"Sounds like a good idea, and I will explain a bit more of myself to you since you're helping us out so much." Hearing a jingle from something like dishes being offset Isaac looks behind him after picking Amelia up in his arms. "And it seems like Faye would like a drink, can one of you two get her a bowl to drink out of? I think a cup would be a bit small, they are in the cabinet that's my height near the cold box." Carefully he makes his way to Amelia's room, not wanting to be rude and take of her clothes and instead just take off her dress and shoes, leaving the slip and petticoat on, then pulls the blanket over her.
When he returns he gets himself settled on a seat near Faye so that he can pet her head since she seems to enjoy the attention. He takes a deep breath before looking to Alice and Arden, "There's some things I need to tell you two that I'd prefer if you didn't tell anyone, just because I don't want anyone's sympathy and its not really others' business to know anyways. Normally there is a place vampires meet up to discuss things and make small talk while getting 'food'. I've never been to these, nor do I ever plan to because, as I've already mentioned, I was turned against my will but was also ripped from my family because the vampire that turned me killed them. Then I was basically her plaything for a long time, I didn't know how much time passed during that time, but discovered later on it had been about fifty years before I was able to trick my master and consume her. Once I had done that I had knowledge of powers far beyond some of the most renown vampires, such as Dracula. If anything, Dracula was like a baby brother to my master, both in age and power. But I also was able to learn where she kept her fortunes that she had massed over the years, the only reason why this house is this size is because of Faye, I wanted to make sure she had plenty of room that she could grow and plenty of places to explore. If it wasn't for Faye I would be living in a smaller home, but what I do myself is publish medical journals for things I've learned and discovered over the years. I'll be five hundred in a couple years, not that it matters anymore since I don't celebrate my birthday anymore, not since I was turned." |
Arden went to get the bowl since he really didn't want to be alone with Faye, he didn't know what to say to her at the moment and thought she wanted someone to talk to her. It wasn't long before he came back and poured the water into the bowl and sat it down. "I wonder if I was just as pathetic looking when I was turned." He thought to himself out loud. He didn't mean to insult her if she took it that way, but she just looked so unhappy being a wolf, just like he was. His world was turned upside down since the day his ex-love came into his life. Though he might have loved her, it didn't compare to the love he felt for his mate, his one and only true mate. He loved his girlfriend when he was human, she was very nice but that didn't mean she was his true mate, he was human so he really didn't have one. "Faye, I will tell you this once, and only once. If you come across someone who you think may possibly be your mate, don't hesitate to follow that. But you will know for sure who's your mate and who's not. When you're with your mate, it's such an indescribable feeling. I have never met anyone who had a second mate, even if the first one died, so cherish every moment you have with that person as if it will be your last." He told her which made Alice tear up because he wasn't the type to really talk about that sort of thing. Faye barked show that she was listening to him and then went back to drinking until the water was gone. Alice poured more just in case she wanted more.
They listened to his story and horror appeared on both of their faces as they might have realized who he was talking about. "W-what was her name if you don't mind us asking. S-she isn't the one known to kill us wolves, is she?" Alice questioned with slight fear in her voice. She held tightly onto Arden as tears began to well up in her eyes. "It's ok dear." He comforted her. "So that's what happened to her. Good, now she can't hurt us again. My family has finally been avenged. And to think, a newborn outwitted her." She found solace in that fact. |
"I wouldn't celebrate just yet, there's a chance she could come back, a prospect I'm not happy with. If I let my anger get the better of me and go into a rage she'll take her chance and consume me." His eyes glow red as he becomes angry at the thought, "I've been doing research to see if there's a way to completely seal her, but thus far I have failed. And I wouldn't even think of asking other vampires, I would think consuming your master is not something they shake your hand for if you get my meaning. That woman you saw when your son tried to take Faye was her, and I suspect that the first thing she'll do if she does come back is try to kill your pack. I figured it was better to warn you, but I also don't want you to think I intend you harm. If anything I'd rather avoid conflict even if it is inconvenient for myself as Faye can tell you. Well, when she can anyways." More relaxed now his eyes turn back to their normal silver color as he lays down on the bench, staring up at the moon.
"All I ever wanted to was lead a peaceful life helping people, but we can't always have what we want sadly." Suddenly he sits up, cough a few times, then looks at the ground with a confused expression. "That's never happened before, I didn't think vampires could get sick, or maybe I'm not used to drinking mixed blood or Amelia might be sick? This is bazaar..." |
Faye felt her heart throb at his story even though she had heard it before. he just wished there was something she could do. She yawned and rested her head on his lap as he sat down on the bench. She wanted his attention and was going to get it
Alice squeezed his shoulder gently. "What about going to see a witch? Can they not help? Sure you will have to pay a price but if it's to seal her away would it not be worth it? It's just a suggestion though." She felt sorry for Isaac, she could see the pain in his eyes even when they weren't glowing red. "If anything happens to you, we will take Faye in, show her the pack life. And we will have to make sure she never smells like a vampire, they will not take too kindly to that." She stated as she rubbed Faye's head. "But like I said, maybe a witch could help. At least go to talk to one." Faye jumped up to Isaac's side as he cough. Never in her life had she ever heard him cough. Looking up at him, she whined as she placed a paw on him to comfort herself more so than him since she was really worried about him. he really hoped that it was because of her blood since she didn't want Amelia to be sick, which was the other option. She felt a knife stab her in the chest straight to the heart because it pained her to think that he wouldn't be able to rink her blood anymore unless there was another eason he just didn't mention. |
"I'm alright Faye, it was just a cough. And no, I haven't spoken to a witch, I actually haven't the slightest clue where to find one to be honest. It's not like I know many people to talk to about such matters, I've always just hid as much as possible. And I was lucky getting silver eyes when I turned, gold are red eyes are hard to hid when trying to blend in." He had not thought about asking a witch back when he first consumed Lilith, he didn't realize she could return until much later on down the road, when all the witches she knew were dead.
He begins scratching Faye behind her ears, finding it very soothing to do. Now that he thinks about it, when he was a kid he did want a dog at one point, but his family couldn't afford it obviously. It's not like his family did much hunting unless they needed food during the winter. |
Faye stared at Isaac as he said that he would be ok. She wasn't too sure about that but hoped that what he had said was true. She didn't want anything to happen to him because she just loved him so much, he had taken care of her all this time, if anything happened to him she would have no family left. Alice and Arden seem nice but she didn't want to have to constantly be in fear if the others find out that she was also a vampire. She loved being here because she didn't have to hide either side and being a fledgling, it would be even more difficult to hide.
"I know where you can find a witch. There's a coven of witches nearby. They usually pass themselves off as fortune tellers or something like that. So if you go to one, just let them know that you know the are a witch. They may deny it at first, but usually they will tell you." Alice explained. "In fact, I can introduce you to one." She offered. Faye began to kick her hind leg as Issac began to scratch her behind her ear. The second she realized what she was doing, she tried to stop but couldn't until Isaac stopped. It just felt really good but she was utterly embarrassed. |
Thinking for a moment to himself while scratch Faye's ears, he figures that having Alice with him would be better. He nods his head in agreement, "That would probably be best since you know who they are and they know you. It would be awkward for someone who has lived here for a few years to suddenly begin talking to one of the witches out of the blue." Looking at the moon he looses himself in thought for a while, enjoying the white light that it reflects onto their world.
Getting up he smiles at his guests, "I have a bit of a present for you two, give me a moment and I'll be able to present it to you." Heading back into the house he makes his way to the cellar where his lab is, opening the secret door to his chamber. There's a large trunk near his coffin that he goes over to, unlocking it and opening it, dust falling off of it. Reaching in he pulls out a violin case of a very old, but well taken care of violin. Then he heads back upstairs to the garden, setting down and opening the case to reveal the chestnut furnished violin. He hadn't played it in years, the instrument Lilith had forced him to learn in order to play for her, but he wanted no more bad memories attached to it, so now was probably the best time to do that. A bit rusty at first, then he picks up his old skill, playing different songs that when he had learned were not originally on the violin. Most of it was soothing Celtic inspired songs, of the forest and life. |
Alice and Arden looked at one another as they pondered on what the gift could have been. They had only met but was it customary for vampires to do that? They never met one before and Alice mostly, felt awkward for not have bringing a gift with her.
As Isaac came back with some strange device, though Arden knew what it was, Alice smiled at the lovely sounds. She listened intently as he played so beautifully. Faye had her ears perked up as she watched him play. Was that the reason he was intent on her playing the piano? So they could play together? She would never be as good as him, granted he had lived for hundreds of years but still. She jut continued to find out more and more about him that made her realize just how different and far apart they truly were. There was pain shooting all throughout her heart like someone had stabbed her over and over. What was this pain? Why was she hurting? Once he was done, the two clapped. "Wonderful! What is that? I never seen anything like that before!" She told him. "But I guess that's too be expected since I never really left the pack. This is the first in such a long time that I actually came to a human town. Most things I know about humans are what was said around the pack and from Arden. We usually stick to ourselves." She explained. "But that was beautiful!" |
"Thank you, this is a violin, an instrument for making music that humans use. My master loved music and it was one of the things she made me learn while under her control. I haven't payed in a good two hundred years, mostly because it brought on painful memories. But I don't want those memories to control me anymore, so I wanted to make some happy ones with it. Now is as good a time as any though. I'll play some more songs like that, they are very soothing to me, why I don't know. Maybe I should compose music instead of doing medical research." He laughs as he begins playing another song, playing well into the night until the sky begins to lighten, foretelling the coming sun.
"I think now me and Faye should head to bed." He bids his guests farewell, not wanting to keep them any longer from their pack. |
Alice and Arden bowed to Isaac before finally leaving and going back home. Faye yawned. Her body then began to crack painfully loud as it moved and bent unnaturally until she was reconstructed into a human. She wrapped her arms around herself from the pain. Tears streaming on down her cheek as she cried. She tried to stand up but every time she did, her body would shake and fall back to the floor. She was in too much pain and felt too weak to get up and walk to her bedroom. She just gave up and laid down where she was. She was shivering from the cold and just wanted to go inside. "Isaac, h-help me please." She said softly, her voice was shaky and scratchy. As the wind began to blow, she picked up a scent that smell familiar. She couldn't tell who it was but she felt like she knew this person. "Isaac, someone I know is out there!" Somehow that gave her the strength to talk a bit better. Her ears were perked up as she looked out to the forest. Her eyes widen as she looked like she had just seen a ghost from the past. It looked like an older version of her brother but when she blink he was gone along with his scent which really disappointed her. But how could it have been her younger brother when he died so many years ago?
|
Hurriedly Isaac takes off his jacket and wraps Faye in it, picking her up and holding her to his body to try and keep her warm. "Someone in the woods? I highly doubt it was Amelia...maybe it was the one who turned you or one of his friends? You might not remember it but they did try to take you back to their village after Arden and Alice's son bite you. I actually can't tell much different between werewolves, my nose is not as good as their's, but I can you many things about a human by the smell of their blood."
"So I was right in thinking you vanished because you could tell I was pregnant before anyone else knew." Amelia had risen early to prepare to leave, shaking her head when she sees the conditions Faye is in. "Well, don't just stand there, get that girl inside before she gets whatever werewolves and vampires get for a cold!" She heads back in, making herself breakfast and cleaning up the mess from the night before. |
Faye shook her head. "No, it's not any of them." She told him in her soft voice. "Just forget about it." She knew that what she was was an older version of her brother, it couldn't have been anyone else. "It feels good to be human though." She smiled. Faye could hear and smell Amelia coming before she even arrived so she wasn't one bit surprised that she was here. "Thank you for looking out for me but I don't think I can get colds anymore Amelia." She gave her a warm smile. She was feeling like her family was growing. Amelia seems like a grandmother and Arden and Alice seem like parents she never had before and Isaac...He was...someone special. Though she didn't know what part of the family he was in, whether it was a brother or uncle, she didn't know but he didn't feel like a brother or an uncle, he felt like something more. His scent was intoxicating, she loved being in his arms even if she was naked in his arms with only his jacket around her. he continued to smell his scent as it enveloped her. Her head moved closer and closer to his neck before opening up wide to bite down only to stop a split second before finally chomping down on him. Terror welled up in her eyes as she moved from his neck and covered her nose. "S-so um, Isaac..I-is that why you want me to play the piano? So we can play together or because your master forced you now you're forcing me?" She asked trying to get her mind off of what was about to happen. She knew that it wasn't her vampire side wanting to feed. That was something with her wolf wanting to bite and why, she didn't know.
|
He thinks to himself for a moment as he carries her down into the cellar where his lab is. Isaac doesn't mind her nuzzling against him, feeling her breath on him. For some reason he wanted her to bite him, but he was completely confused as to why, but didn't say anything about that. Going over to the bench he sets her down on the bench, "Faye, music is supposed to be something for people to enjoy, not have nightmares about. I want to bring happiness to the idea of playing a violin, so why not have someone be my partner to enjoy playing music with? That is the best way to chase away one's nightmares, have someone there by your side." Brushing a lock of hair behind her ear, he takes the end in his hands and gently rubs them together before heading back upstairs.
"I'm going to get you night clothes to change into along with some blankets and pillows. If you want my coffin you may use it, I can always sleep on the floor. Or the bench out here if you'd rather be by yourself." |
Faye looked up at Isaac. A part of her could feel his wanting of her to bite down but he probably thought that she just needed to be fed, even though she didn't feel hungry, or well thirsty. "I will love to play with you. So then I promise to learn how to play the piano just for you. I don't want you to play alone anymore." She really didn't think she could play and even if she did, she didn't think she could play not even a quarter as good as Isaac. He lived for centuries to practice, shes only been at it for a few months now. All she would be doing was making his beautiful playing turn bad if she joined in with him. "Isaac, Do you really think that I will even be able to play? I'm on the farthest side of being good while you're on the complete opposite side. I will never be able to catch up to you, I will just be bringing you down and everyone will know it." She told him.
She looked around the lab and thought it looked rather weird. She had never been down here, she was always told not to come down and he always looked scary whenever he would tell her that so she would never disobey him on that. "How about we sleep together? You always had to sleep in my bed when I got scared, I never got to sleep in yours, so now's my chance. And I feel like I'm living some sort of nightmare so you have to lay in there with me." She pointed out with a soft smile on her face. She looked very tired, her eyes looked heavy as though she could fall asleep at any second now. |
He returns with some nightclothes for her, and some blankets and pillows piled in his arms. He smiles when he hands her the nightclothes, "I'll just play along with the songs are are confident at playing, no need to stress yourself out with how skillful you are. It will come in time, something we have plenty of now." He puts some of the pillows down on the bench and pulls on the lamp next to the bench. One of the bookshelves swings open towards them, showing that the stone wall was not as thick there and can be walked through.
"As for sleeping together, that might be a bit hard because my coffin is only big enough for one person. I can sleeping on the floor next to you. I'll work on something for you tomorrow so that you can sleep once we've spoken with a witch. I'd feel better if we did since I don't want Lilith to come back." In the room was a simple work desk, another bookshelf, an old trunk, and the simple wooden coffin. The inside of the coffin however was cushioned and had velvet lining. |
Faye put on her clothing and ended up ripping a hole big enough for her tail to let it out. She made sure that the hole was big enough for her tail to slip through and for it to be comfortable. "But, you're so good, you won't mess up and make a mockery of it. That's what everyone would think when they would hear me play, that I'm just making a mockery out of the song, the instrument, everything if anyone ever heard e play. I will never get up to your standards." She told Isaac. There really wasn't much for her to do except practice. "And now I will have to sleep during the day, right? Or does that not matter? She asked him hoping it really didn't matter because she wanted to stay up during the day, not at night. "So do I have to stay up all night now and sleep during the day?" She asked him. She stood up and walked over to the bench. "You can sleep in your coffin, I will sleep here ok?" She smiled up at him as she took his place on the bench.
Faye began thinking about all sorts of different things. he thought about the image she thought she saw of her brother and wondered if it was actually real or if it was a figment of her imagination. Sure her brother was dead but it all just seemed so real. Or could it be that he just looked and smelled like him. Even as a human child she could smell this certain smell that always came off on him that was very light and hardly noticeable. he smelled it again when she saw that man so maybe they just look like and smell alike. Would that even be possible? "Isaac, I'm really bothered by that person I saw in the woods who looked like an older version of my brother. He was a wolf, he had the ears like me...what if that was more than just my imagination?" She asked Isaac. |
Isaac pats her affectionately on the head, smiling at her, "As they say, practice makes perfect. And if anything people will probably think its adorable that you want to play the piano with me even if you're not as good at first. As for the sleeping during the day, you have to get at least six hours of sleep underground like this or else you'll be exhausted by the time night comes. That's how much I was able to without and still function as a vampire, so I suspect you need at least that as a mix of the two." He motions for her to get up, then grabs the bench and moves it so that its next to the coffin, knowing this would make Faye feel better than if she were to sleep out in the lab. Arranging the pillows and blanket for her he thinks about what she says.
"Didn't you say before that you're brother and you were attacked by a wolf? There is a chance that the wolf in question was a werewolf. However, since I have no idea what your brother looked like, nor what the wolf looked like, I cannot say for certain if that is indeed the case. Now come on, I'll set up some familiars in case they approach the house. If they want to come see us it would be better if we were both awake, but rested." He climbs into the coffin and then pats the bench next to it, indicating he wanted her to sleep. Once she's settled he grabs her hand to comfort her and closes the lid and has it just open enough for his hand to stick out. |
Faye laid down on the bench and wrapped her hand tightly around Isaac's as she stared up at the ceiling. She had a hard time wrapping her mind around the fact that her brother could be alive. She kept thinking about everything that Isaac had told her and she knew now there was an actual possibility that he could be alive and waiting for a reunion. She had to find her brother sometime when she woke up if that was truly him Or what if it was just a figment of her imagination because she was overly tired and her newly turned mind was playing tricks on her. Not wanting to think about this anymore she tried her best to sleep. The second she fell asleep, she started having the worse nightmare she had ever had to date. Her family was attacked by some monster that turned out to be her as she got a better look at it and as she screamed and ran away, she continued to run as fast as she could through the forest where she was greeted with the scene from her childhood that had changed her life forever. Her brother was being attacked by a large black wolf and as she slowly approached, the wolf turned into her. Screaming, she ran away yet again and felt a pang of guilt deep within her for leaving her brother once again. Taking in a deep breath, she went running to him. "I will save you this time, I promise!" She cried but as she got to the scene, there was no one there. Faye dropped to the ground and began to cry and scream. "Brother, please forgive me. Please forgive me!" She yelled out to him hoping that he would be able to hear her.
Outside of her dream, Faye didn't look happy. She screamed out in real life every time she did in her dream and talked whenever she talked in her dream. Tears wouldn't stop flowing from her eyes. She looked like an emotional wreck. She continued to whisper different things but it was all different forms of sorry towards her brother and even her parents. |
Startled awake by her crying out from her nightmares, Isaac silently opens the lid to his coffin and stands up, still holding her hand. Sighing because he can't do much to help her he carefully lifts her, trying not to wake her, and lays her down in the coffin. He wiggles himself in next to her so that he's holding her, it is a bit tight of a fit though. Once settled in he closes the lid and holds her to him, but with her being so close he can't help but enjoy her smell. It takes a lot of effort on his part to resist drinking her blood, his fangs noticeable.
Very gently and very softly, he sings her a lullaby, the one he's sang to her over the years. It was actually the same song he used to sing to his little sister when she had trouble sleeping as a child. Normally the lullaby helped Faye sleep, but it seems that the one that smells like and looks like her brother would need to be found since it triggered this it seems. So now they would have to do two things tomorrow, one of which probably while Faye was in her wolf form if tomorrow is any indication. |
Faye calmed as she was in Isaac's arms while he sang a lullaby to her as she continued to sleep. He nightmare was then calming down and slowly but surely he dreams became more and more soothing and happy. She had a faint smile on her face as she stayed close to Isaac for the rest of the time she was asleep. Finally waking up a few hours later, she went to sit up but hit her head on the coffin. "Ow..." She rubbed her head and then noticed that she was laying inside the coffin with Isaac. Her nightmare came to the forefront of her mind. "Did I worry you?" She whispered as she looked at him with a smile on her face. "Thank you." She kissed his forehead. Opening up the coffin, she got up and stretched. "Isaac, I'm thirsty." She told him. Her eyes were turning red as she became hypnotic as she stared at his neck. There was something pulling her to him as she lowered herself back down and bit into his neck. She couldn't stop herself, she wanted all of his delicious blood. She wanted him, all of him.
|
At some point Isaac had fallen asleep while singing to Faye, bring tired himself and needing the sleep. When Faye awakens Isaac is still asleep, a bit early for him to be getting up unless knowing he had to keep an eye on Faye, which since they were supposed to have the same sleep schedule she should have been sleeping still to him. So he doesn't even stir when she gets out, not being able to hear her in his slumbers.
When Faye bites him and begins drinking from him his face flushes as he shivers from pleasure. Sleepily he opens his eyes, not being completely awake yet, and gently pulls her closer to him, holding her in his arms. He shivers more as his body feels like its on fire, his eyes glittering like rubies. Making a sound that's almost a low growl he rolls her into the coffin with him so that she's underneath and he's knelled over her. Isaac leans into her neck, taking in her scent, "My Faye" he mumbles in a very low whisper, almost not audible. Then he bites into her neck, one hand traveling down to her thigh as he caresses it absent mindedly. |
Faye began moaning in pleasure as Isaac bit into her neck which made her able to stop drinking his blood. It snapped her mind out of that bloodlust state only for her to be intoxicated by different emotions and a certain type of pheromones that they were producing together. She didn't want this to end, she wanted to stay with him, in his arms like this for the rest of her forever life. Even as he placed a hand on her thigh, it just increased everything. But she head a crash coming somewhere in their home which brought her mind back to reality and realized where his hand was. She became overwhelmed with fear as she opened the coffin and jumped out. Her breathing was erratic. "Isaac! W-what was that?!" She asked with fear in her eyes. The question was meant for what they were doing and what that crash sound was. Her ears twitched as she heard someone call out her name. "Someone's in the house looking for me I think." She told Isaac. It made her curious as to who the person was but then the thought of her brother popped into her mind and she was so hoping that it could have been him. "What if it's my brother?! What if he's come to meet me finally?!" Her eyes widen with excitement.
Tristan came bursting through to the lab after following her scent down here. He could smell the love pheromones all over. 'You dare touch my mate you tick?!" He yelled at Isaac. Disappointment was apparent on her face that this wasn't her brother but anger consumed her as she heard him call Isaac a tick. Her eyes turned golden as she growled at him. "What do you know?! You're more of a tick than he is! You're latching onto me like we are mates! The only thing you are to me is the creature who ruin my life! Because of you, I turn into a hairy beast at night! Because of you, I can't eat like a human at night! I have lost all of my independence at night because of YOU! I want NOTHING to do with you! Isaac...Isaac means so much more to me than you will ever know! He is my EVERYTHING and my only family. You are not allowed to come along and take that away from me!" She yelled at him with o much anger and passion, tears were streaming down her face. |
"Hm...?" His eyes return to their normal silver color as his mind becomes less clouded by fog. Realizing what he was doing he turns crimson, jumping to the opposite side of the coffin and closing its lid neatly.
"I'm terrible sorry, I have no idea what came over me," then he hears the commotion in the lab and sighs. He face is blank for the most part when Tristan enters, doing his best to suppress his annoyance at the young werewolf. Though he is a bit shocked by Faye's statement, placing a hand on her shoulder to try and calm her down. "Well, there's one good thing that came out of all of this, I don't need to hide who I am from you anymore. And because of that I'm just glad you don't see me as some kind of monster like most human probably would have." Smiling contently, he can't help but be glad that Faye would defend him so much. "And I must admit, even if I was still clouded by sleep I shouldn't have done that. I'll have to set up a separate place for you to sleep, it would be inappropriate for us to share the same sleeping space after all." Isaac didn't want Faye to feel like she was bond to him just because they've known each other for most of her life. If Tristan was really her mate he'd rather start isolating himself than make her suffer from thinking she's betraying her love for him. |
Pain and hurt appeared onto her face as she stared at Isaac confusingly as he talked about separating where they slept. W-what? B-but...I-I don't want to! I want to be able to sleep next to you! I don't mind what you did." She told him as her face turned dark red. There was a pain in her chest at the thought of him trying to back away from her. Was he seriously going to let this dog take her? "Isaac, why aren't you throwing him out? I don't want him here! He was the one who turned me into this! I mean, I love that I know about you now but, I don't like being this creature. I don't have a species to belong to!" She cried. She just felt him pulling away from her. She thought that he was going to force her onto Tristan which wasn't what she wanted. Faye didn't want to leave Isaac, she loved him and wanted to play with him on the piano while he played the violin. Did he honestly think that Tristan was her mate? "Isaac, we need to talk, alone." She glared at Tristan who had a smug face thinking that Isaac would back off but seeing her look upset made him even more happy thinking that it was towards that tick. "I will be in the living room. I'm not leaving until you come with me back to my pack." He warned then left the room.
Looking back at Isaac, she had tears coming from her eyes. "Isaac, why do I feel like you're trying to pull back from me? Now that we can be a part of each other's worlds, or well, more like I'm a part of your world, you just want to pull back and separate. Why is it inappropriate for us to share the same space? Or...do you think it was inappropriate to touch my thigh because I'm just a child in your eyes?" Even though Isaac only said that they weren't going to share sleeping space anymore, she could feel that this was only the tip and that he was planning on pulling away. She couldn't explain why she thought that but she was afraid that this feeling would become true. She stared at him with golden eyes as she subconsciously sent out signals of desire and want for him. |
Seeing her reaction to what he said makes his heart ache, but he wanted her to be happy even if it meant he had to be alone again. But he can't bring himself to look at her, or else he'd break down crying, "I don't want to tie you to me Faye, your life is your own and you should find the person who truly makes you happy. There's still so much more to the world to see then what I can give you, for I'm bound to the darkness of night while you can still walk in the light without too much trouble. Only someone who can always be by your side can make you happy, not someone like myself. I know you're upset, but I don't want you to misunderstand feels you have for me. We both love each other very much, but we've only had each other, and I don't want you to think later on down the road that it was a mistake to be with me." The pain is so much saying all of that it takes all of his will not to double over holding his chest, crying out to her. He's suppressing his emotions in order to do this, even if it breaks his heart.
|
Faye growled lowly at Isaac as she heard him spew utter nonsense. Raising up her hand, she slapped him hard across his face as she put a lot of force behind it. "You even lack the courage to stare me in the eyes as you say this! You're no man. If you want me gone, fine. I will leave. You will never have to see me again. You will never have to deal with me. I guess you really saw me as nothing but a dog now. I bet you couldn't wait for Tristan to come to try and take me away. You should have let him that night." She glared angrily at him as her eyes went daggers at him. Yet despite all the venom in her voice, there was no hint of hate in them, just pain and sorrow.
Tristan could hear raised voices and slowly made his way. When Faye saw him, she smiled at him and walked over to him. "Let's go. It seems I'm not wanted here. I just hope your pack likes me. If the don't, I will have no one." That's what made her almost loose her cool as she walked with Tristan out of the house she once called home. She felt sick to her stomach as she left. Her whole world came crashing down. Everything was changing so fast, she was just so scared and the one person she thought she could lean on had nothing to do with her. After leaving and getting deep into the woods, the wolf was really wanting her. He began to kiss her which made her feel disgusted and when he kissed the spot Isaac had bitten her, she slapped him hard. Tristan growled. "What was that for?!" He yelled at her. "You can't touch me! I said I would go with you, not do...this with you! I will never think of you as anything more than the one who ruined my life. You basically killed me. What's the point in me living now that I'm nothing but a hate monster even with vampires and werewolves. You're sickening me, leave me alone I'm not going to live with you." he told him rolling her eyes. She went to walk away but Tristan grabbed her wrist. "I want you. I will have you!" Getting angered at his words, she went to attack him. Faye wouldn't stop hitting him until he was black and blue all over and she was finally satisfied. With that, she ran away as fast as she could so that she could get away from him. She was in no mood to be with anyone. Seeing a cave behind a waterfall after stopping at a lake, she thought that it would be a good place to hide so that no one would be able to smell her scent and track her. It wasn't until she made it over and actually stopped to think about everything did she break down and cried silently as she was drenched from the water. Faye had no one, she had nothing and didn't know how to control herself. She didn't know how to control her emotions or worse yet, her thirst. |
Isaac took the slap Faye gave him, knowing full well that he had hurt her, but he didn't deserve to tie her down. He just hopes that someday she'll realize this was probably for the best since he'd only prevent her from fully enjoying life. Walking backwards until he hits the wall, he holds his chest in pain. Sliding down until he's sitting he hangs his head in shame for causing her pain, crying while the pain in his chest spreads.
"My, my, you're such a weak thing, letting a mere child get to you like that. Now if only you're suffering would increase, then you'd be all mine." Lilith stands over him, a wicked smirk on her face. His eyes glare red at her as he struggles to stand. "I have to contact Arden and Alice, I need to see a witch..." Lilith laughs maniacally at him, her smirk having a taunting twitch to it. "Do you really think a witch can help? You'll be nothing but a thing for them to study." Ignoring her he sends a familiar, having trouble just trying to stand. He stumbles, leaning against the wall as he walks towards the lab to head upstairs, still clutching at his pain filled chest. His breathing becoming labored, and his fangs extending in thirst, a thirst he's never known before. "What's happening? I feel like I'm withering away..." "Being drained is more like it." Lilith smiles wickedly at him, obviously finding another emotion she can use to drain him of power. Despair. |
Arden and Alice were already on there way when the familiar came. In fact, they were already bursting through the do making sure that their son was about to do anything stupid. They made it to the lab and saw a woman smiling. They could tell that she was draining him of his power. Something must have happened to make him feel depressed. "Isaac, you need to fight her! Here. Drink, you need blood and right now, it's either me or Arden." She offered as she gave him her wrist so that he could get his strength back to deal with Lilith. She didn't know what else to do to help him and felt rather helpless. Arden didn't look too please about having his wife offer up her blood but didn't tell her not to because he could tell Isaac really needed the help. Even if he didn't die without her help, he might be capable of killing humans which would be bad for everyone, werewolves and vampire alike.
Faye meanwhile continued to cry and go into a downward spiral of having no on in her life that she could rely on. There was no way she would ever go anywhere around Tristan or his parents because of Tristan. he wanted to be left alone. She then began to go through the process of turning. It was painful still but it was even more so, or so it seemed, because of her emotional state that forced her to turn in the first place. But once she did finally turn, she just laid there. Then, a familiar scent entered her nose and the man from early this morning appeared in front of her. Her eyes widen as she just stared at him. Was this truly her brother? Her excitement soon ended as he lifted her up with an angered look on his face and began to beat her. "I will make you suffer for leaving me to die!" He yelled at her. he continued to beat her senseless and even chocked her until she blacked out and proceeded to through her into the water. |
Weakly he grabs hold of her arm, barely biting down enough to drink from her. At first he drinks very little, being very weak, but slowly drinks a bit more until he's strong enough to stand on his own. Releasing her, he gives her wrist a quick lick to help start the healing process. Lilith hisses in annoyance, but disappears for the time being.
"Thank you, sorry for causing such trouble for you two. Tristan was hear earlier, as you can probably tell. But there was another wolf that we saw last night, and I'm not sure if he's from your pack. Faye thought it might have been her brother. They had been attacked as a child by a wolf, but we don't know anything about that wolf so we don't know if it was a werewolf or not." Suddenly his eyes glow red like a raging fire, smelling something but not sure what it is. "Faye! Somethings is wrong, I have to find her!" Adrenaline rushes through his body has the thing he's smelling is driving him crazy. He doesn't know what it is but he feels he has to get to Faye. In his frenzy he pushes past Arden and Alice, not seeing them anymore as he goes crazy looking for Faye, running off into the woods as he follows the scent, realizing that he's smelling her blood but not sure why its driving him crazy. |
Alice and Arden looked at one another as they could sense that something was wrong. "Our son didn't do anything did he? He didn't hurt her did he?" Alice questioned as she was getting really scared that he had done something stupid. "W-we noticed t-that h-he was gone l-less than a-an hour a-ago and r-rushed a-around looking for h-him until w-we decided to c-come here and c-check." Alice told Isaac. Her voice was rather weak sounding and her body was shaking from the blood loss. Her voice was even shaky as she wasn't used to having her blood being sucked by a vampire. "No, you're not causing us any trouble at all. It's ou son who caused this whole mess. Now that he bit her, his feelings for her might be even stronger because that causes a bond between the maker and the bitten. But I just feel like that's all it is. I just feel like they aren't mates but maybe I just don't want to accept it. Maybe it's just my way o dealing with Tristan growing up. I don't know." She sighed as she leaned into her mate for comfort.
"What? Faye's gone? Why is she gone? You two just seem so close. If anything, I would have thought that you two were...well never mind that. We can track her by scent if you want." She offered. "Maybe she's with Tristan and we can find both of them." She suggested. But they could tell just how worried he was, he seemed like he was only paying attention to her blood and nothing else. It worried them that something happened to her. If she had died, their son would be devastated. She wondered what he would do if that happened. They were rather shocked that he could smell her blood though, they could barely smell it and that was only when Isaac had brought attention to it. Maybe it was because of him being a vampire? Yeah, that had to be it. "Come on, let's help him find Faye, I'm getting a bad feeling about this." he told Arden and then ushered him out of the house. "Come on Isaac, we are going to go find her." |
Running through the woods like a mad man, he's oblivious to what Arden and Alice are saying, he's only concerted abut finding Faye. Soon he smells another scent, Tristan's as he draws near where him and Faye had separated.
"Faye! Faye! Where are you!? Please answer me!" He continues running through the woods, not really paying any attention to where he's going, just searching like crazy for where Faye is. Her blood's smell is getting stronger as he goes, making his eyes glow crimson with anger since this much blood could only mean that Faye is hurt pretty badly. And that was making him go insane while looking for her, yelling out her name like a mad man. |
Arden had to help Alice run since she was feeling woozy but it wasn't too long before she finally regained her strength back. Isaac didn't take a lot so it was much easier for her to recover. As they got closer to where Faye was, they could smell Faye's scent and another's scent but who, they didn't know. That was making them think that the person that Faye saw last night could have been the one who did this. Once they were at the lake, Faye's scent stopped along with that other person's scent. They could only mean one thing, she was in the water. Arden forced Isaac to stop. "Look, there's blood in that water. Faye's in the water. Wait here, I will get her." He told Isaac feeling as though it would be dangerous for Isaac to go down there, though he wasn't even sure if he had heard him, the vampire was going crazy. But still, he rushed into the water where her blood was and dove down deep into the water until he was able to spot her. He could feel himself needing to breathe but he continued until he could grab her and then swan as fast as he could to the surface. Once he made it up there, he began to breathe heavily as he swam her back up to land. He laid her down on the ground and waited for her to wake up. Looking back through to the waterfall, he tried to look into the cave that he had noticed when he dove in. He thought that he saw someone in there but now, he couldn't tell. It just looked like a pitch black opening.
There was blood coming from Faye's head. Alice immediately started rushing around to gather plants and other things that would help her. Living out in the woods all of their lives, they knew exactly what to do in cases like this. Though as far as her being underwater, that was another story all together. It didn't take her long before she finally was able to gather everything she needed and went to work right away to help fix up the wound on her. "This will help clot the blood to make it stop as I clean her wounds." She told Isaac in case he was wondering what she was doing, if he was even paying attention. "This will keep infections from forming. And this will be her bandage. But with her head that damaged, I don't know how she will recover. She could possibly loose her memories. She cold loose all of her cognitive functions...Or she may never wake up. But I don't know, I have never studied head trauma. I just treat wounds. Oh! and make her eat these plants, it will keep the pain down, when she wakes up that is." She had gathered a lot of things so that Isaac could take care of her on his own. |
When Isaac reaches the cave with the waterfall he looks around frantically for Faye, knowing she's there but not sure where. So obsessed is he with finding Faye he doesn't hear about the water, since it obstructs her scent. When he sees Arden pulling her out of the water he hurries over and helps get her ashore, holding her hand as he cries. If only he hadn't of said anything to her, then this wouldn't have happened.
As he watches Alice treat Faye, he can still smell the one who attacked Faye nearby, being able to smell a concentration of her blood on them. Furry begins consuming him as he looks around for the culprit, his eyes burning like crimson fire as his eyes become slits, much like a cat's when there's a lot of light. Peering into the darkness of the cave he can see an outline of something, he's not sure who or what kind of creature they are. "I don't know who you are, but you better come out or I'll rip your cowardly head off!" His fangs are fully extended, hissing like a viper at the cave. |
The man retreated deep into the cave as he watched the situation unfold where he met up with someone else. "That's a good little pup. Your sister abandoned you to die, she deserved that. But next time, make sure she's actually dead before throwing her away!" Another man growled, hitting the younger one upside his head. "Even if she didn't die, she's living in her own torment. Still, she deserves even worse but I don't think death will be the right punishment. Her living as what she is, is an quite the punishment already. We just need to get the others to hate her. Make her all alone. Make it to where death would be a blessing. She deserves nothing else." Her brother said to the man who chuckled in delight. "You are a wicked one, aren't you?" He chuckled some more. "She left me for dead and for all these year I had no one but you. She had a family, I didn't. Though how she met the vampire, I don't know." Her brother didn't realize that their parents were dead not too long after his supposed death. "Well, I think he wants you to go out and fight him, what are you going to do?" The man asked. "Nothing. I have no interest in him. Besides, he's much older than me, even if I wanted to kill him, I wouldn't be able to. But I do plan to kill him and make sure that Faye feels like it's her fault." As the young man talked, his voice showed no emotion along with his expressionless facial expression. With that, the two left the cave, going through a different exit point like all caves have.
Faye began coughing up water to get out of her lungs. She slowly opened her eyes and yawned once all the water was out. Her night wear that she was wearing was left over in the cave but it was ripped after turning due to emotional stress. As she looked around, there was no recognition in her eyes even as she looked at Isaac. But when she looked at him, she was filled with anger and rage, not that she understood as to why. She barked and growled at him as she slowly backed away. "Oh my, this isn't good." Alice sighed as she rubbed her temples. "This is much worse than I had expected." Arden sighed as well at the situation. "This isn't good at all." He huffed. "Isaac, I think it will be best that she lives with us." Alice told him. "Right now, shes unaware of who she is, it happens sometimes to us when we are inured badly in our heads, mostly when we are in our wolf forms. We loose our human side of ourselves and really only time will tell if we will ever recover because there has been some who are still unable to remember who they actually are. And the way she reacts to you, I just don't think it's safe for you to let her live with you for now. I was afraid of this but I was hoping that her vampire side would keep her from becoming like this." She bent down in front of Faye who looked very scared when looking at her but there was a comfort that washed over Faye that allowed Alice to pet her. "Oh you poor girl." She kissed her head like a loving mother would to their child. |
Hearing Faye bark, Isaac turns around, tears in his eyes, glad to see she'll be alright. But the pain in his chest returns when she backs away from him, his eyes turning ruby red as he's still crying.
"I'm so sorry Faye, its all my fault, if it wasn't for me you wouldn't have gotten hurt. If you never remember me it will be what I deserve after letting you get hurt like that." He turns to Alice and Arden, "You'll let me know when I can visit, right? I can meet with you at the edge of your territory if that's alright with you. Either way though, I should probably find someone to drink from, I'm still really drained from earlier. I don't even really know what came over me either but now I have a splitting headache." He gives Faye one last, saddened look before returning home to change into something more presentable while he goes out to find blood. |
Alice frowned at Isaac as he left. She then turned her attention towards Faye and wondered how they would get her into the pack. She knew it would be impossible to keep her a secret from everyone unless they disguised her scent, maybe make her smell like the forest and drown out her own scent and then sneak her inside. Honey, I think it will be best if we hide her. What do you think?" She asked Arden. He just shrugged. "I don't know. What if she gets loose, then everyone would find out and they might not trust us again. having her come back with us is very serious. Just because we are the leaders, they can over throw us if they feel like we are not going our job properly. This is something that needed to be discussed wit hour fellow pack members. Keeping secrets is a sure fire way of being dethroned." He warned her. He was not happy about bring Faye back without telling the others so there was no way he was going to keep her hidden from them and chance being kicked out of the pack. Alice didn't think about that but her mate was right. "Fine, we will have a meeting about her the second we are able to." She told Arden. Then as they went to get Faye, they noticed she was gone. Faye ran away, she was scared and was running on pure instincts.
Faye didn't stop running until she saw a family outside of the forest. She was right on the edge of the forest, jut watching them play. There were two children, the mother was pregnant with another child and the father was making sure the the mother was alright playing with the other two. The older one was a girl who looked no mare than the age of our while the brother looked no more than the age of two. Something about this scene grabbed her attention until she finally walked out to reveal herself as she was compelled to play. or some reason, she felt peace and wasn't afraid of them. But the family was of her. They tried to gather up the children and run, though one slipped out of the mother's hands. Fay lowered her ears as she saw the boy fall out and she rushed to him to keep hi from hitting the ground. The mother and father were shocked at what they saw and their defenses lowered. "Honey, she wasn't trying to hurt us. I think she's just curious." The mother lifted up her son while she patted her head, making the wolf's tail wag happily. "Can we keep him?" The little girl asked. "It's a nice doggie!" She said. Getting out of her father's arms, she ran to the wolf and petted her. Faye licked the girl's face which made her giggled. "You know, we do need someone to protect us while you're away working. I know we don't have the expensive to keep a pet but I think we can make a budget for her." She suggested. Sighing, he let out a chuckle and nodded. "Fine. Even though it's very insane to keep such a beast but, with you about to give birth, I think it would be nice to have someone watch over you and the children while I'm away. But if that beast hurts anyone of you, it's gone." Though he didn't mean gone as in making it leave, he meant gone as in dead. He would kill Faye if she hurt his family. Faye took quite the liking to the boy though as she followed them inside. Alice and Arden was at a lot for words. They didn't know what should be done, what would the right thing be? Faye looked rather happy being with them. Forcing her away from that family would just be bad, she would act on pure instincts, like she's been doing, and not only be afraid of them even ore but als hate them and distrust them. |
Having changed Isaac takes a carriage into the town, becoming depressed once more at having scared Faye off once more. As the carriage goes by an alley he smells blood, and commands the carriage to halt. Getting out he goes into the shadows looking for what the cause for the blood was.
"Ah, sorry, is this your domain? I didn't know there was a vampire around here, though you're too young to be a lord." W beautiful woman with cascading blond curls smiles at him, dressed in a stunning blood red dress. In her arms was a young woman, turning pale from the lose of blood. "Release her, you've had enough blood from her." Smiling the vampress licks where she's been drinking and lets the girl slump to the ground. When he turns to leave she follows him, holding the door open and preventing him from shutting it. "Now that's no way to treat a lady, you're the most handsome guy around, and I'm new in town. Why don't you show me around?" "I have no interest in talking to you, nor anyone else." The vampress is actually surprised, never having met a vampire male that wasn't interested in her at all. "Well, aren't you a grump. You need to go to one of the meetings, you don't get out enough and socialize with the rest of us it seems." Letting out a sigh he glares at her. "If you want me to drop you off somewhere then fine, but as I've said I have no interest in you or anyone else. I'm more concerned about drinking blood right now than anything else. "Then way didn't you just finish that girl off? There was still plenty of blood in her to tide her over." His eyes burns crimson as he glares at her. "If there is no need to kill while drinking then why should I? There's plenty of people to drink from around here, no need to get them killed and raise a ruckus." The woman smiles as she climbs into the carriage and tells him her she wants to go. She just thought of an interesting way to spend her time since he seems to have a soft spot for humans. |
The family decided to play outside some more. They began to throw a ball towards her. "So what should we name him? Or her?" The mother giggled. "Her, definitely a her!" She told her husband. "I-I wanna name her Emi! Just like my friend!" She stated excitedly. "Oh, Emi? You miss your friend don't you? Well, I'm sure Emi misses you too Bridgette!" She kissed her daughter's head. "Ok, Emi it is! Come on, let's go get her a collar an a leash and food and other things she will need!" She smiled. "Can we bring Emi? She will cry being by herself." She told her parents hoping that their new family pet could go with them. "Alright, fine. So getting a leash and collar is first on our list." She smiled. They went and got a stroller for their son and began to walk with Faye following along with them.
"I will go talk to Isaac about the situation since I know you're not one for conversation with others. How did I get a man like you as a mate when I love to talk?" She giggled. Indeed, it was odd but she still loved him no matter what. And he talked to her more so than anyone else which truly made her feel special. Arden usually only talked to the pack only when absolutely necessary. With a kiss, they both went their opposite ways as Alice went to find Isaac to let him know and to show him where she would be staying. |
The carriage stops in front of a fancy looking restaurant for rich people, the vampress tugging at his arm, which he just glared at her for.
"Oh, stop being mister grump, you can get a bite here too. They have a special menu for people like us." She gives him a seductive smile, which he sighs in response to. "If it will get you to leave me alone then fine, then I'm leaving." Smiling, she leads him inside and to the back of the restaurant. There she knocks on the door and whispers a password low enough that Isaac can't hear. The door opens and she leads him into the darkness, through a hallway and another doorway. Isaac is frozen in shock at the sight before him. There's humans among groups of vampires, most of them having been bled out or crying for someone to save them. "A bit surprised? This is how we live, feeding off of humans is nesscery for us after all." She sees Isaac's eyes burning crimson with furry, and just finds it amusing. "You're going to have to accept that this is your life at some point, you can't hide what you are forever after all. I can help you ease into this life better, since you're not that old and set in your ways yet." She doesn't notice the shadows from the room gathering around him as he glares at all the vampires in the room with his crimson eyes. Then the shadows spread out, connecting to the shadows of all the vampires and coiling around their bodies. Confusion quickly spreads as they are pulled away from the humans, "What's going on!?" The vampress tries to turn towards the rest but can't move, then looks down and sees the shadows gripping her like the rest. Looking back at Isaac she sees that his fangs are completely out just as he bites into her neck. Tears of fear roll down her cheek as Isaac drains her of every last drop of blood, consuming her. She turns to ash and forms a pile on the ground, Isaac stepping over it to consume the other vampires, the humans that can still move running to hide in a corner as a dark shadow with glowing crimson eyes begins to consume all the vampires in the room. |
As Alice was trying to find Isaac, she could smell blood coming from a building. Then she remembered that Faye was a vampire. She wasn't just a wolf. Leaving her alone with that family would be a death sentence to them right now. Fear consumed her as she thought the worse had already happened but she needed to check out where that blood smell was coming from just in case Faye had ran off and began to drink blood from others. As she entered the blood scented building, she noticed a vampire feeding off of someone but then realized that it was Isaac. There was ash on the floor which made her know that he wasn't drinking humans' blood, he was drinking from vampires. "Isaac! Are you ok?" She asked. "I need to discuss something with you about Faye! It's important!" She told him hoping to get him to listen to her. "Faye found humans who want her but...I would have taken her back right away but I didn't think it would be a big deal but I had forgotten that she's also a vampire. I don't know how it will affect her if she's like this. I don't know if she will want blood or not. But I thought you should know that she's staying with them. I will check up on them and give her my blood from time to time so she doesn't attack the family. But she looks really happy being with them. They have two children and a third on the way. They have a girl and a boy. She took a liking to him. But she may be become unstable when she wants blood." Alice felt really irresponsible at the moment but she just seemed so happy and didn't want to ruin it. So she was going to try to help her in secret without the family's knowledge. "I can show you where she is if you want." She offered. Though she didn't know if Isaac was paying any bit of attention to her.
