Hey, Mew... Think you'd be up to doing another RP with me? I'm bored and want a couple of loose plot lines of which I think you'd be interested in:

[Number 1]
Post apocalyptic setting. In the near future, there is a group of scientists that discovered something truly incredible. A way to rip between this reality and the next. The first time everything went well and they were bolstered by their success and they said it heralded the beginning of a new age. The second time also went well. However, the third time was what descended the world into madness. The scientists pierced into a world that was not kind.

In essence, they broke the barrier of reality into hell. Monsters poured out, the scientists were killed, and the portal remained open to allow more monsters to spill out. The apocalypse began in New York City... the world was infected swiftly. Now, people live within cities with barriers constructed around them: tall electric fences with guards standing just inside to keep all monsters back. The countryside is no longer safe to inhabit as monsters roam it freely, eating the unfortunate.

However, among all this chaos, hope still shines. Adventurous individuals armed in various manners, among which could be considered exorcists - those that have chosen to become part of the clergy, taking on certain holy rituals that mitigate the power of the demonic entities (holy water, exorcism, blessings, etc.) - fighting to get to the heart of the rift in Old New York to close the portal via any means necessary and return the ravaged world to peace.

A previous idea I had spoken of once upon a time, though it had fallen through. The essence of it would be that some older teens/young adults are taken to Pokemon World and are forced to go on the gym challenge in order to find the reason why they were taken to the Pokemon World in the first place. The entire experience would be based off the games rather than the television show as I have no recollection of the show in any of the seasons. As for how they were brought to Pokemon World, we could have a Legendary Pokemon take them. Either Mew, Celibi, or Jirachi. If it's Jirachi, the transportation could come from a wish. Granted, I'm not familiar with the range of Pokemon dealing with Jirachi or Celibi and would rather we stayed within the first 151 Pokemon if possible and maybe the Jhoto set (as I adore Lugia).


What do you think? Both could have mature ratings (likely due to swearing on my part and due to violence on the first idea).

My character wouldn't be the type to be all religious and stuff so I was just curious about that. :O

I'm not sure where it's going. I enjoy it... but I'm lost on where to go. And no, they're not necessarily religious. There are certain rituals they do to be classified as 'religious', but not necessarily Christian. Could be any religion so long as there is a way to get rid of monsters... or even harness them. Not to mention, they don't have to do the 'exorcist' thing. Guns, knives, whatever you wish to fight with. Heavy artillery so long as it can be readily transported... No random tanks and Humvees, for instance.

What if something major happens to sort of force them to have to figure it out. Otherwise I think they would just keep going along with the situation until they either got "killed" or turned 25. D:

And the people would be more like roaming village priests in a sense. Basically, pick up whatever their 'preacher teacher' taught and use it to fight, hoping to find their own apprentices later on. I have an idea for a couple of characters myself. One would be more Roman Catholic and kinda religious... the other would be a guy that had lost his entire family to the monsters and is more of a vengeance seeker... through all the liquor he would be ingesting.

Yup... so what do you think could happen? But first I think the purpose of the Game should be figured out... did you say what the purpose of it was already or not? :O

So then I think the reasons behind my character doing it would be pretty simple. She would just be doing it because demons = bad so they need to be rid of. xD
She's a very brash and straight-forward character.

I don't think we discussed it. *blushes* *ponders* Maybe we could have the purpose be something along the lines of... finding the person that designed the game so that they could put a stop to him/her. Like an evil mastermind that likes playing with the lives of others? A puppet master?

I still have to design them somewhat, so I could do one for a bit and start out a bit away from the epicenter. Like, down in Washington D.C. or something, but not too far or else it'd be hard to get up there with all the fighting.

So would the creator of it just be insane? xD;;

So then the overall purpose is to stop the demons and close the portal? to the other reality or whatever. But I think that's too broad, like we'll get stuck along the way y'know?
I think we kinda need to focus on a smaller goal at the beginning, not so much just "WE GOTTA CLOSE THE DOOR TO THE OTHER WORLD" because then we'll get stuck on the way to that goal.

Yeah... I'm kinda weak at the moment on ideas... For the Game, the puppet master could be the first part, but then things get worse when it comes out he/she isn't actually in control of the situation. Essentially, he's the accessory and the puppet him/her-self. The players would have to kill the true creator of the whole 'Game', a 'Shadow King' that wants to achieve a kind of goal. To bring these kids into the Shadow World and turn them into his subjects. That's where a good portion of the monster come from, the souls of the kids that are killed in the game. (Totally pulled this out of my ass, if it's not obvious.)

And on the demon world idea, we could do something a little narrower at the beginning. Most of the people of this world have lost someone in their families due to the accident. It could start as revenge to get the demon that killed the family member or all demons in general. And the fact that these people (ten years down the road from the accident, which is something I forgot to say earlier) have lived for some time in a hard, war-ridden world makes for unusual personality developments. But I don't think that this has quite narrowed it down, yet. Revenge is a powerful motivator, but not many should remember the exact cause of the accident except for the older people who may or may not remember the cause.

Another point I forgot to mention is that holy ground is a powerful thing, too, but can only be maintained when there are no violent deaths on the property and takes a lot to sanctify that ground again. Churches or holy buildings are common safe-grounds that are also commonly forgotten simply because the violence that occurs in the cities on a daily basis nullifies most sacred grounds quickly. Most people either survive on crap that had been in a can for ten years or from synthetically produced foods that aren't that great.

What do you think would be a good narrow goal in the beginning? Revenge is all I can come up with at the moment. "To kill all demons as they come across them."

If it isn't too much perhaps the Shadow King guy wants to take over this world, etc. etc. That kind of thing is used a lot of course but ya, kinda stumped on ideas atm. ^^;;
So how about the thing that changes is that, at first, there are a lot more monsters that are stronger. Like more "Boss" type monsters start popping up, and the difficulty of staying alive increases. Suddenly a lot more kids are being "killed" and even more start being put into the Game. And then because those new kids don't really know how to deal with the situation usually they are killed really fast. Non-players start to notice the vast amount of kids who are falling into comas and there would be news about that.
Our characters could all run into each other soon because of the increased difficulty and they have to group up to keep each other alive. Maybe we could bring in some minor characters there as well, other Players who also group up with our main characters. Because it seems like if they don't try to stop the Game themselves they'll be killed within a matter of weeks or days the Players actually start to take action. Try to figure out how to stop it and what is really going on.

I think that's a good basis to get going at a good pace again...
Oh ya, and about where Shannon and Robyn are talking, I thought I should point out that when Shannon was getting beat up, that was AFTER school. :I
And you had Robyn going TO school when she walked by and saw him... so I was kinda wondering about that. xD;;;

Revenge works, and I think I could have my character be a bit influenced by that, but it doesn't really consume her as the main reason, like you said one of your characters is. Her family would have been killed off by the demons and she's only around like 20-21-ish so she would have been young when it happened of course.
How many "safe" areas would there be? Like the areas that are guarded and what-not. I picture it like the world is mostly a wasteland with the demons roaming about wherever they please, feeding on whoever is stupid enough to walk around in the wasteland. There aren't so many of the safe towns/cities, and there aren't a ton of survivors so there wouldn't be a need to have a lot of them anyways.
Is that how you picture it more or less? Or different?
