Not at all, stuff like that you can just assume you have, it's no big deal. I'll quote Spoony, "If you could reasonably assume to find it at Walmart, go ahead and have it."

Salone 09-07-2013 06:09 PM

Well, posted then. It's rough and lacking some detail, but that can all come in later. Starting posts always feel rough. Like pilots to shows. Only have so much room and material to introduce a whole new thing.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-07-2013 06:23 PM

Looks good to me. So, is Lev going to look contemptuously on Dio's 5-foot braids? :P

Speaking of, does he not notice him hanging out all creepy in the shadows, or just doesn't care? :P

Salone 09-07-2013 06:46 PM

I figured since he was behind the throne that Lev did not have line of sight. So, not aware then. And he'll probably just regard the braids as odd. Parts not to eat.

Espy 09-07-2013 07:19 PM

Nice to see this thing finally be up and running.

"Parts to not eat." Dante wonders what he should do to label his whole self as that.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-07-2013 08:13 PM

Espy, I can't tell if he's sensing Zaccheus or the Iron Scepter there. :P

I'm guessing the scepter would register as more powerful, assuming it *has* an aura. Zach's powerful, but with that thing he's all "l'etat, c'est moi"... literally. :|

Suzerain of Sheol 09-07-2013 08:41 PM

So, I guess I should wait on Ari to call the meeting, yeah?

Gives me more time to figure out what's actually going on, anyway. >_>

Espy 09-07-2013 09:58 PM

Probably the scepter...? But at that distance, he can't really tell they're two separate things.

Arikana 09-07-2013 10:45 PM

Huh? There's a meeting going on or something? o3o

(I hope it can wait a little longer, I need to go shower and then put my makeshift tartlets in the oven. >3>)

Suzerain of Sheol 09-07-2013 11:20 PM

Take your time, Ari, I probably won't get to the big "I suppose you're wondering why I've called you here" moment til tomorrow.

Oh, and since Espy mentioned dozens of people in there, how about we have a bunch of mooks come with us this time that we can spend appropriately grisly and cinematic death scenes on? :P

Arikana 09-07-2013 11:45 PM

o3o How would this meeting take place? Skype? FaceTime? On here?

Though the latter most would probably have the least meeting feel to it. >3>

I do like the sounds of senseless killings every now and then. :)

Salone 09-07-2013 11:48 PM

Meeting? I think it's just in-rp...

Right? And yep, destruction is always good. Also might get Lev a meal.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-07-2013 11:50 PM

lol, yes, meeting in in-character. You have all been called to attendance. :P

Arikana 09-08-2013 12:28 AM

OOOH. That kind of meeting. I get it now.

Salone 09-08-2013 10:29 AM

Here Suze, you might prefer this version of Old Stan better.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njuo1EKzjuQ

Maybe, maybe not. I've always enjoyed the album this came off of.

Arikana 09-08-2013 11:26 PM

Update. Okay, I think I'm done my character profile thing. However, it's late and I need to sleep. So I will go over sometime tomorrow to make sure things are good before posting it. :3

Espy 09-09-2013 12:04 AM

Oh, I need to finish up Dante's, too.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-09-2013 09:05 PM

Salone, that song is awesomeness.

And I think I have where we're going more or less figured out, so just waiting for Ari's post. Starting off a bit bigger than last time, wasn't really feeling another zombie apocalypse.

Espy 09-09-2013 09:52 PM

Sounds good to me. Nice to start out with a fight -- we can probably figure out skills and stuff.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-09-2013 10:10 PM

Point to where I said we were fighting. :P

Oh, we'll get to the violence, but I have other things planned too. ^_^

Espy 09-09-2013 10:37 PM

That sounds good as well. Gives Dante time to get on Lev's bad side.

Arikana 09-10-2013 12:10 AM

Okay, here's my character profile thing before I forget to post. I'll work on a post tomorrow and hopefully get it done soon.

Espy 09-10-2013 12:48 AM

Hm...that's interesting. Besides the complete lack in arcane knowledge, she could probably be a really good fighting partner for all three of the guys. Though she doesn't seem like one to talk much...?

I'm kind of amused by how we don't have a softer support-type character like Fee and Jeanne from the first Esch.

Arikana 09-10-2013 07:34 AM

I…have no clue who those characters are. D:

And if she could get some training, she probably could be strong. She is pretty adamant about receiving training, so it'd probably have to somehow be done without her knowing. That, or someone just needs to force her to train. :P

Suzerain of Sheol 09-10-2013 11:54 AM

Glad you got it done, Ari. Couple things, though.

Spiritual presence isn't so much piety as it is the potency of the soul, faith doesn't play that big of a role since souls are tangible things here (i.e. Zaccheus has turned his back on religion but he's still a theurge of Extreme strength) and it's more can you look at a seraphim/survive a death spell from a wraith/and so on. If she's not particularly endowed in that department, I'd bump her down.

For psychic presence, potential will only get you so far. I have Dio listed as High, and if she can match or even out-psych him, that's fine, but he's auto-aiming, bullet-timing, running up walls, punching through concrete, and deflecting machine gun fire with his psykosis (and telekinetically animating Dante's chain whip if he'll let him :P) Every psychic's going to have different areas of expertise, but if she isn't on that level (multitasking several potent powers together while being able to still fight) I'd keep her at average, since the potential would at least cover *resistance* to some degree. (Extreme psych would be teleporting, tearing apart buildings, mass dominating entire cities, getting blown to pieces and holding one's constituent cells together, etc).

Finally, the only way someone'd have Extreme mech aptitude is if they're Artificer-trained. That's on the order of performing cybernetic surgery in the field, manufacturing stuff straight out of raw materials, borderline-miraculous hacking abilities, and so on. What you're describing is more in the High category -- i.e. can fix pretty much anything, given time and resources.

And am I reading it right that she doesn't know how to really use the weapons she carries? Having a Poor in combat ability just seems a little odd to me if she's carrying that kind of specialized melee-combat equipment, unless she honestly doesn't know how to use it. I'd think at least average, especially if her psykosis bleeds into her reflexive abilities and whatnot at all.

I should probably have mentioned that Average is not actually average in the sense that your common citizen likely has, at best, Poor across the board. :P

Edit: oh, and for the record, I don't care if she's powerful, I like powerful, I'm just striving for accuracy with all this. ;)

Espy 09-10-2013 12:18 PM

Psychosis*. Dammit, Suze XD

I think I'll write up something quick for Dante tonight, then fill it out later.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-10-2013 01:35 PM

No, *psychosis* is a mental condition. Psykosis is one's psychic potential. :P

Krazy kewl letterz!

Suppose we could go we Psukhosis if we wanted to *really* Greek about it. :P

Espy 09-10-2013 01:48 PM

-twitches slightly-

Just got out of AbPsych class @____@

Arikana 09-10-2013 03:35 PM

Ah, okay. I'll make and repost changes later. Have some other things I need to do first, but they shouldn't take too long. Hopefully. o3o

Suzerain of Sheol 09-10-2013 11:31 PM

I never did get to take abnormal psychology. How is it, Espy?

...there's so many classes I never got to take. Totally going for that medieval history and philosophy minor when I go back.

Espy 09-11-2013 01:04 AM

AbPsych is...interesting. Haven't gotten much into the details yet, but being a experimental guinea pig is mandatory. Joy. -never quite fits within one SD of the average-

...Then again, I can be cynical about lots of things.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-11-2013 12:21 PM

Oh god, are there group experiments/activities? I literally walked out of my regular psych class at least five times during those. Forgot about those, now I'm glad I didn't take it. >_>

Espy 09-11-2013 12:34 PM

No, we just don't have a lot of homework, and the professor makes up for that by using us as lab subjects for her research.

Salone 09-11-2013 12:54 PM

Buh. Guinea Pig eh? I'd rather not.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-11-2013 10:59 PM

Oh, Ari, I'm sorry, this slipped my mind before, it's a little o_O for her to have that sword, for a few reasons. For one, tungsten is pretty damn heavy, it's not really the sort of thing you'd go to immediately for a sword, a steel and titanium alloy would probably be a lot better for her since it'll be a lot lighter.

Also, I don't think you can smelt titanium in a forge, you'd need access to equipment that's only likely to be found in factories, not the sort of thing she could just throw together in her garage, you know?

Not to mention, a blade like that is... not impossible to acquire by conventional means, but it's essential military issue, there's probably not a *whole* lot of them on the market.

Espy 09-11-2013 11:50 PM

Quick template just so I have /something/. I'll pull stuff from the other thread over the weekend when I have time.

Suze, can you check for me that these are approx right?

Suzerain of Sheol 09-11-2013 11:56 PM

Nothing wrong that I can see, I feel kind of bad for him though. D:

I'd personally go average/average for the two in question. Maybe add some other talents under his Other section to make up for it? If you can think of any that fit, at least.

Well, there wasn't a lot of tungsten in her blade but I shall change it.

Though, the titanium will stay. She can be very elusive so she could easily sneak into factories to use their machinery. *shrugs* She's been used to sneaking around places anyways since she doesn't like attracting attention if she can help it.

Suzerain of Sheol 09-12-2013 12:35 AM

You know Zach would probably just give her one if she asked, right? :P

Man hands out weapons like candy.

Actually, we already established candy is a rare commodity worth killing over, so substitute that with something appropriate. :P

Arikana 09-12-2013 12:43 AM

She'd rather build her own sword so if she were to ask Zaccheus for stuff, it'd be for materials. >3> How much time will there be once he hands out the mission? :o

I don't really like candy anymore, other than Candy Crush Saga. :P Though I'm starting to lose interest in it as well since I find Dots more amusing. >3>
