Jinx wiggled under the clamp jaws of the elder cat, he was not… he was a kitten but he was able to do things for himself. He watched below secretly glad that Sekmet had cling to his scruff. He never witnessed the Eccentrics large moving metical beast in action. He turned his head, not baring to see any of his friends or other cats being attacked.
((How high up is the window exactly?)) |
After situating Rin away from the streetside, Mirri moved to help get the unconcious Ciaran onto Quintus' back. It took some rolling, some shoving, some manhandling, a couple non-intentional drops, dragging, and a bit of juggling before they finally had the heavy cat into something resembling a managable position.
Mirri wasn't about to leave Rin unattended in case the bobtail get herself stuck up a street lamp this time, and picked up the kitten by the scruff of her neck whether she was inclined to co-operate or not. Mouth full, she left it up to Quintus to decide whether or not to invite the newcomer to their home. (Ciaran might be a little sore in the morning...) |
((-muffling laughter again-))
Ciaran peeked one eye open, then the next... "AUGH. Too. Damn. Bright," he muttered, rolling off...somecat's back? He landed with a slight *thud*, groaning and wincing as his head smarted. Two blue orbs swam in front of him, and he blinked. Quintus's eyes came into focus, and Ciaran growled, "I'm fine..." He stood up, found that his legs had turned to water, and promptly sat back down. ((Hey, what happened to the Ragamuffin? :D Passion, do you have a profile yet?)) |
((Yes? I'm on the second post on the first page.))
|
Mirri looked Ciaran over but didn't say anything with Rin still dangling from her mouth. Seemingly satisfied that the abyssinian wasn't that injured she continued towards the shop to deposit the kitten back where she should be and left the males to sort themselves out.
(She'll being Mouschi along too if she is coming). |
Quintus looked at Ciaran laying in the alleyway. They had already crossed the street by the time he had woke up, making it much safer to just leave him where he lay now that he was conscious. Quintus then turned his head towards Mirri, just catching a glimpse of her tail slipping into the window from the crates, ((I'm assuming that the random platform for the cats to climb on is currently a crate)) and then he spun back towards the calico cat, approaching her by crossing the street again as his heart tried to beat out of his chest.
"I- um, err." His nervousness began to seep through his calm front. "thought that you might be hungry. I mean, uh, we don't have too much, but it's the least we could offer for causing so much trouble," Quintus stuttered out while motioning towards the crates. The Russian Blue was beginning to feel red.((lol)) |
((D'aaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwww~ /shot Maybe Ciaran will shove poor Quintus into awkward situations later -griiiin-))
|
As Rin was picked up again, she curled her body and tail up so she didn't dangle and swing as much. She closed her eyes a bit and purred, happy to know Ciaran was okay, and happy to be going back into the shop. The pavement was cold and the pebbles hurt the pads on her paws.
|
The Ragamuffin flicked her tail as she watched the other cats hoist the unconscious cat onto the Russian Blue's back. Could she help? She'd only get in the way. She licked a bit of dust from her chest fur and watched them cross the street. So that was it then, huh? Gone without another word? She really screwed up this time. She stood up and her stomach rumbled. Between having no food and the days excitement, she was feeling rather weak.
Before she could turn and saunter off, she noticed the Russian Blue crossing the street back towards her. She swept her fluffy tail against the pavement and licked her muzzle. She tried to look as friendly and innocent as possible... the last thing she needed right now was a fight. She sat back on her haunches in relief when the other cat spoke; poor thing was more nervous than she was. "Food?" Her ears flicked at the mentioning of a somewhat-full stomach. "Anything will do, I haven't eaten in a couple of days." She mewed softly. "I've been traveling for quite a while..." Her tail swished softly. "You causing trouble? What do you mean? I was the one careless enough to step into the road... I made your friend get hurt..." She stood up and took a step forward, her gleaming pale blue eyes wide. |
Ciaran's ears pricked up; he'd snooped his way behind a nearby sitting metal monster. His yowl and obviously wide grin (although he'd never outright admit he was grinning at all) could be heard clean across the street.
"Nah, Quintus here appreciates my help~!" He dashed off to hide a smirk, which was, in his mind, very....un-Ciaran-y. ((Yes, Ciaran has a sadistic sense of humor...)) |
As the Calico cat took a step forward, Quintus got an opportunity to see her more clearly than from afar. She was a Ragamuffin, but for a stray cat she was exceptionally well groomed, confirming what his eyes had seen. Her pale blue eyes nearly melted him where he stood, although he dare not show it, to prevent any chance of inconveniencing the Ragamuffin.
"Alright then," Quintus said in a excited voice. "Let's go!" he said, motioning her to cross the street. After he motioned the Calico Ragamuffin, he crossed the street himself with the intention of climbing the crates into the open window to the shop, in order prepare what food there was left. |
(( I wanna join as my own cat but I dont know what breed she is :(

((Foxie....You might wanna edit out that post and put it in the OOC thread. This thread for the RP only.))

Ciaran slunk through the back alley, keeping track of details he had never founf the need to take note of before. A small alcove here, a door there...Something smelled of pie overhead. He could sense, no, feel, many pairs of eyes boring into his pelt. For a normal cat, that would be unnerving. Actually...the just the alley would be unnerving in itself, eh... Ciaran's ears pricked up at footsteps scuttling around behind him.
He twisted around, claws unsheathed, and stood up with a mouse clamped tightly under his paws. Glaring at his surroundings, the Abyssinian made sure no one would come charging for his kill, picked up the mouse in his jaws, and made his way towards the shop. |
(I think the window is reasonably close to the ground at this point. The higher up one would be about a two story drop to the ground, which we dont seem to have been paying attention to.)
Mirri deposited Rin not far from the glass counter where she normally sits, also not far from the door where they saw the action happening recently. "I suggest next time that you stay inside with Jinx unless we bring you both with us." "Are we expecting a guest?" Mirri looked to see Sekhmet rounding the corner from the room with the window into the main part of the store where Mirri and Rin were. Mirri filled her in on the details that she knew while waiting for Quintus and Ciaran, and possibly one more, to return. |
((Hey guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to have to step out of this RP. I really really loved it, I really did, but I'm just not on Trisphee enough anymore to bother. I was trying to get back into the site, and honestly you guys almost kept me on, but as you can see from my inactivity, it still didn't cut it. I don't know if this will be a hiatus or leaving permanently, so I can't say I'll be back for sure. Bye guys, and I'm so sorry.))
|
((Okies, I'm sure Funk will know what to do, provided that Quintus isn't tooooooo lovestruck XD Yeah, take a hiatus; maybe you're like me and will come back a month later, a year later, two, who knows? Anyways, been nice having you around :) It's okay, no need to worry about it, really <3))
|
Quintus crossed the street entirely before turning back to look at the lonely Ragamuffin. She had sad eyes that were reluctant to leave, but determined to achieve what she had to, before moving in with her newly made friends. She was out of time, and she couldn't let other cats get involved with her own problems.
But Quintus didn't get to see those eyes long enough to know that. The Calico cat sat on the other end of the street when Quintus looked back, and he caught only a glimpse of her before she vanished as a car passed by. A hint of smoke rose from where she once stood and Quintus rub his fake eye with the back of his palm. "I know she didn't just disappear," Quintus thought. "She didn't just disappear; did she, Ciaran?" he said. ((There's seems to be some sort of magic at work that magically hides the characters of Trisphites on Hiatus XD)) |
(Sure sure, and on that note, DK is going to be away for a while too, so I'll make an absentee section so everyone's cat info will still be here. I know all about that too, Passion. I've taken several breaks from some sites, so no worries. :))
From her perspective looking out the window, Mirri couldn't see precisely what was happening between Quintus and the cat across the street, but it seemed now that the cat had gone on her own way, or was beyond the edges of the window where she could see. *Is he going to go after her?* |
Sekhmet stared at the tableau outside and glanced at Mirri, "Quite a ruckus, but at least it appears all the toes and tails are intact." She settled on her toes, her tail flicking back and forth a bit as she watched. "Definitely an event filled evening, should be interesting to see what else might transpire."
|
"mmm." Mirri made a non-commital sound and nodded her head but still looked out the window, wondering where the other cat might have gone if she didn't come with Quitus. She wrinkled her nose when Ciaran came back to the shop but otherwise didn't pay too much attention to him. If he was walking about on his own accord then he was likely to be okay. It's not likely she'd get a good look at him anyway unless Quintus were to knock him out again.
She continued to look out the window but wasn't really looking for the calico cat anymore, or any cat. She was thinking about breakfast. Notably, tomorrow's breakfast and where they were to get any with the meagre pickings. She could fend for herself, but it was a fair trek to the river and woods and returning home with anything edible was asking for alley cat trouble, and there were a few around she's rather avoid. |
Quintus looked back at the garbage can, but Ciaran was no longer there. "He must have gone into the shop then," he thought, dismissing him from his mind. Quintus then approached Mirri, who was near the open window inside. "It seems that we're going to have to deal with alley cats until we can get the window closed again," he said to her.
When Quintus opened the window to try to save the Calico cat, the bar that was jammed in the gap of the slightly open window disappeared, and even if it were to be recovered again, the window wouldn't close the same way it was opened unless they could reach the very top of the window, which they could not. |
Mirri drew her gaze away from the window, twisting around to look at Quintus, a bit of dropping sunlight reflecting off of the line of beads along her ears. She looks slightly downward, obviously in thought for a moment.
"Perhaps a bell? Like the one on Eccentric's door?" Rin has been chasing around precisely one such item, though it's likely Sekhmet has taken action to secure her peacefull reading time. "There might be some in the human toys left around the store." Mirri refers to the mound of knick-knacks and oddities that plug most of the shop, leaving few paths that anyone but cats can navigate. |
Indeed, Sekhmet had wandered back to her book, her ears flickering back and forth as she waded through the text. She's slipped off her fur piece and was laying on her, the tip of her tail swaying back and forth in counter-rhythm to her head as she followed the words on the page.
|
Quintus explored the alley way, searching for anything that could close the window and open it in a way that wouldn't require too much effort. A string, a fish skeleton, and a glass marble. Although all of them looked interesting, none of them would help him with what he wanted to do. The time ticked slowly as he searched, while the other cats worked on their own business, but he couldn't keep his mind off of the cat. Cats don't disappear like the Calico did. It wasn't frightening, but created unease nonetheless.
"I need to talk to Ciaran. He wold be the only one who would know how to explain this." Quintus then rushed off to find him, wherever he may have been. Quintus kept his eyes wide, not wanting anymore cats to disappear. |
((Ok, ok, I get the point, you guys need me x____X But I don't have too many ideas.))
Ciaran peered down at Quintus. ...If he's not careful, he'll get himself into a fight here... he mused, not too sure whether the Blue could stand up to the Hunters lurking in the alley. He chuckled, remembering the time when he himself had been a Hunter, and the times before that. Shaking himself out of nostalgia, he crept along a lengthy windowsill above Quintus, "just keeping an eye out", but actually worrying quite a bit, for the Blue. ((Note: Ciaran just had lunch. And lunch was a mouse. Infer what you want. Also, Quintus is going to get quite a few surprises if he thinks cats can't disappear. Ciaran can play a mean game of hide and seek.)) |
Inside the shop, Mirri had turned back to the window, but her mind was now on what would be next for the shop cats now that it had been a day with no sign of Eccentic and the mention of alley cats. There wasn't much food in the ice box, and food around the outside, while not uncommon, was harder to get, especially if one had to fight for it. Mirri knew what she would do. She would take the most obvious option a mother cat had: move the den to safer ground. Was that what the others wanted though? She knew what was beyond the human city, but not what was beyond that.
Her ears flattened and she frowned, as much as a cat could frown. Not committing to anything yet. Anyone have thoughts on what to do next? |
Quintus looked up once inside the alley again to find Ciaran on the fire escape. The wet bones in front of him suggested to Quintus something that was extremely horrifying, in his opinion.
"I'm not going to even ask about that," Quintus called to Ciaran, walking away. However, he rushed back a few seconds later, remembering what he had nearly forgotten. "Ciaran, you saw the calico disappear, right? What is happening?" |
The young ocelot was not sure what was going on. The commotion outside the only home that Jinx knew caused him to hide among his miscellaneous passions under the table. He listened at the sounds of the others returning from their excursion outside. His ears twitched as he crept to the room with the open window catching vague bits of conversation from outside. Jinx managed to hear what the others were saying. Someone went missing. Quickly rushed into the window with a worried look on his face for an instant Jinx assumed the metal monster had indeed murdered, but he saw every one safe. Curiously he asked inching towards edge of the window looking out into the alley “Who is missing?”
|
Zmey was rather lost. Well not lost, she knew where she was. She was in a back alley that connected to other various alleys and streets in a rather small city, well by her standards at least. The only problem was that she was uncertain as to which city she had managed to wander into this time. As she wandered she kept to the shadows, just in case any unfriendly faces decided to make an appearance. As she turned into another alley she heard voices. Drawn by her need to satisfy her curiosity, she snuck quietly into the alley and eavesdropped on the conversations being held between cats in the alley and some up on a window ledge she presumed considering from her position she could not exactly see them. She hunkered down and listened as they discussed a window and what sounded like a missing calico case. Eventually her curiosity got the better of her and she wanted to know more. Cautiously she stepped out of her hiding place, whilst keeping a distance from the stranger felines, and sat in the open. “Yes…who is missing?”
|
Jinx jumped at the sudden intrusion of the new voice. He bounced backwards off the ledge at the voice. It was a ghost, his tiny mind guessed. the missing had returned and was haunting them. As Jinx bounced back to his hiding spot spooked by the noise he realized the metal monster must have eaten another cat. Hiding in the shadows Jinx pawed at a ball while he debated if it was safe to come out.
|
Ciaran mused, "You won't ask, you say...you will when you're hungry."
Suddenly a clear voice rang out. The Abyssinian whipped around, pupils contracting to slits while he glared at yet another newcomer. "It's none of your...." He trailed off. Well, maybe it was her business. Maybe this cat could help them out. Ciaran glanced at Quintus. He was the one more curious about it, anyways. |
Tilting her head to the side slightly, Zmey stared at the jumpy rust colored cat as he whirled around and glared at her. He had begun to say something but had cut himself off and glanced at the other cat in the alley. Another male. Judging from their appearances they were probably domestic cats, though they looked like they may have had less than ideal pasts. Based off the initial reaction to her sudden appearance, she figured it best if she kept her distance for now and stay where she was until she could determine whether or it was safe to move closer. It was abnormal for her to wander so close to domestic animals, but she could not resist her curious nature. She wanted to know what they were talking about, afterall vanishing calicos? It sounded like the start of an interesting ghost story or mystery.
|
Mirri was quite to hear the kitten as he skittered for cover and she bound from her customary display case perch towards the window, leaping onto the sill to fill the window with her bulk. She looked around for the cause of the kitten's sudden fright. She couldn't see the boys so they may or may not be nearby. The only thing of note that she could see was a pale striped cat sitting in the open portion away from the alleyways beside the shop. Mirri knew almsot all the cats that currently wandered in the area. This was not one of them.
Mirri watched the cat for a few moments to see if she appeared at all combative or was just passing through. Not appearing to be a threat, Mirri lay herself across the window sill, looking more relaxed but making no move to get out of the way. "I have never seen you here. Who are you?" Mirri is not particularly polite, but is not particularly rude either. |
((Eh? I didn't know we were close enough to be seen from the shop. Ah well.))
|
Not sure. Mirri can't see you guys I figure, but I assume she can see Zmey because she's sitting out in the open, if I read that right. I'll edit a bit if it helps.
|
"Whether or not other cats get invovled shouldn't matter too much," Quintus thought as he looked the Burmilla. "She has a watch around her neck. Maybe she's a fan of shiney things as well... wait, that's not the point!" Quintus shook his head before speaking. "It doesn't matter, but Ciaran, if we don't find the cuase of these disappearances, we could be next." Quintus did his best to make his statement sound grave and serious... but in reality it just made him sound as though he were desperate for help to find a certain lost love.
|
Zmey glanced upward. From her position she couldn't clearly see where the new female voice came from. The males she could see however did not seem surprised by the voice, so she guessed that they must have known it's owner. The Blue Russian's comment on disappearances peaked her curiosity further, but she did not comment on it. Instead she returned her attention back to the female voice's question. "My name is Zmey. I'm new in town...at least I think I am. It really all depends on what town this really is."
(( Also just to note, Zmey doesn't have any stripes, she's white with really light grey paws and tail tip ^^ )) |
"Hmmm, well I better explain the situation before some meddling kids and a dumb dog gets involved," Quintus said. He emphasized the word "dog" in dislike becuase of the vague memories of dogs who tormented him about the metalic side of his head. "My name is Quintus, by the way. Shortly before we met you, another new acquaintance of ours, this calico raggamuffin disappeared, shortly after being invited inside of our little shop, here." Quintus motioned towards the open window before continueing while pondering wether or not that had anything to do with the disappearance. Tossing the idea out, he began again: "The cat disappeared as a car was passing by, so we're not exactly sure what had happened. We're speculating."
"Whatever that means," the cat thought. |
Woops. Sorry. Thought I saw some in the pic.
Mirri looked at the new cat and remained largely passive. "I'm not sure what the humans call this town. They seem to have lots of names for it, or can't decide which one to use. You aren't familiar to me though, and I have been here for a while. You are on town's edge now." She hears Quintus' voice as he adresses Zmey as tells her what had occured. The calico disappeared? Her ears perked up and she immediately looked to where the Blue's voice had come from. That is unexpected. |
