You and me both... only I'm 5'-6" and approximately 80 pounds overweight. The only thing that stands in my way (other than being lazy) is the fact I am usually forced to sit all day long due to my job.

NoLifeKing 12-16-2010 12:37 PM

I'm happy now. I thought I was old but apparently not. %D

X a k i 12-16-2010 01:04 PM

Shenandoh; I don't do really any exercise at all (aside of walking around at school on the days I actually have classes) but I am still dieting by eating less and I'm losing weight because of it. oxo

Echo-chan713 12-16-2010 02:12 PM

I used to eat frequently in smaller portions then when I got a seasonal job for Halloween (because people are procrastinators XP) where my first job experience I worked in a 12 hr shifts 7 days a week with barely a break/lunch, so I had to start eat less frequently but in biggger portions and for some reason with in a month I lost about 30 lbs and I always carried a gallon of water with me.

There are some easy exercises you can do (but they would be preferable if you have an office that isn't shared with others. xD)

Echo-chan713 12-16-2010 06:21 PM

yea. For me I hate the cold and don't have the motivation to do excerise. I've always been like that since I was a baby

Alexander Linden 12-16-2010 06:33 PM

I hate cold and hot... I sweat much more easily than most people, even though I'm not really that overweight. It may be a medical condition, but I don't have the money to see a doctor about it (and yes, it really is bad enough that I /should/ see a doctor).

X a k i 12-16-2010 06:42 PM

I don't do things that make me sweat. >>;;

I sweat a lot too, so I have to use a clinical-strength antiperspirant (but thankfully those are sold over-the-counter now) but I like the cold -- I'm really comfortable around 40 degrees F.

Alexander Linden 12-16-2010 08:08 PM

That doesn't help me.

Coda 12-16-2010 11:33 PM

It's not really enough for me either, so I just try to avoid temperatures above 70 degrees as much as I can avoid it. x.x

Absinthe 12-17-2010 05:28 AM

o.0

I really wouldn't worry about it at all. That is a perfectly okay weight for your height. It's a nice, healthy weight.

You don't want to be skinny-skinny. I was once extremely thin, and I look back at pictures now and realize I look sickly and anorexic. :x

Trinka 12-22-2010 02:38 AM

Oh goodness, where this conversation has gone.
I'm 5'3 and around 150 pounds. Not perfectly happy, but it will do.

My job exercising is strange, I work as a theatre technician so on some days I'm crawling around through grids, and on other days I'm just sitting for hours and hours setting up cues. So some days I exercise, some days I don't. But I am currently on break, lovely amazing break, so I took today, and walked for a good five hours. It was great, I've been feeling awesome all day.
If I had the time, I'd walk everywhere, but my schedule is just so busy, I can never make time for the gym or anything of the sort.

Panda, you look fine. If you want to exercise to feel better about yourself and be healthier, props to you, and there are bunches of tips throughout the entire thread. I actually write the word no on my palm when I know I'll be at a buffet or a catered show, and I'll use that to remind myself that I really do not need to be near the table with small fancy cakes on it.
So good luck, you look great now, and good luck to you.

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 11:52 AM

I'm really happy my parents gifted me a year sporting at the gym around the corner =) Really sweet! Now I won't only loose weight (I gained a lot the past half year due to personal stuff =x) but I will also get a tight body again 8D Kekeke. I want to go back when you could still see my abs a little... <3 - which is good timing too, a (rather pro) photographer wants me to model for him o 3o And I want to look good of course, who doesn't.

Time to start getting healthy supertime again 8D With.... water! -Fills bottles- xD

Once I'm into this stuff, I get pretty enthusiastic about it lol.

Gozed 12-22-2010 11:59 AM

Since I've been working I've lost 40 pounds, so now according to a chart in my doctor's office, I am within the healthy range for my build (6 foot, now 208 pounds). I'm still not happy with the appearance of my body, so for the new years resolution I am going to start doing exercises either when I wake up, or after I get off work, mainly sit-ups and push ups.

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 12:23 PM

@Gozed; I'd recommend also doing some fitness-like abs workout. It might feel kind of silly for you to do something like Zumba Flat Abs, but that's some incredible excersize. You won't have to do them all, just try a few moves and decide which you like and feels good. Those will help every part of your body and not only your back, tummy and arms. If you wanna look good, it's best to do them all 8D I used to look pretty silly back when I played volleybal. My upper body was (and still is) very skinny and muscled, while my lower body - especially my legs) are kind of 'left behind'. It's much better now, but still not equal xD

Gozed 12-22-2010 12:37 PM

I just looked up some Zumba Flat Abs videos, basically it just looks like intense dancing to me...

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 12:40 PM

It is =P But it works. A few moves look a lot like fitness, tho most is dancing.

Buuut if it's in your room... why would you care if it's dancing 0:) It's not like anyone else has to know... it's about the result 8D And well, maybe you would've liked it so I thought I'd mention it ^^

Gozed 12-22-2010 12:44 PM

Only problem if I tried to do it in my room, I'd shake the house (the floor shakes easily, I can feel my family walk around the living room cause of the vibrations through the floor). Honestly, I would probably do it, and have fun with it, like set up the garage to be like a night club with the light or something for me to work out in.

Logan 12-22-2010 01:00 PM

I will have 2hr of zumba in an hour at gym... then at club for more zumba tonight at 7-9pm EST. <3

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 01:13 PM

@Logan; cool! <3 They also have Zumba at the gym I'm gonna go to tomorrow. Hopefully I can join in (it's usually so busy you got to be lucky to join)

@Gozed; good point. That sucks, I hope you can find a way tho <3 like, when you're home alone or something lol

Logan 12-22-2010 01:15 PM

Usually on mondays that most people like zumba instead of rest of week... D;
So weird.

But i got feeling it will be crowded in gym room for sure
and at club too. XD

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 01:23 PM

Monday lol... yeah after the weekend of course xD It's the busiest day here too. Which is why I avoid mondays.

Logan 12-22-2010 01:26 PM

Yeah but good energy from zumba instructors are on tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, and saturday...
Come on. XD

Gozed 12-22-2010 01:28 PM

I doubt any gyms around here do anything like zumba. Granted we only have one gym really, and its mostly for the equipment.

Logan 12-22-2010 01:30 PM

Wont hurt to call it up and see if they offer classes. <3

Gozed 12-22-2010 01:31 PM

Pssh, thats what youtube is for, free classes. :P

Logan 12-22-2010 01:31 PM

Sometimes they dont update utube... >3>
It wont kill ya to give few minutes to call. <3

Silverbleed 12-22-2010 01:58 PM

What, only one gym? That's rare XD My town only already has 7!
Thankfully the cheapest (for me, I get a 50% discount as student) gym is about 150 meter away from my home - which makes me go faster lol.

Uke 12-22-2010 04:24 PM

Oh my gosh, man... I know loads of people are saying it, but I'd kill to be your weight. (Or your height, actually...)

I really can't tell you any good way to do it. Personally, I've tried gyms, work outs, diets... nothing works for me, but some of them might work for you.

The only thing that ever worked for me when it came to weightloss was anorexia, but do NOT try that. Because as soon as you eat normally you just gain it all back... your body goes into 'starvation mode' and you're worse off then you were.

On top of that... it is really bad for you.

So... yeah. Good luck? :\

Trinka 12-23-2010 05:35 AM

So I'm trying to Zumba thing.
Alone in my bedroom. >>
With the door locked.

And it's actually really fun.
I'm feeling skinny radiate off the screen, and I waanntt.

Archaical 12-24-2010 06:52 PM

be active and eat well, if you lose weight good, if not then you didnt need too :D

Echo-chan713 01-08-2011 07:15 PM

What I do isn't a major excerise routine.

I play Dance Dance Revolution on occasions when I go to my moms place, but when I get my apartment. It's coming with me.

And I don't do tohose basic excrise video last time I did the routine videos was a stripper Carmen Electra type of video I found on demand for free. I was awesome when you do them right it works on those areas (the next day I was sore from the muscles being activated) and it makes you feel sexy as you do it :3

I know right? Once you're into it, it's actually really fun.

I bought the Kinect for Xbox and Zumba with it =) I'm loving it!!

Echo-chan713 01-08-2011 07:27 PM

What about the WiiFit.

it only sad thing about it is the assumption that your fat is around the bellylike a beer belly in fact oTL

Silverbleed 01-08-2011 07:34 PM

WiiFit sounds extremely boring XD And I don't feel like buying a Wii just for that - I don't like any of the games honestly.
I'm more one a 'shooters' person.

Echo-chan713 01-08-2011 07:55 PM

I don't own a wii as well I played it with my friends at one point

Yommy 01-08-2011 09:12 PM

I like the Wii Fit but also want the other work out games on the Wii.
Having to get up an move with it makes things a lot of fun.

Echo-chan713 01-08-2011 09:20 PM

Schools are now doing DDR as a ciricularphysical activity. and they say video games are lazy ones

Yommy 01-08-2011 09:37 PM

Lol...I wish they'd add that to our schools.
Here they are trying to ban everything like chocolate milk.
