I have some Irish, English,....and either Scottish or Welsh (one I don't have)
And I'm part American Indian? And probably some other things too -shrugs- |
I didnt' want to read a whole 6 pages. Sorry peoples!
Short: I'm Asian. A little longer: I'm Thai and Filipino. Long: On my dad's side we are Filipino, and possibly Spanish if our last name has anything to do with that. But then again his dad walked out on the family when he was young so we have no idea what traits we got from him. Maybe the Spanish last name is Mexican. Who knows? On my mom's side she is White and Thai. There's some Indian there from my grandmother I hear. But from her father (who also walked out or worse) we apparently have some Native American, German, and Egyptian in us. But of course these genetic traits are so deluded now it's not apparent xD I wish I got a tall gene from my white genetics though. I can at least be content with 5'8" but still white guys are usually pretty tall. =| OH and I can be content with my pubic hair on places other than my face. Early in puberty I thought I'd be nearly hairless like my dad. Even at 20 my facial hair is pretty much "almost a goatee" amount of hair xD |
Cliffs Notes: Sweedish, Rom, French, Native American.
Longer version: On my mother's side I'm mostly Swedish/Scandinavian, and a direct decedent of Eric the Red, with some Rom/Gypsy tossed in. Within that Rom who knows, while they usually didn't marry into the areas they lived we don't have good records for it, so I might have eeeeeeverything in there. From my father's side I have some more Swedish, some French and the tiniest sliver of Native American(Creek I think). On his side I'm related by marriage to Edgar Allen Poe. Ironically, both my brother and I have German names, yet there's not a lick of German in us. What we do have is a lovely li'l 'blood' feud of the most aggressive bloodlines(all that Swedish) and the most passive(Rom, French and Creek) mixed in us. Keeps me entertained to say the least. |
I'm German with a little bit of Irish. My mother was half-Irish [from her mother], enough for her to decide we needed to live in Ireland for the first couple years of my life. My father was 100% German.
|
I am...
Russian, Italian, Irish, Native American ( Navajo, Cherokee, and Black Foot ), with flecks of German back there somewhere. |
Bump thread
|
Oh my. Well, I'm 1/4 Sicilian on my father's side, combine that with a little English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, German, and French to get as much of my heritage as I know. I'm just a European mutt.
|
My mom's side is pretty much straight-up Dutch; my great-grandparents were immigrants, so not all that far back. My dad's side is also largely Dutch but also has some French and a bit of English and Irish. So I'm blond and blue-eyed, as I suppose most Dutch girls are, though my hair's darkened to more of a light brown/dirty blond when I hit adulthood.

This is a question I think we talk about.. every other day..
my grandfather on my father's side came from Germany.. so I know I have a mix of German and American.. through we're still unsure of my Grandmother's side at the moment. My other family.. there has been talk maybe of Irish? I know my Grandmother was not truly from Glasgow but right now, they say they are purely Scottish.. and might have links back to William Wallace.. (the William Wallace) again.. no proof yet.. but we're hoping.. |
I'm an all American mutt. :)
On my dad's side, we're German and Italian. On my mother's side, it's German and English. So that makes me 1/2 German, 1/4 Italian, 1/4 English. |
Well.
My great-grandmother was Metis, and my great-grandfather was European, not sure from where though. Probably England, who knows. So my grandfather was 50% Metis/25% Native American and 50% European. My grandma was French, simple as that. Her maiden name was LaBelle. Making my mom 25% Metis, 25% European and 50% French. My dad has a bit of German in him, that's all I know and that's going by my last name. I don't know much about his heritage, but it's definitely got European somewhere in there. Because of that, I can't put a percentage or anything to it. edit: Huh, apparently my last name is English, Danish and Norwegian. >>;; So yeah, from what I do know, I'm 12.5% Metis, 12.5% European and 25% French and probably something else from my dad's side. ><;; Here's a random old ass picture of my grandpa when he was a baby back in the 1920's or somethin'. >>;; He's the one in the white dress. LOL. |
1/2 Italian Roma (yes, I can read)
Black irish/english, german, native american , swedish. I just say Im mostly italian since it's less of remembering what grade mutt I am. |
I am a lot of things... my family is just all over the place xD
I am mostly German, Sicilian, and Russian, and then I have a little of me thats just everything xD |
im all Portuguese born Canadian who is french x'D
|
About 50 buck from my grand-pa.
Joking xD Actualy, I'm not really sure. I'm a Quebecer and I have no idea whatsoever about my family lineage. My dad says his side is a bit Irish (might explain why I like to drink that much, I don't do it often, but never say you offer anything I want... EVER. It won't end well for anybody.). I'm not sure if it's true or not. There must be some kind of hispanic blood in my family or something considering I have a much darker skin than I should (and I'm the only one in my family too, I don't really look caucasian, and I don't really look Hispanic/Latino either, it's kind of weird. Now that I think about it, my grand-ma was pretty dark-skinned too, can that skip generations?). I may have some native blood, I don't know. All I know is I'm a physical mess and I have the worst accent and prononciation possible in pretty much every language ever. Also, I don't think anybody from my family ever was important for the family or did some influencial thing or stuff like that. |
I'm a mixed Asian born in Canada, so that makes me three things. :D
Though, often being surrounded by Caucasians has made me a bit whitewashed. >.>;; |
I'm very nearly 75% irish. I am a small portion polish and english though.
|
Native American / White
|
I call myself Taiwanese, but some relatives on either side of my family went to Taiwan from China. Where in China, I'm not really sure, but I don't think have family there anymore.
|
We have a full Filipino here. No 1/2 no 1/4 no 1/900 kind of stuffs, just a 100% pure Filipino.
I can remember back then wheb I was in elementary this is quite a hot topic, my classmates would often brag about their heritages. They'll say they're part Americans, part Chinese, Spanish, and whatsoever. |
One quarter Italian, one quarter German, one eighth Swedish, one eighth Finnish, and the other quarter unknown.
|
My heritage is Russian and Polish. Thank God for those Russian genes because they gave me a pair of full lips.
|
I'm Irish, Dutch, and Cherokee Indian, mostly. There's some other stuff thrown in there, but those are the predominant ones. o 3o
|
I'm not sure about my father's side, but on my mother's I'm part African (African American? Not sure. That part of my family moved to the States just before my great grandmother was born... ._.), Native American, Spanish, German, French Canadian, and... Irish, I think. c:
|
My father side is French, so I am French.
If I could go by my mother side, she is English, like actually my great grandma came from England. XD |
I might actually have a bit of Dutch blood in me. That's...interesting.
|
I'm 1/8 Syrian and half Scottish.
|
Quote:
Anyway, I'm Scottish. My dad's side of the family is originally from Ireland (hence the Irish surname) and my mum's side are originally from Scandinavian origins because the town I live in used to be a Viking trading town. Though all recent generations are Scottish. |
From what I have been told from the older members of my family, and without doing proper research..
It would seem that somewhere down the line I'm descended from Scottish aristocracy. I am also German, Irish, Danish, and Dutch. That's all I know so far. |
I'm a mix of Irish, Scottish, Native American, and a few others (that's my mom's side of the family), and I have no clue about my dad's.
|
Primarily Native American with some Dutch and Irish, and %100 xerox copy of a great great grandparent.
|
i am 50% irish, and then german, dutch, and some english!
|
I'm mostly of English heritage howewver my mother is Aboriginal (I'm Australian) so technically I'm 50% Aboriginal but I'm a white girl lol the only one in my family with white skin rofl
|
welp, I am nearly 50/50 Irish and Russian.
BUT I AM 100% PLUTIONIAN FYI I was just bred for alcoholism. What do Aboriginals look like? |
Oh weird I thought I answered in this thread...guess not aha
I am English on my paternal side - colonist English in fact, their particular family branch started in this country in 1760...supposedly. I think I'm German too, based on my biological father's real mother maybe being a German woman from when my grandfather was stationed in Germany. But I don't know for sure, I wasn't raised by my bio dad and my granddad never talked about the woman he knew before he married. On my maternal side I ain't got a clue. Last name of my biological mom was Wilson, so I'm guessing Irish but who even knows. Never met the woman. I'm just a white American mutt, the end. |
@mummified its what the native australians are called
and i had no clue woopdi was aussie :o |
Scottish, nothing else in me ^_^
|
lol Aboriginals are indeed native to Australia aboriginals can be a term for native whatever... you can have an Aboriginal asian rofl but technically it is what Australians are known as, google Aboriginal and you'll find pictures of black people but not native American black or African black its different again. My mum is about half half so she's coffee colored lol
|
I know I'm partially German, French, Czech, and Dutch, and there might be some Irish thrown in, but we don't know for sure since my grandmother was adopted.
|
I don't know down to the percentage, but according to my mom I'm Scottish, Swedish, Danish, French, and my grandmother was a full-blooded Cherokee Native American.
