But I will say. I think they are giving what the fans want. We cry and cry for the older pokemon and when they deliver we cry andcry more because they are upgrading them.
This will help improve the metagame so much.
Im hoping they will only upgrade pokemon In the lower tiers (though they did give blaziken a mega. Bloo. Hes already OP)

You think its terrible because they call them "mega" pokemon. I mean. Its ok. It fits their description perfectly. They are mega versions of their previous forms.

Ampharos finally is dragon type. (His Japanese name means thunder dragon) and just everything.

but also I like them for many reasons beyond their usefulness in competitive battles.
1) I adore their new looks. A lot of the older pokemons designs are a little. Meh. So the upgrade is very attractive to me. (Goddamn dat ampharos.)
2) the concept seems interesting. You only get to have 1 mega on your team and they don't stay mega always. Just in battle
3) (gosh this is a metagame reason. But gotta add it) more move pool for pokemon getting another typing. Also better abilities. (Ohmygod.)
4) its a step up to me. Once the gen wunners and the haters get past this "ohmygod so unoriginal " phase they will notice how cool it is.
5) sbsbsjs have.. have you seen them?!?! I mean. Oh god.
6)lists.
7) I swear I have more reasons. But im so tired. And all I can think about is meta game.
