Kali: That's a pretty good deal then, since it came with photoshop. Since Photoshop is like... a ridiculous amount of money on its own. =A=

Kali_Namir 08-12-2012 06:34 PM

I just hope I can actually learn to use it! Lols!

Meizicht 08-12-2012 06:36 PM

Lol, it takes time and a lot of getting used to, that's for sure. @__@

Kali_Namir 08-12-2012 06:37 PM

Yeah, but I finally understand the awesomness of the burn tool...lols!

Meizicht 08-12-2012 06:40 PM

xD Luminosity is fun too. I use it for lighting a lot ( then again, sai's luminosity and photoshop's might be different. I know they're different in gimp. )

Funny, the /good/ tablets (read: anything made by Wacom since 2002) work BETTER on a Mac. XD My wife is an artist and she's a dedicated Mac user, uses a Cintiq 20WSX. She's USED Photoshop on Windows extensively, but on a Mac it's a lot nicer.

It's actually funny to hear you say PCs are better for art, when art has always been Mac's strong suit compared to PC -- all the way back to the 80s.

Meizicht 08-13-2012 01:45 AM

I have a Wacom Bamboo, and I took two years of digital media with macs, and it never worked properly with the ones I worked with. =/ For me, photoshop was always a hassle and I hated working with it.
I'm sorry if I seemed out of line at all. It was just my opinion, based on my own experience.
( Honestly, I'm quite ignorant, so it's probably better to brush off my argument anyway. xD; )

Well, sure, I'm not saying Photoshop is the best tool to use -- to each his own, really, and if you're more comfortable in other tools that's fine. Photoshop is a massive tool with more options than the typical user will ever need.

And I suppose I haven't evaluated Wacom's recent bottom-of-the-line tablets on EITHER platform. The Graphire series worked equally well on both, but I haven't used anything less than an Intuos in years.

My Tablet works fine on my Mac, though I put the free programs from it on my old PC and it wasn't that good.. but i figured it was just the laptop.

A lot of Trisphees art is really nice!

Crystalkins 08-21-2012 04:33 AM

I have to agree with kloob :3

I can't really join in on the tablet discussion (I own a super-cheap tiny one to doodle with but I'm not much of an artist at all), but I just joined today and the homepage art was really striking and definitely appealed to me when I first saw the homepage. This site is quite nice-looking all around, actually.

Pathosis 09-19-2012 04:59 PM

I agree, it's absolutely gorgeous! 8D
It's what drew me into the site even more~

Fauxreal 09-22-2012 01:36 AM

I don't think I really see it much because I'm always signed in.
