Then I'd have 13 and I need 25. Haha. And I'm glad that it was a good effort. |
I made this little boat out of paper for you.
It's as fragile as you once were. Looking at it float aimlessly on the water now makes me think of how we drifted though life. We were so carefree weren't we? Thinking there would be plenty more tomorrows to turn into yesterdays? We were wrong though weren't we? I don't think you would have regretted any moment. Even if you were cut down before your time, you lived more than those still alive. -My poem for today. |
I like that poem.
|
It is sad...
*tears up* |
Yes it is.
But that is what I liked about it. |
My poem? *blushes* Why thank you.
|
I know - it is very good.
|
You're welcome, love.
|
*blushes* This is why I like writing. You can truly touch people and make them feel things in response to just your words.
|
I like doing that also.
|
You guys are so cute.
You put my haikus to shame, yet still no prizes. |
I was not expecting a prize.
I just did it for fun. |
I'm glad there are like minded people on these boards. :3
|
(Trigger warning -- suicide. Taken from real-life experiences.)
|
Congratulations Firkash on today's win! Your prize will be granted shortly. |
Yes there is.
/smiles And yeah. Feelings from writings come from experiences. Edit: Oh my I won. Yay. /smiles big |
I could probably also write something about any of the people in my signature, but...that'd probably be more feelings than I can deal with right now.
|
Umm...Espy's sort of "triggered" this one...two actually, but the second one is more private...from the other end of suicide...
|
Ow.
Rice crackers are spicy. Why must tasty food be painful! Ow. Still better Than the wasabi chips. ...Ow. I will attempt something serious again, one of these days. I'm just on a steam of consciousness binge right now. |
I suppose another poem is in order.
My tears they stop As I watch the lantern leave My fears they stop Because I know now you are free Sadly that is all I got.. |
In my dappled cloak |
Oh, my father…
You, who knew nothing of me, Why, why must I play with your friends? I just want to sleep right now… Oh, my mother… Why can’t I dry your tears, I love you, don’t you see – I just want you to be happy… I’ll listen to your horrors, If you will hug me… Oh, family… We are cursed, aren’t we? Martyrs married to Abusers… Which one am I? Oh friends… Why do I see you go? We don’t talk anymore, Yet still I am great to you, Then for your sake, great I shall remain, Oh teacher… Why have you left me so? They humiliated me, They damaged me… But I shall just work harder… Oh ancestors... How you wither and die, Twice a year, In indecent health... Oh gods… Why am I so alone? Are you punishing me for their sins? I cannot focus anymore…I don’t know why I try… Oh College… Why did you bring me here? I have nothing left in me after these long years… |
Hrrm, Looks like I need to create more poems..
|
Congratulations on winning again, Firkash! Your prize will be granted shortly. |
Oh yay I won again.
I'll have to think of another poem at a later time. |
Does it make you proud,
this wretch of a child without heart, without grace; stumbling into stagnancy, and whose last gesture of faith is in a little paper boat listing in the reeds? |
Dazed in a dream
How I feel everyday Lost in a labyrinth Every moment of my existence Adrift in the abyss Trying to find my way Banished to the bone yard Rejected by those around me Outcast to Oblivion Not that they care for me much anyway Isolated to insanity Alone I suffer in my pain. For some reason my poems for this always turn out far more lonesome and sad than I intend. :/ |
I had a poem
So beautiful and so long But have forgotten |
Congratulations Quiet Man Cometh on winning today's poetry contest! |
*blinks*
Really? You sure? |
I need you back in my life.
I need the kind words from your lips. I need the soft touch of your fingertips. I need all the warmth you gave me. You're untouchable. You're like a faint memory. You're unforgettable. You're no longer mine. |
Congratulations Azaranth on winning today's poetry contest! |
Onward, Into the darkness I see,
Why yes, It is a light, Blinking at me. Could this be an apparition? Or a simple figment of my imagination? I approach and soft chill runs down my spine. Is this paranoia playing with my mind? Whispers, Giggles, These things I hear. As the radiant light pulls me near. The comfort of the light seems it has no hate.. I walk forward faster towards my fate.. For as I approach things are not as they seem. For the terrors now before me are the one I hide from in my dreams. The ploy of kindness and the warmth of hope they falsely provided. How could I have been so foolish minded? For the things I craved with every bone. Has left me buried below a slab of stone. By- Natsunaine. |
Short and sweet
Look up, from your darkness, Youth not yet gone, Look up, at stars vastly great, The life you have yet sown, Look up, please, and live. Burn within, the untapped fount, So much sealed by past, Burn within, and let it flow, Raise your own mast, Burn within, and live for your fire. See clearly, with all possible, Nothing there will stop you, See clearly, the world around, Senses kindled anew, See clearly, and be an unstoppable force. Flow well, be a ripple, You aren't alone, Flow well, take all chances, No, you don't have to atone, Just flow well, Match the drums of life. |
It's cold...
The ground has swallowed me up and everyone has forgotten me. I have been eradicated from their memories, Though some have joined me. We wait for our loved ones, Yet never see them. We long for their voices, Just their presence would be welcomed. Alas we are alone... Wait, What is this? Has someone finally came to wake my soul, To pull me from my sorrow? This tiny voice speaking to me... Who is it? "Grandma," they say so small and timid. "I'm sorry I never got to meet you." My granddaughter?... Another voice can be heard softly crying. "I love you mom." If I were alive I would be crying too... I was not forgotten today. I, I am still loved. |
Weight-bearing hands
Ask for crushing grip; For something to crumble Between their knuckles. Weightlessness bearing Down on empty palms, Flexing against nothing. Exercises in frustration. |
Oh noes I can't enter a poem yet :C
|
I'm debating if that last line in my poem should be axed and used for the title.
|
Hm, You could or just keep it there and name it the same anyways. owo..
I think my last poem was a bit crappy.. |
The rhythm isn't the best, that's true, but I like the ending. Maybe if you tried writing it as free verse? I have nothing against rhyming, I like it, but it feels a little forced in a couple spots.
Just my opinion. |
