Ye! I need my baby tummy bugs to help me digest stuff. <x} *clap*

littl3chocobo 02-18-2020 08:33 PM

i'm not worried. our biomes are incompatible!

Tam I am 02-18-2020 10:36 PM

I mostly won't read a series til they're all out. Because it's a screaming argh when suddenly the series ends before it's finished.

*wanders through, pauses to wave their ace flag, wanders off*

Derpy McBlueEyes 02-18-2020 11:20 PM

Derpy waddles in and plops down in the middle of the floor. "Hi again!"

Danganronpa XD And he isn't to be trusted.

Merskelly Metalien 02-18-2020 11:50 PM

Hallo Derpy Dragon. :] *waves hello*

Derpy McBlueEyes 02-19-2020 12:06 AM

Derpy scoots over some. "Hi Merskewwy! Whatcha doin'?"

Merskelly Metalien 02-19-2020 12:32 AM

I'm getting ready for my swim class tomorrows. :D
I'm part of a swim class! ^-^

Tam I am 02-19-2020 02:49 AM

**can't swim, even though I know how**

Death by Mirrors 02-19-2020 08:11 AM

*can only swim very slowly, and float*

KittyBeary 02-19-2020 08:14 AM

I miss swimming :c

Kitalpha Hart 02-19-2020 08:34 AM

I can't even float

Derpy McBlueEyes 02-19-2020 11:28 AM

Derpy grabs one of his donut shaped pool floaties. "I wanna go too!"

PICKLE STORM! YAAAASSSSS.

XD. Oh right. I can float too. But only if I don't move. I'm very dense. I heard those snerks.

mdom 02-20-2020 01:05 PM

I can float because they say.... I don't sink

Kitalpha Hart 02-20-2020 02:15 PM

Wait what about a pickle storm

Merskelly Metalien 02-20-2020 03:54 PM

I didn't think I could float either. :D Since I'm like a skeleton, and more fat is buoyant apparently. >.> Everyone always told me floating is easy and just to relax, but I always sank, or my head was the only thing barely above the water. ^~^; I tried floating on my back, breathing in and out, but every time,
my legs went down,
my torso went down,
B/ I went down.
So I just held my breath, and boom! :D Floated! Then I explained that I just let my BODY relax and held my breath to float. :[ But then I was told that was wrong. That I'm supposed to breathe in and out like I did before.
>B/ It was frustrating that everyone else knew how to float, and I just couldn't for the life of me.

But it turns out I was floating correctly the whole time! :D
The body just floats!...as long as you hold your breath repeatedly. <xD Because the lungs help ya float if they're fully inflated. :3
Only thing though, legs will sink. <:/ Legs don't have lungs...not even mine. The only way to keep legs afloat is to kick a lil' slowly.
Conclusion: You can float. :D Everyone else is just saying it's easy when it's not, it's actually natural, and you gotta find what's natural to ya!

...also you can float if you aren't conscious or even alive, <X} but, like, that's for a totally different reason. O_O People sink later on, after floating. <.<; But it's just natural. We're all flippin' buoys.
.w. If you're a baby though, you need floaties.

Tam I am 02-20-2020 08:27 PM

Yeah. I can breath while I float. But like I say, the moment I move anything other than my eyes and my lungs, I'm going down. I think I could walk across the bottom of the flipping pool if it didn't freak me out.

Edit: Though... now I'm fat and jiggly. I wonder if I'd float or swim any better?

Kitalpha Hart 02-21-2020 01:59 AM

Least you can keep your head above water
I can't even manage that loooooool
My swim units back in high school, everyone else could keep floating easily, and they'd try for the middle of the deep end. I was always as shallow as allowed and by the edge because it would be inevitable that I'd splash up and grab the edge to stay up
Teachers never said anything tho

Tam I am 02-21-2020 03:12 AM

Actually, only my face. My ears get so waterlogged I feel like I'm drinking through them. And I don't feel safe in water deeper than me.

One of my sisters had the same problem as me of not being able to float and swim at the same time, but she was a little more buoyant than me. She learnt to swim underwater like an otter.

Kitalpha Hart 02-21-2020 04:22 AM

Head, face, still more than me

mdom 02-21-2020 12:27 PM

well maybe in a shallow kiddie pool xD

Merskelly Metalien 02-21-2020 12:41 PM

Whatever is comfortable. :]
I'm good with deep pools, doesn't matter if the depth is 8 feet or 15 feet.
^-^
Surprisingly, I'm not compatible with the ocean for some reason. >_>;
I think it's the waves...also the salt and germs...
I prefer chemically treated ponds.

Stabbsworth 02-21-2020 02:06 PM

iiiii can't swim.

also, anyone know if there's planned to be a second wave of items?

Merskelly Metalien 02-21-2020 02:33 PM

:/ Actually a lot of people can't.
It's pretty common. I had no idea until I traveled through the northwest United States. 8{ I was pretty surprised.

I'm waiting on that second wave of items. <x} I have too many books. >~<; I need ta spend them.

Kitalpha Hart 02-21-2020 03:10 PM

I can kinda swim
I do better on my back with the ones that make you glide for a bit
The hardest part is keeping my face above water lol

Kaderin Triste 02-21-2020 03:27 PM

I can't float very well, but I can swim alright.

Biomecha 02-21-2020 06:07 PM

It's been a few centuries since I've last gone swimming. I'd like to try it again, some day. But then the idea of wearing a bathing suit in public is quite a deterrent.

Merskelly Metalien 02-21-2020 08:02 PM

;U; That is one reason I don't swim in public anymore. I might look Ace-okay in a swimsuit, but I'm rather shy about it in front of strangers. >~>; And I'm worried I may draw the wrong sort of attention.
The other reason is sanitation. e~e;

I'd so much rather swim in a mostly vacant pool for adult recreational use only. <:/ I miss swimming in the "privacy" of my old backyard. (privacy in quotations because there was literally only gated fences around, to which most anyone on either side of our house and in the alley could look over and see me.)

Tam I am 02-21-2020 09:45 PM

I wonder if being able to have my face above water means I'm an airhead?

They make ones that are actually suits, and not just string now.

Stabbsworth 02-22-2020 11:16 AM

i almost drowned in primary school swimming lessons. mildly surprised i don't have a fear of deep water from that.

the teacher did jack shit and another student with better swimming skillz had to bail me out.

Kitalpha Hart 02-22-2020 12:01 PM

Watch it turn out that the teacher never noticed ene

Stabbsworth 02-22-2020 01:11 PM

oh, she did notice, but literally did nothing.

Kitalpha Hart 02-22-2020 01:29 PM

Wow
How rude

Merskelly Metalien 02-22-2020 04:39 PM

:[ That's only ever happened to me with one teacher. But she was arguably a f*cking bitch, and had NO business teaching ANYthing, because despite having a doctorate, she couldn't teach a class to save her LIFE! 8) I was only one of the students she ignored when being asked for help. B[ She really had no excuse. No thick accent, no mental or medical inability. Honestly, just a garbage lady.
But that wasn't swimming, 8/ it was Child Development.

Death by Mirrors 02-22-2020 06:00 PM

You take classes for that?
Seriously, child care is easy. Just plant them into a large enough pot with some soil, put on the front porch and water daily.

mdom 02-22-2020 10:32 PM

hey, it's good to talk to them once in a while, like what my mom does to the orchids

Merskelly Metalien 02-23-2020 12:09 AM

Honestly, <x'} I think MORE people need to take Child Development classes, especially if they're like new parents. 8/ Too many kids are raised by parents who have no idea what they're doing, and end up impacting their child's life forever in the worst sorts of ways. B[

I'm personally never having kids. 8[ Don't want them. Don't wanna raise them.
But if ever I am forced to babysit any kids, :T I at least know where to go to remind myself how to handle them.
