(only thing i can think of would be when he went to the vet...maybe they put his records (for like his rabies shots and stuff) on the shelter's database or something. no clue...)

Wow! That's quite the story and so bizarre. I wouldn't want to pay someone I had nothing to do with either.

3D printers are so very cool. I have a friend who made one and has a blast working with it.

tsukiko 10-26-2017 07:50 AM

i know. made me so angry. but they haven't sent me anything since or done anything, and it's been almost a year.

so how is everyone?

Scythe 10-26-2017 09:48 AM

3d printers are making huge leaps right now. I believe they're working on different polymers that react to certain stimuli like heat.

trystan830 10-26-2017 10:16 AM

hullo all today. i hope to get some preliminary stuff done for NaNo.... hopefully. XD

Death by Mirrors 10-26-2017 03:57 PM

RIP broom, you will be missed

*hands tsukiko a granola bar*

Also, good luck on learning Nalbinding, Den. That sounds like an interesting hobby.

I'm like 93% certain that's not how you're supposed to use it either, but I definitely have great fun watching you.

tsukiko 10-26-2017 06:27 PM

xD glad i can entertain you, death :P

Death by Mirrors 10-26-2017 06:32 PM

Yep, I'd hire you to take care of my house :P

tsukiko 10-26-2017 06:39 PM

bwahahahahahaa! i certainly can't be as entertaining as this one kid that came over to my first apt. i was living there with my best friend from high school and she had some people over for drinking. well, this kid....he was so blazed out of his skull, he knocked over a drink and started mopping it up with the spaghetti that was our leftover dinner. logic much? xD needless to say, i was the one that had to clean up our kitchen before i went to work the next day. it looked like a crime scene

Den 10-26-2017 07:20 PM

>.> I'm remembering a Halloween wedding reception I went to in costume, because the bride and groom encouraged it... and I got kinda felt up by a little old lady who wanted to see my garter.

tsukiko 10-26-2017 08:20 PM

o////o what the heck you go as?!?!?!

Den 10-26-2017 08:34 PM

A member of the Miniskirt Army, a fan group from Fullmetal Alchemist.

tsukiko 10-26-2017 11:14 PM

interesting. LOL! you have any photos of that? it just sounds cool XD

Den 10-26-2017 11:56 PM

unfortunately, no. the friend I was with that night and i are no longer on speaking terms and haven't been for around four years.

tsukiko 10-27-2017 12:36 AM

blegh...i hate when that shit happens *hugs* :(

Den 10-27-2017 02:12 AM

It gets better/worse. I found out that said ex-friend has been going around throwing shade on my name, and talking shit about me. If this had been a few years ago, I would've approached her at Mystic Fest last year and thanked her for being such a bitch that I went to BotCon just to spite her, because it led to me meeting the guy who became my boyfriend. But now, I just avoid her, because she's so toxic that it's not worth the effort of rubbing her shit in her face.

tsukiko 10-27-2017 08:48 AM

*nodnodnod* i so agree with all that. best to just get the toxic out and keep it out *hugs*

Philosopher stone. Amirite? :p-sweat: Glad you took out the toxic people in your life though. No one wants a humonculous poisoning their life.

Den 10-27-2017 04:42 PM

I still have a ways to go before all the toxic people in my life are no longer in my life, but I'm down to two, so that's something. It's hard when the toxic people are related to you.

tsukiko 10-27-2017 04:49 PM

oh i know that all too well, den =_=

Den 10-27-2017 05:11 PM

At least one of them is kind of trying to do better, so they're not as bad as they were, but the other one, I want nothing to do with them, because of things they've said and done.

an example: I asked them, when they said they wanted a familial relationship with me, to start out by writing letters to me because I like writing letters, and getting letters in the mail, and it would be a way for me to begin associating less negative memories of them, and they replied "I can't trust the USPS." when they'd sent one of our mutual relatives a birthday gift via the USPS not even a few days prior.

Death by Mirrors 10-27-2017 05:19 PM

Wow, that's messed up. Either you trust them or you don't, but just using it as a lame excuse... *shakes head*

I raise my glass on all the great people though we find in our lives. The ones that make us happy, give us strength and remind us why this world can be a better place with the right company.

Den 10-27-2017 05:27 PM

To all the awesome people in our lives! *raises glass of sparkling water*

tsukiko 10-27-2017 06:09 PM

Hello everyone.

I've been in full blown NaNo Prep mode so not very present here. We have our kick off tomorrow and we made a whole bunch of cool goodie bags. Today I have to finish up the prep for that and *hopefully* have some time to try to figure out just what I'm doing this year for my novel. :P

daikokunyo 10-28-2017 11:36 AM

ZenKitty omg I didn't know you write!! I'd have liked to participate this year but I have college + a field immersion to deal with, so I won't be free until mid-December. (Plus the field immersion is in a village, so I'd have to rely on my hotspot...eh.)
What kind of stories do you usually write? And what rough directions are you exploring for your NaNo novel this year?

trystan830 10-28-2017 02:55 PM

Sternum, NaNo doesn't have to be done completely online - or even typed on a computer - one year my one daughter handwrote a lot of her NaNo!

and i had a friend who one year picked like March 15 to April 15th to write her novel because that's when it fit into her schedule! XD

now, if you want to 'win' on the NaNo site, the bare minimum is to just validate your word count (as being at 50,000 or more words) on the nano site before November 30th XD

Den 10-28-2017 06:45 PM

I'm waffling on if I wanna attempt NaNoWriMo this year or not.

Death by Mirrors 10-28-2017 07:07 PM

You want to.
ZenKitty and trystan shouldn't be the only ones to suffer after all ^^

Den 10-28-2017 07:41 PM

I just feel like I've kinda got nothing that could be developed into a fully fledged story...

I write all kinds of things and have used NaNo to explore different genres. So in the 10 years I've done NaNo, I've written an urban fantasy, cozy mystery, chick lit, sci-fi, regular fantasy, a spin off of Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series, a couple of psychological thrillers, a humorous general lit story and attempted a horror novel.

This year I'm using the NaNo theme of superhero and writing the story of a meek and mild woman who rescues a crash landed alien who has superpowers on earth. But when she rescues him she gets some powers of her own and is actually the one who is helping him to do his work. His planet will get interested in Earth and they will have to work together to assure that nothing bad happens and in the end, my MC will own her power and danger will be thwarted.

At least that's the idea right now. I feel so unprepared. I've spent too much time working on getting everything scheduled for our region that I haven't had much time to focus on my novel. I'll be pantsing it this year for the most part. :P

And Trys is right. We have a lot of people who handwrite their novels and then I'll use a Lorem Ipsum word doc to have them upload it on November 30th to validate they wrote all of the words.

If you run out of story you could have fun with writing prompts. It's good writing practice. :)

trystan830 10-28-2017 10:58 PM

lol.... i don't suffer. =)

I guess the only thing I suffer through is having a blast all month. Tough thing to"suffer" through. LOL

trystan830 10-28-2017 11:15 PM

i know, right? =)

ZenKitty 10-28-2017 11:23 PM

My NaNo is made even more fun coordinating the write ins and seeing how much fun others are having. It becomes a synergy of fun!

trystan830 10-28-2017 11:38 PM

write-ins are fun! i went to one or two in the past. i'll have to see when and where they are this year to see if i can make them. =)

ZenKitty 10-29-2017 12:14 AM

Looks like there are a lot of write ins in your region, Trys. Hopefully you'll be able to make some.

Also - don't forget to activate your novel. You can use the TBD like I did. ;)
