@Xia I'm good with agreeing to disagree. I do agree that there are some things about Solia that can be improved. It's not perfect. Such as the surplus of female only clothing when compared to male only clothing and the $50 items. I just don't personally feel that the bad outweighs the good but I bet that if I was banned I would feel that way.

@Fulkth Yeah. That is one of the things I don't like so much about Solia. The reason there are $50 items though, is because the users asked for them back. There used to be items that were that much that were based on Tornfaun items but those were taken out. When they were the admins polled the users and the users voted for more $50 items.

About Hannah, the official word was that she quit due to family issues. Something about her husband not wanting her to work there any more or something.

So the only other sites I ever played were Gaia and Chloria. Gaia went downhill and Chloria never went anywhere.

I'm not entirely sure, but it was pretty much like half a year before the Cash Shop got up. I bet it was number 1 on their to do list.
I believe in '05. You could see it going down. 2004 was the best year.

@Arix; I can imagine that. However she also told me she had quite some problems with her internet. There have been times she couldn't be online for weeks.

Man, I can't believe I missed the part when gaia got sold. Was there even like an annoncement or anything? I must not have been paying attyention or been on hiatus when it happened. Or maybe I hadn't even joined yet. Who knows. XD

I joined Gaia in 04 and then went on a three year hiatus. I rejoined in 07 and became an Extended Discussion regular. It wasn't even that bad on 07. I think it started failing when zOMG came out really. I think zOMG was a bad decision on their part.

I'm not completely sure. I have also missed it a little what exactly happened, but I did notice something was going on. I asked other people and they have told me this. Wasn't hard to believe either, since Lanzers journal suddenly stopped with updates o_o But I'm not sure how it has gone from there on. But I think it got too big for him to handle? I mean, look at the size of Gaia... it became a serious business. They have hired people just like others would go to work to be a mod all day.

I actually really like zOMG as a game, but....yeah. D:

Gaia is now a corporation. They have an official headquarters where people actually go, sit in a cubicle, and work. It's pretty insane.

zOMG is a pretty fun game but it adds so much to their function costs and not many people use it. It was a waste of their time and money.

I didn't like zOMG xD But yeah I've played many other MMORPG's and I'd prefer those 100 times more than that.

I just can't stand how it used to lag when I played....then again, last time I played was for the Easter event.

I joined Gaia in Jan. of 04. Best time of my life. For me? 07--one is when I noticed it going downhill but in 05 is when the inflation began its decay.

I had NO IDEA Lanzer quit. Wow. BUT, I could tell when the jokes with him slowly vanishing, but man, gone?

I miss go-gaia, I can't lie. It was just wonderful but it has sadly gone so far under. Even as I think now, I grow very sad.

I am only in gaia, Ernya an Trisphee.

Now I joined gaia in 03 an even met my fiance there. Gaia is only down hill if you go there for the items. Now if you go for the people who you like an such it's not too bad. I didn't hear they sold gaia but a ex staff member told me they let some gaming company buy in to the site so they still own about 50% of it.

I am also waiting on Malthea to open seeing as it's been well over a year since it was started up. Solia, I'm trying to quit by selling my smaller items an either revert the pure into bigger items or just gold for art before I do leave. Roli an Zantarni are both also on my quitting list. I rarely get on those sites so it's a lot harder to drop. Avaricia seems dead an I really don't go there anymore either an that also goes for Kinsaki, Tinierme, Varus and Bunny Kingdom. >.<

I'm not really familiar with other new avi sites coming up, because I'm only ever active on two or three at the most at any given time.

Right now my favorite site is Solia, and I am liking some things about this site, too.

I'd probably say my least favorite sites are Gaia and Roli.

There's no new avatars sites out there I'm interested in, and in fact should probably leave a few of the ones I am a member of, haha. But right now I'm most active on Gaia, Trisphee, Ernya and Solia, in order of activity.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Solia, it's quite sad actually. Ernya I went to mostly because a very good friend of mine was there, and I stick around for events and art. Gaia's been a real home for me in the past, and I reacquaint myself with the site in bursts - like every six months I'll go on a posting spree and then it'll die off again. But I was heavily active on the site from about 05-08.

Jinksu has ugly bases, imo.
And I don't get along with some of the admin there (there's 400 billion admin there lol) anyways.

I'm mildly interested in the one that is supposedly opening December 15th... can't remember the name now but it's been mentioned in this thread before.

Yeeah, it looks... mildly interesting... I unno.

That's because the person who was originally the coder took Elidiun without the creator's permission and bought new avi bases (I think the bases are the only thing that has been changed, from what I'm seeing). And...the coder has offered her a job as a mod xD;;; (failed attempt at trying to be 'good'...).

She was pretty devastated after that.

I will be supporting her if she decides to start up another avi site again. I think she will do well in the second round. Learning from the predecessor and making things better 83

I have msn conversations with the previous owner. She came to me within the past few days and told me about it. I think it might have happened farther back though.
