My feelings on marriage are pretty clear: I don't care about it unless it involves kids to protect them from one or the other party to take advantage of them.
All the marriages I know of failed in some way or got divorce.
The strong couples that have been together for very long never married.

Marriage is definitely all up to the individual, my mom and brothers' dad never married and they stayed together for close to ten years, and my mom and dad stayed together for seven, and I can't even remember how long my mom and stepdad have been together, but they're still going.

Just giving my two cents on it. It's fine for some people not to want it, but they aren't all doomed to fail or, about kid battles if they do. In fact, my mom and dad were not about making the kids all hate the other at all. They both agreed my mom would take me and my sisters, and every summer my dad would take us, and they actually stayed on pretty friendly terms after it was all finalized. Pretty much the marriage that's actually still working is my mom and stepdad's in fact, even if things were to go bad and they got divorced tomorrow, they could do that because we're all adults now.

*is covering her ears*

I'm not ready to think about that! I haven't even gotten the chance to meet her in person yet

I guess sorta. I just looked up old welcome threads for no reason at all and found mine way back there. So I'll have been a trispheeite for a year in March apparently.

I'd say congrats, but it's not march.

I am planning to hopefully meet my girlfriend sometime next year... once I graduate from school

Thanks... I just gotta deal with all my family practically demanding that I spend about 6 months locally getting a job here and stuff, rather then moving to Texas and get a job somewhere else.

None of my family, that actually still cares about me, lives anywhere near me and don't care how I choose to spend my life.

...As horrible as that sounds, I think I'd rather that then having my family try and tie my down in a place that I am miserable.

Yeah, my dad's side of my family has nothing to do with me and wants nothing to do with me on account of what was my choice to do anyway, when dealing with my dad and grandma dying. And my mom's family, most of them live in state but nowhere near me and are happy to let me live my life my way.

What did you do that they had such a problem with?

I didn't do what they wanted me to, which was go and see my grandma and dad before they died. And I wanted to give a donation item to two random people and you were one of them I chose.

They didn't want you to go and see family? That's just stupid.

Yep, yours for free. And no, they wanted me to see them before they died, I didn't because it would have broken my heart to see them like that, so, because I didn't go visit them before they died, I was "disowned" from the family.

ohhh... Yeah, I can see why you would want that.

Yep, I knew my grandma as a strong independent woman who worked hard nearly forty years of her life and raised three kids raising partially one of her grandsons, and my dad was a man that despite living a pretty big part of his adult life in a wheelchair, before his body started giving out on him, looked young enough to be my brother. He aged a lot in those last months I hear.

Gaia was my first avatar site but that was back when it was still a good site and didn't have tons of issues. I like only ever log in for a few minutes there to check my messages, then I sit here, Youtube, and a few other places and spend my time online.

Yeah, it's a sci-fi/fantasy site, with a whole slew a fanfics and arguements about whether this character from series A could defeat this character from series B, and whether the Magic systems are compatable and how the differing villians would interact
