsu 10-20-2011 05:29 PM

Burnt and crispy are two different things. Believe me. I know. Crispy is good. Burnt is nasty as HELL.

It was because my mother refused to buy any food other than peanut butter (so peanut butter sanwiches) and those horrible for you maruchan things of ramen. I lived off of that for about 3 months.
