私はとても素晴らしいですので、私は、トランスレータを使用しています!....待ち時間を、いいえ、私は ではない。 x__x

hah, that probably came out sooooo bad. D:

Coda 10-11-2010 01:18 PM

Heh, Google Translate does a terrible job with Japanese, just so ya know.

sprinkles 10-11-2010 01:24 PM

better than babelfish though, lol.

but yeah, translators usually do. u__u

Coda 10-11-2010 01:45 PM

Excite's translator does fairly well but the site is in Japanese in the first place so you have to know enough of the language to navigate it.

As for Babelfish... I haven't tried it in a while, but I actually suspect it would do better than Google.

sprinkles 10-11-2010 01:57 PM

i would probably be able to navigate it. xD

Coda 10-11-2010 02:01 PM

http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/ Enjoy.

Edit: Actually, it'll probably produce the same results as Babelfish; they're both Systran.

sprinkles 10-11-2010 02:10 PM

i guess its better than google translate, though. ; u;

Bum 10-11-2010 02:43 PM

I'm currently at school.

I originated from my mother's womb.

Ashley 10-11-2010 04:37 PM

Northern Kentucky

kleptomaniac 10-11-2010 04:52 PM

The land of Eng.
Which really makes no sense. Who makes up country names anyway?
Woohoo, England! :D

Coda 10-11-2010 05:01 PM

Makes perfect sense if you consider that the historical people to settle the land called themselves the Angles. It's not a huge stretch to corrupt "Angle-Land" to "England" over time.

kleptomaniac 10-11-2010 05:09 PM

Ahh, I guess.
Hah, Angle-land just sounds weird though. :p Glad it changed.

Himiko 10-11-2010 05:22 PM

I'm from Seattle, and still live in Seattle. <3

Perfectly Wicked 10-11-2010 05:54 PM

Portland, OR.
Fairly close to Seattle.

Bum 10-11-2010 10:31 PM

Juggernaut 10-14-2010 11:50 PM

I'm from Nevada.
About an hour from Vegas.
I've been in this state for almost my entire life. >_>

Espy 10-15-2010 12:17 AM

Cali. San Francisco region, because not many people know where Sunnyvale/Los Altos is.

Ethereal 10-15-2010 01:23 AM

You know, I don't think I've met anyone else from Canada. *cries* I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Freezing most of the time, and very warm in the summer. /hateshottemperatures

Also read the bunch of Japanese text. I WANT TO LEARN so badly. That and Irish Gaelic, but I doubt I will find anyone who speaks gaelic well enough to teach me. ;~~;

Espy 10-15-2010 01:32 AM

Er...I wanna learn Gaelic too. As well as German and Italian and Japanese.
...
Wow. WWII Axis. But seriously.

Ethereal 10-15-2010 02:00 AM

Well, if I learn before you I'll help you learn. :3 There is a program you can use to interact with other people who actually live where you want to learn. The program finds them and they help you pronounce and understand. Which due to them being bilingual in the case of speaking Gaelic, should be simpler than Japanese. As there are certain tones you have to be cautious of s you don't offend who you are speaking to. o___o

Politics, pretty much. Those bastards put us in trouble and we've had serious warnings about terrorist attacks lately. All due to one guy..

SilverPhoenyx 10-20-2010 02:35 PM

私は道に迷っています。

No, really, I have.

And now, for something completely different.

It doesn't matter where you're from..
all that matters is where you are going.
Cultural differences may add richness to your character,
and an accent to your speech - but we really
aren't all that different.

We all have dreams and goals and desires.
We all feel love and sadness and embarrassment.
We all have trials and need a helping hand
from time to time.
We have beliefs and ideologies and people
that we are willing to fight for..
to die for.

You journey is unique, yes,
but your walk on this mortal coil is to be shared.
If you cannot be uplifted,
then seek to uplift others,
so that - in the end - you will be.
