Panda, if you could work on blending your outlines into the item, I bet you'd make quite the fine pixelest. C: that's the same thing I had issues with when I first started and it took me a while to get the hang of it. but if you look at our items and see how here's really not a 1px outline around them, the shading is just darker near the edges, that's how Trisphee-style pixeling works.

you're welcome. when I was making my first attempts at pixeling which were made of fail and lose, I was told, "blend the outline in, blend the outline in, it still looks cartoony so blend the outline in." and I had no idea what I was doing wrong - I was trying to just change the color of the outline to be just a shade darker than the pixels right next to it. I thought that's what Fen and Taiki meant. XD I figured it out after watching one of Fen's pixel lessons, so I thought I'd explain it more clearly since I had trouble with the same parts.

In order to blend the outline, how should I set the layer to?

@ Rem, there are 2 ways to mask a layer. One way is to add a clipping mask and the other way is to hold your cursor between 2 layers, hold Alt (I think it's Alt, I'm not on a computer right now to double check), a weird little icon will appear and click. The layer above ther other one should get an arrow pointing down on it and now you'll only be able to draw on that layer where ever there is stuff on the layer below. I'm not at home right now, but I can make a video of me doing it on my livestream or something if you're interested. C:

Sora, your not the only one. I was like that too and mine always come out super duper duper duper ugly and everything. You have to keep practicing and there are many ways to pixel. I just found my style right now and I am using a very different technique and it is easier for me. :3

It is easy like Fenris said. Because you have to have gradient color set in other word, all the color that you see on Trisphee. All you have to do is click on a color and it will change your item to that color. If you want a certain spot on the item to change color, you can just select that area and then change that area color using the color gradient thingy.

You can apply, hon. It doesn't matter if you are under age. You just need to sign the paper thingy which is pretty easy to do. Then when you are 18 your are good to go. :]

Hermes says I should go for it anyway. But I don't have a tablet, and I don't work very well with the little laptop touchpad.

And I'm currently broke as hell, so buying a mouse is out of the question.

Batty, monoprice sell very cheap tablet! You should check their website out. It is good and very easy to use too.
