Last I checked no but it may have changed since I last looked.

I just wondered, since people are questing for multiples of the same item.

Some people want extras to sell later when they get higher in price an harder to find.

I think I read that there will be an update to the avatar dressing system, and after that you can only use one pose per item.

That update has already happened, Angel Spirit Girl.
Item disappears after pose has been used it, unless it's like Bundle or Anka item that is split up in different pose items so you can wear them at the same time.

OK. I did not know that they had done it already since I had not gotten enough items yet to have a first full non-testing outfit. Yup. I have not resaved since closed beta.
