Yeah, it was surprising good considering there was no meat in it.

I love meat and eat it everyday.

Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder. *cackle*

Yeah... I can't be a vegetarian. I like bacon and beef jerky too much.

Fulkth 04-24-2016 10:57 AM

I love the weekends the most! I am not sure what to do with today besides a few chores.

The weather is really crummy outside though. It's wet and windy.

Mine is more "All eating requires a part of something living die, so best to just try to eat well and do your best with your life. One day, we'll be wormfood, too."

...and then I start into the scary story nursery rhyme.

ZenKitty 04-24-2016 12:47 PM

This conversation is making me think of a very funny article (and title of a book of articles) called "Oral Sadism and the Vegetarian Personality." :P

Witchchylde 04-24-2016 02:48 PM

I can't even count how many times I've tried to convince myself vegetarianism is better for me, only to go howling after red red meat. Actually I seem to be a chicken addict.

Lawtan 04-24-2016 03:03 PM

Biggest meat problem is that the market for cattle and all encourages locals of places like Brazil to practice slash and burn agriculture on the Amazon. (Which is a gross misuse of the area, as the soil has little nutrients to make crops to feed cattle in the first place, and the burned trees are essentially saying "lets throw everything we need to grow crops into the atmosphere to breath in later!")

*peeks in*
Hey guys

Fulkth 04-25-2016 04:06 PM

Hi pollik!

The weather is still pretty crummy where I'm at. This stupid rain just needs to go away!

Well, I am off to take a nap now. Have to go do laundry in a bit.

ZenKitty 04-25-2016 08:31 PM

It was supposed to rain today, but it was a beautiful sunshiney day and in the high 70's. The rain will come tonight, but hopefully be another lovely day tomorrow.

Witchchylde 04-25-2016 09:01 PM

Aw, the Mousse in the brown looks a lot like my Winnie!

Den 04-25-2016 10:08 PM

tomorrow, I am going to try and track down stuff to make a few key pieces of costume bits... I need more foam, for certain, but I also need some model magic.

ZenKitty 04-25-2016 10:47 PM

What are you going to be making, Den? Will you take pictures when you're done?

I'm making a few pieces to finish a costume of this:

ZenKitty 04-26-2016 09:58 PM

That will be really great!

Tiva 04-26-2016 10:22 PM

That looks awesome!

Side note Agents of SHIELD is on an Inhuman takeover night….

Den 04-27-2016 08:47 PM

The shoulder pads are driving me nuts... I cut the foam wrong, so now I need more foam. :/

ZenKitty 04-28-2016 12:22 PM

I can imagine how difficult it would be to get those big shoulder pads right.

Tiva 04-28-2016 12:59 PM

I have a stash of Foam floor mats for when they had 8 2x2 squares for 20 dollars….

Witchchylde 04-28-2016 02:46 PM

I think I would have to use foam to pad out a dressmaker form, because I'm pretty sure they don't come prefabricated large enough to suit my sewing needs.

ZenKitty 04-28-2016 04:53 PM

Great price Tiva.

Fulkth 04-28-2016 06:56 PM

I think the only foam that we have at our house is my husband's foam pillow...

*stares at pink foam online* I feel like I've seen pink foam in real life somewhere before, but I can't pinpoint where or when.

Tiva 04-29-2016 12:59 PM

Yeah I know hence why I cleaned out the shelf on it. Between all of my projects it will be gone by next year if not sooner.

Witchy Awesome news! You can make a dress form using duck tape or packaging tape over an old shirt and shorts you don't want any more. Mine is teal. Just be careful to not wrap too tightly or you will mess up the sizing. I ended up padding it a tiny bit in the soft giggly areas to make the measurements right.

Where'd you get them from? I went to Harbor Freight and got three 6X12 rolls of the ergonomic foam floor mats for $10 each... but right now, I don't have the money for even one mat... :/

Tiva 04-30-2016 11:35 AM

BJs Club House, Which sounds really dirty but it isn't

Den 05-01-2016 12:59 AM

I don't think we have any of those around here... I just hope I can make at least $10 next Saturday so I can get another roll...

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 01:00 AM

Good luck, Den. I hope you're able to do that also.

Athilea Majiri 05-01-2016 09:30 PM

Hello hello. I hope that everyone is doing well.

ZenKitty 05-01-2016 09:37 PM

Hey there Ath. How are you tonight?

Fulkth 05-03-2016 07:45 PM

Hi everyone!

How is everyone doing today?
I am bored out of my mind, but trying to find things to do. XD

Tiva 05-03-2016 08:03 PM

Bored Bored Bored, and drinking a Not your Father's Root Beer

ZenKitty 05-03-2016 09:24 PM

Just got back from the movies. The Huntsman Winter's Tale. I really liked it - themes of overcoming adversity and redemption, but hubby wasn't grabbed by it.

SparX 05-03-2016 09:34 PM

What was the downfall for him?

ZenKitty 05-03-2016 09:41 PM

He said he just wasn't grabbed by any of the characters. But he doesn't like things with lots of backstory and I really enjoy Once Upon a Time and other shows like that.

Fulkth 05-03-2016 09:55 PM

I want to see Winter's War. I would have gone and seen it for my birthday, but it's not in any theaters where I'm at. Maybe next week.

I love fairytales. I was watching the preview and my husband was like...hey, I know that song!

ZenKitty 05-03-2016 10:13 PM

I think that acting was great and the videography was very well done. I bet you would like it.

Athilea Majiri 05-03-2016 10:33 PM

Hey there. How goes it this evening? I would have been on earlier but my husband really wanted some Memes so I had to find as many as I could for him. ^_^ I made him almost die with a couple of them.

Tiva 05-04-2016 10:20 AM

OUAT is insanely complex with an ever changing back story, but that is what makes it good. Different strokes for different folks though.

ZenKitty 05-04-2016 11:35 AM

I agree Tiva. I like backstories and complex characters. It's too hard for my hubby to follow though, so he doesn't even try.

Tiva 05-04-2016 07:45 PM

Tell him to try watching Days of Our Lives…. My grandmother has been watching that for years….
