I was offered a job with a big cat rescue, PETA came into their main facility, declared the fenced in 30 acre area wasn't large enough, the fences were 'inhumane'(yet required by local ordinance since it was LARGE PREDATORS). They cited that the group was 'mean' to make the animals perform, while all they were required to do were natural behaviours like climb and jump. Pretty much, all in all, they just made a nuisance of themselves and got a lot of the groups long-standing events to cancel on them since they didn't want PETA protesters at their locations.

some PETA informational site got me started on being a vegetarian, but now I don't like 'em much either. I stick with being a vegetarian mostly for health reasons now.

I wanted to go strictly vegetarian... but ... I'm far too much in love with chicken. xD;

When I do eat, its mostly fruits, vegetables, and soy products.
Half the time, I don't eat what my mom and sister do. Unless its chicken oriented. Sometimes, though.. they expect me to eat what they do, so I'll have a super small portion.

I would be a vegetarian, after all bacon is a vegetable, but I like cow...and chicken...and pig too much to give it all up. And really, the idea of PETA is fine, it's the practice of PETA that makes me want to kill them all slowly in a meat processing plant....

I don't assume a vegetarian must like PETA(I credit most of humanity with having better taste than that), just parts of two conversations merging into one post :)
