I am still surprised Sailor moon is still out there. To my memory of my sister watching it I could have sworn it ended.

I also remember them heavily editing it for American tv networks to remove all the lesbian references and situations XD

The manga has been re-released and and.. they are remaking the anime cause it does NOT follow the manga x'D

I always found that strange that they edited those out. Seeings how there were far worse things a kid could see in anime or just anything else.

But I'm not a fan of sailor Moon nor the whole "Magic girl" franchise. Just something about girls transforming into sailor suits and fighting monsters is the best thing. ( enter hentai remark here )

Granted I watched sailor moon with my sister way back when. The last thing I remember was... Sailor moon and that um...Tuxedo mask getting married or something...

Sailor Moon was my gateway anime when I was a preteen, so I have a lot of nsotalgia for it, but it doesn't really hold up that well -- even the uncut Japanese version, which is much more mature than the English TV version, is still pretty silly. I'll definitely check out the new series but I'm not particularly excited about it. I actually think it's kind of weird how apparently anime fans love remakes and retreads of stuff whereas movie fandoms rage so hard against remakes.

Most anime remakes are to have the anime follow the manga. that is why we are excited for the sailor moon remake. :3 well its why i am excited.

probably. I just got my hands on the re-prints they released recently. the ones where they use the japanese names and stuff. I like the manga much more the the current anime.

Glad to see its following closely to the manga this time around. For a while people thought mars would be in pink. :x I rather like her in red and it better stay that way.

I miss Sailor Moon so much, it makes me happy that younger kids will get to enjoy this show too now. :)
