they also have clouds and mountains and beans and bugs! ouo,
whats wrong with people with anime characteristics that turn into cute furries? ono |
SKIIIN COLLOUUURRRRR~
Specifically... I was upset...That a black sheep WAS NOT BLACK >:[ It's not a race issue... it's a "I expected unnatural skin colours" issue. A diversity issue. A CREATIVITY issue. I wanted a sweetie with skin as rich as midnight... but i got basic Japanese flesh tone. *deep mournful sigh* I boycotted the anime because I knew I'd just get more upset with each episode. |
Yea, I was disappointed with Moa's humanoid skin.. but they probably did that to keep from 'race hate' stuff that tends to happen.
You see what they had to do to Jynx the pokemon because of her 'black' skin (the lips didn't help her case either) they had to turn her purple because of all the comments and hate stating that Jynx was a 'racist' pokemon -o- |
It's the same thing I had mentioned to you before -- if you like the art style of having the mostly-animal-like character designs, then having those same characters being presented as humans who happen to have some very faint features (mostly limited to ears and tails) is a major change in artistic direction.
Imagine playing an Animal Crossing game where Tom Nook looked the way he does when you interact with him, but every time you see a picture of him in the world (even if you take the picture yourself) the result was a middle-aged human man with a black bandanna and a tail (EDIT: but everyone thinks it looks just like him). It'd be funny as a gag (it works for Hatoful Boyfriend), and it's entirely possible that the game would otherwise be good, but that kind of thing makes it hard to take the character designs seriously. |
-never played animal crossing- o3o
|
That's a little surprising, it seemed like the kind of game you'd be into.
You might also imagine if a Super Mario show had Yoshi as a fair-skinned human with a red backpack with white trim, orange shoes, and wavy red hair... but he still carries Mario around, and no one thinks it's weird. |
Yesss Coda. That's /exactly/ it.
I loved cute chibi characters. Loved love love... but the anime just turned me off with it's art direction. So I just ignored it's entire existence. I mean anime these days are just advertisements for the main property, and I already played the main game so who cares~~ |
I want animal crossing but pokemon and zelda come first >.>,
|
I find the juxtaposition of the art styles unpleasant myself too, but I still play the game because it's fun. :P I like (most of) the music, I'm HUGE into rhythm games anyway, and adding some additional game mechanics to "tap the notes when they hit the bottom of the screen" is a welcome twist on the format.
I just... don't think Moa's UR card (which I have) looks like Moa at all. :P |
-pets Crow and Rom- they look smexy in both forms and that's ALL dk cares about! x3
the only part that looks like Moa is the hair o3o, |
Yes for Rhythm Games~!!
But currently my mobile rhythm games of choice are Cinderella Girls Starlight Stage and Love Live School Idol Festival because I am the trashiest of trash deep in idol hell right now. The reason CGSS and LLSIF win out of SB69 is because I feel more comfortable holding my phone in landscape. I got cramps in my fingers from the portrait mode. I just...can't.... ow The game was very fun while I played it tho despite my issues. I'd probably still be playing it if I hadn't found other games that fit me as an individual better. |
I had to root my kindle to play SB69. it didn't like my phone xD
|
What??? WHy?? XDD
What kind of phone were you playing it on? |
An LG Optimus Dynamic 2
tiny bugger, hard to play on... >.> kindle is bigger, easier to play on, no lag <3 |
Ohhhh Now I understand.
My phone is the massive af Note 3. It feels like a PSP/Vita when I hold it sideways its so damn big i love it. I'd probably root my kindle to play it too, if I were you. lol I usually get all my games from an app called QooApp. It helps me keep track of when there's a new update for my Japanese local mobile games. Sooo useful. I don't think I've ever really considered rooting my phone for anything because of that. |
I used QooApp but it messes up my Google Play on my kindle (Google Play doesn't like kindles) damn thing is so grouchy
so i have to manually download the game, and install it using this special installer cause its an APKX or whatever xD |
Yeh.. Amazon kinda locked up the Kindle. Must get your apps from Amazon! RAWR *rolls eyes*
Seems like a lot of trouble but the game is pretty much worth it and there're other non-north american games you can force on it now as well. |
It's easier to get it on iOS because you just have to buy a Japanese iTunes gift card.
Ginny's got the Note 5. It's too big for me. ^^() I do tend to prefer landscape for games but portrait does have its advantages -- more time to see the notes coming, which is especially nice when you don't have scroll modifiers. Has Duchess played Deemo? |
DK wants a bigger tablet for games x3 one with google play xD
|
I'm not sure... There's a part of me that thinks have because i vaguely remember playing an early development game a couple of years back that was crowdsourcing donations to build more levels....
But the other part thinks that it might have been a completely separate game I'm thinking of.... I'll probably go check out Deemo again just to be safe. |
Deemo is from Korea and doesn't have "levels" to build, so that probably wasn't it.
|
12/50 gem things until i can try for the UR Gacha again. DK wants all the crow cards *n*
|
Quote:
Deemo was the piano game. I was thinking of Cytus.......maybe.....ugguuu Actually no...definitely - http://www.rayark.com/g/cytus/ This is what happens when you've played pretty much every goddamn rhythm game the play store has to offer. They all just blend together into oneness. In my defence, they are both under the same dev. |
Yeah, I was going to say "same dev, so it's understandable" when I read "Cytus" and then I finished reading your post. :P
I have four rhythm games installed on my phone at the moment (Deemo, Cytus, Dynamix, and SB69) and I've tried several others (way too many of them suck, crash, or haven't been updated in years). Skill-wise, I'm best at Deemo, but I haven't played it very much since I finished the story mode because SB69 has been taking up the time I used to spend on Deemo. If you want to count non-phone rhythm games, then my skill is probably DDR-with-keyboard > Deemo > DDR-with-feet > SB69 > Beatmania > Dynamix > Cytus. I'm not sure why I'm better at Dynamix than Cytus when Dynamix has so much more going on than Cytus does, but maybe it's just a UI thing and I can read Dynamix better. I've played a lot of other rhythm games. Taiko Drum Master is fun but I can't seem to coordinate myself well enough for it. Para Para Paradise is *really* fun but it's stupidly hard to find a place to play it so I can't rank my skill at it. |
DK's skills are in the Hatsune Miku games and Patapon o3o
|
I got really cranky last night because the Mystery Tour event ended at 10PM. I REALLY needed a good green SR/SSR bromide but I didn't even get a chance to put in an entry into the high score challenge and I was WAY short of getting the card from the point challenge. That was just on top of having a really crappy weekend. x.x
|
I didn't even get to play, i had to wait for someone to release the update for download ._., i wish QooApp wouldn't cause my google stuff to go wonky on my kindle =o=
|
I figured out where that code goes, because I got one of them myself.
It's not a SB69 code. It's a code for the game that SB69 is having a collab with, "Pocket Land" or something like that. |
not downloading another game =o=
|
I don't have a problem with downloading other games, but I'm not going to download one just because of a collab event. :P
|
dk has sushi cat, 2 pads, SB69 on her kindle =w= OH! and the hunterxhunter mobile game ouo
|
We need moRE SB69 friends XD
sorry for the double post but i needed to squee and bounce around over getting the xmas cards.. at least half of them. THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE TO ME! It has Crow on it.. Dressed as SANTA! so cute x3 Oh! And my first UR card : She has a Leader Skill that boosts up scores =) When you use her for the skill based event concerts (I don't wanna call them dungeons XD) her skill for score up activates. =) It's interesting seeing her pop up before the skill boost thing that was bought xD |
There's actually two different bonuses there.
Using an event bromide in an event performance (the game calls it a ライブ but that's usually translated as "concert" or "performance" or "show") grants you an extra bonus IN ADDITION to their skills -- they don't even have to be your leader for that to happen. I had both Halloween Mix and Halloween Rix in my party during the Halloween event and was getting TWO bonuses. |
My UR is an event card?? O-O
|
Let's make sure we're on the same page: I assume you're talking about having the bromide icon show up in a white starburst in the middle of the screen when the concert starts, rather than the speech bubble that calls out a skill name.
|
I have the speech bubble disabled o3o
o3o she pops up before the concert. But as far as i know she's not an event card. it's in her one skill that she's a score up card |
Her skill doubles point values during fever mode. I've got a UR that does that too, and it just gives the little speech bubble, not the big white starburst.
She's either an event card, or the event specifically marks her as being special. If you take her into a Tour concert instead of an event, you won't see it. |
i'm doing the point event for the event cards and it doesn't happen there, just in the Score event.
.. o3o she's useful for you so go crazy in the score songs of the event! |
OMG so not fair! D8<
I got into a chance thing, and music, bubbles.. NOTHING started and it just said it was over and i lost.. wtf! D:< |
Randomly decided to try the game again, and apparently it's been several major revisions since I last played. ^^() But there's a new feature -- daily missions!
