Places are really starting to watch who buys what around here so unless you're parents are the "I don't care if my kid drinks or not" type.. you aren't getting booze -w-,

Fen is taking an hour break and will be back so get those DNA's Signed and sent back <3

Arikana 01-05-2012 09:05 PM

My parents don't mind if I drink, and it doesn't matter if I do anyways since I know I have high tolerance since I've drank quite a bit before. :3
But it's the acquired taste of beer and wine that I just can't get used to. :'(
I haven't tried other stuff like vodka and liquor, so I don't know how I'd do with those tastes. PX

Demonskid 01-05-2012 09:07 PM

I just want to try sake =w=

Coda 01-05-2012 09:18 PM

Duchess, it's kinda messy. Technically you're right but it's also illegal to furnish alcohol to a minor, and in a lot of places it's illegal for a minor to have any detectable alcohol in their system. So while the act of drinking it isn't illegal, someone had to break the law to get there and in some places you're breaking the law afterward.

DK, sake's hit and miss. It's a stronger liquor than you would expect from something called "wine" -- it's closer to vodka. Cheap sake stinks and burns; good sake is smooth but potent and almost evaporates in your mouth. And an appreciation for the flavor of potent alcohol doesn't come naturally; you have to learn to like it.

owo thanks for the info coda <3

Espy 01-05-2012 09:21 PM

I've heard that you never wanna swallow too much sake at once if it's your first time...my English teacher nearly knocked himself out o.O;;

Arikana 01-05-2012 09:22 PM

Wonderful. This will be fun. Now I just need someone to get me some since alcohol is pricey and I'm poor. X'D
Or I suppose I could hunt for a part-time job or something...but alcohol is still pricey that I'd rather save up for Toronto Maple Leafs home tickets~~ <3

Demonskid 01-05-2012 09:22 PM

OwO sounds like fun... but.. I'll take sips ^^,

Arikana 01-05-2012 09:25 PM

Yeah, I don't think I'd be able to take gulps of alcohol either. Be a bit much for me. PX

Coda 01-05-2012 09:31 PM

Ari, you're totally right. XD You definitely don't want to just shoot a shot of it or it's gonna hit the back of your throat and the fumes will make you gag.

I don't drink a lot (I have been actually drunk a grand total of ONCE and that was actually something of a scientific experiment) but I have enough experience to know what to appreciate.

Demonskid 01-05-2012 09:32 PM

I had a sip of Jack Daniels and a sip of bear oxo didn't care for either of them

Coda 01-05-2012 09:34 PM

I can't stand American beer; I've never actually tasted it but the smell alone is enough to make me avoid it. x.x And whiskey... well, good whiskey is all right but most of the time it's just too strong and not enough flavor. Personally I'm a fan of spiced light rum.

Illusion 01-05-2012 09:35 PM

Sense when was Coda the expert in booze?

Duchess 01-05-2012 09:36 PM

Jack Daniels tasted vile =[

I think I only like cocktails ^^;;; Everything else could die...

Demonskid 01-05-2012 09:37 PM

It is vile duchess D:

Coda 01-05-2012 09:39 PM

Heh, Illusion, I'm almost 30 years old. I've had a long time to get acquainted with what's good and what isn't. I don't drink a lot but I'll try samples when other people get drinks. I also have an absurdly high tolerance (it took 1/3 of a bottle of rum to get me drunk and that was while I was sick so my resistance was down; under normal circumstances I don't even get buzzed off of any reasonable amount of drink) so I don't drink to get drunk -- when I drink it's because I enjoy what I'm drinking, which requires that I know what it is I like.
